Sean had my favorite line- "..TEK is its own stand-alone knowledge with its own epistemology that's been in constant development for ten thousand years before Karl Popper was potty trained"

Fantastic and MUCH NEEDED discussion. Dr. Finney I was so moved by your talk as someone who grew up on an estate (in the old carriage house!) in Westchester County loving nature and joining the civil rights movement when I was 10 years old. I have focused on the issues discussed for over 25 years as an anthropologist working on and in conservation. It is a hard slog but if we don’t take the approaches discussed, conservation efforts will fail. They simply will never achieve critical mass, relevance and buy in from the most important actors, those who daily live with biodiversity and those who live with environmental injustice. Many inspiring ideas from this video that I will use and pass on to colleagues.
