The website mentions recommendation for a stud conversion. Is this just if you are doing 4x100 and use the heliocouled hole? Also, is the MK disk required just to keep the offset correct? If someone didn't want to use these disks could a spacer be used instead?

The 36-1 wheel from the EDIS system or the aftermarket versions can be used universally, so long as whatever controller youre using recognizes it. For example i just built a setup for a customer using an ignition side only speeduino board, an sbc or bbc cam synchronizer from a 99-00 7.4 liter or for us fraction loving americans a 454 cubic inch big block 😮, Ls / Vortec finned individual truck coils and of course a 36-1 wheel. When setting up the speeduino with Tuner studios free version itll ask you to pick what wheel youre using from a list that has 24x, 58x, 36-1, and maybe one or two others, at which point you can run the whole deal in wasted spark mode and skip the cam synchronizer or if you just have to have sequential ignition you can add it in. Now the synchronizer im referring to was only made by chevy for their last go with the 454 and its essentially the 96-03 vortec distributor (pancake crab looking one) without a rotor or any high voltage stuff plus its cap is smooth, all it does is run a hall effect cam sensor and drive the oil pump. The sensor is the same one found in Vortec 350s, and 305s super simple and super cheap. The Ls Vortec truck coils and brackets can be made to work with gen 1 sbc or bbc valve covers or ypu can remote mount. and if you sourcing from a yard please for the love of god and all his angels get your parts from one vehicle especially if your having someone else put this together for you. Yes most stuff in the Ls family feom the cars to the trucks is interchangeable but theres just enough little differences to make parts from multiple vehicles play nice a nightmare. Anyway like i said speeduino can do COP conversions it can handle fuel from tbi to sequential mpfi, plus wide band O2 enabled "self tune" is in tuner studios software and all at a fraction of the cost of a comparable megasquirt unit not to mention any of the big boys like holley, FAST etc....

Conveniently leaves out the gas tank removal. Love that

The rubber on my pulley pushes the wheel out and makes it more difficult to center but it's a good piece. Trying to find a pulley in better shape is hard. 😅

A 4 cylinder really is the best Mk.1 engine choice. I miss my 16v. This 8v sounds amazing. (have a VR Mk.3, so I'm unbiased)

this is only for the collapsible steering columns, i found this out after buying the original rare bearings only to realise my column is the solid round type not the squared one with the collapsible shaft.

Can you provide more info on how you made the coolerworx shifter fit with original boot? Did you drop it down lower from the tunnel surface? Trying to do this on a mk2 and it seems no one has achieved a clean look with coolerworx 02j shifter.
