What's the deal with that extra band?
There is a law in Canada the tobacco has to be in plain packaging. The cigar bands are replaced with plain bands some places just place the band over the original. The Cigars are also placed in a plain box as well if a box purchase is made. That is one reason I usually order from outside of the country.

I have never seen authentic Cuban cigars wrapped in plastic inside the box.
Quality checks, Some places offer it. I never had issues with EGM. I am from Canada and any Cubans I get from them are the same that are on the shelves.

Thats so weird. Why do they open the sealed box, put their egm logo sticker in them, and wrap it back up in plastic?
Shipping and quality checks. I live in Canada and Habanos are legal and in every shop. These Cigars are the same as any I pick off of the shelves.
I had no idea that new world cigars are harder to get in Canada, then habanos.
Yes we have some brands, but there are a lot that’s not available if they are in low quantities. I spend a lot on customs to pick up good sticks from the US.

The My Father is great, The Bull can be hard to find, Opus is excellent, Padron is consistent, never had the Pumpkin, VSG is good……overall looks like you got a great haul

This is the best cigar I have had in a while.
Assorted would be a sampler. My first box was Padron No 35 Serie 1926, then I lost my high paying job and my next bow was Isla Del Sol Maduro in a Toro size. Now I'm working back up with a Grupo de Maestros Collection, 2012 and 2015.
