The biggest thing regarding litter or litter boxes is not to buy a plastic litter box. I have bought various types of litter and that doesn't really matter. Since I switched to all steel litter boxes I rarely have any odor.

Great vid! I have a rescue cat and shortly after I got her she started pooping on the furniture and I had no idea why, I tried so many things for like 2 weeks to figure out why she was unhappy. I finally realized that the issue was that she hated the litter I'd gotten her and she only wanted the same litter she'd had at the shelter. This vid would have really helped me back then because for some reason changing the litter out was the last thing I considered during the poop war lol

Our cats think they own the house so yes they get on countertops. You appear to be a vegetarian. Our little boy cat loves meat. Hey has learned from the dog the trigger of humans in the kitchen and how to beg for treats.

I’ve often wondered about this. Cats are actually quite clean.

Note: I do sanitize my countertops at least once a day and always before cooking! 😝

Here's more info on PRICES: I'll use the Rover app as an example because it's the most popular. Cat sitting rates on Rover can vary depending on the sitter, the number of cats, and the type of service. Generally, this is what I've found: Per visit: Sitters charge $15-$30 per visit for a 30-minute service Per night: Sitters charge $25 per night for a 24-hour service Additional cats: Sitters charge an extra $5 for each additional cat In a larger city prices may be a little higher. You can ask your sitter to visit once a day or multiple times a day. Rover will charge based on the number of individual visits. You can book someone for just one visit, or you can book someone for multiple weeks on end, depending on your need. Each visit is expected to be a minimum of 30 minutes. You can ask them to visit for longer times for an additional cost. A lot of this can be worked out while you are choosing a sitter. You can message them your needs and then select the person who sounds like the best fit for you. Next, you schedule a meet & greet at your home to go over details and exchange info/keys/etc. A boarding facility will charge about $22 per day for one cat ($38 for two). This is in a smaller city though! I live in Olympia, WA. I'm sure it's more expensive for dogs or in a state like CA. Also, do a quick Google search for pet sitting services in your area, and check out their prices. Supporting local small businesses is a great way to support your community and keep your money within your own community rather than giving it to a massive corporation like Rover. If you have a friend or family member you trust who can cat sit for you that will probably be the most cost effective option. Personally, I still like to pay people for their time so I just choose a rate a little lower than what I see on Rover in my area. Hope this helps! ❤🐱

I'm on my home from vacation and cannot wait to sniff my cats!! My big boy smells like Fritos. Our princess smells like dryer sheets. Our little boy smells like fresh air. And our floof girl smells like hmm floof. Oh and you have to smell a fuzzy rabbit. It's almost better than cats!

I got lucky, or unlucky depending on veiw point. But when I brought my boy in from outside, he had really bad pillow foot and his paws were constantly bleeding. I had to force him to let me put the ointment on his paws but eventually he realized my "touch" healed him. So now he just offers his paws when I'm ready to clip clip
