Love the music, great video I'm from Walterville the best. I live in South Carolina and miss beautiful Oregon.

Great video.....Thanks. Having grown up on the McKenzie Hwy between McNutt Rd and Partridge Ln, it was nice seeing the old stomping grounds. I even seen my childhood Elementary School (Walterville) that I spent first grade to sixth grade at in the late sixties and early seventies. I vividly remember visiting that fish hatchery in Leaburg many times as a kid. Brings back great childhood memories.

I'm not really a fan of White Castle, especially since they no longer offer veggie sliders and I'm a vegetarian, but I really liked the drive. Thank you for filming and uploading it for us!

This is such a gorgeous drive! I've always wanted to visit Blue River someday. And the burns, they're bittersweet, because of course it hurts to see so much life burned, but at the same time, the burns benefit the forest and ecosystems in the long term. It's nature's way of burning away and out the excess and invaders so it can re-balance itself back to a more natural, healthy, native state. The char feeds the earth and the seedlings of the trees that burned, and enrich the soil and waterways with much needed nutrients for vitality and growth.

Beautiful covered bridge, i go after a few in my area or if im away, ive not seen one constructd like this, thanks for the share..

I adore Newport and the central coast so much. Somehow in my 30 years of life born & raised here in Oregon, I haven't yet made it south of Waldport on the coast. I've only been to Waldport and Alsea Bay once as well, sometime in the late 2000s. So seeing it again at the start of this video is awesome. My great grandpa Oscar was one of the people who was part of the construction crews who built the Yaquina Bay Bridge back in the 50s. He wound up having to leave working on it about 2/3 through to completion due to getting Jaundice (Yellow Fever) from working on it, ironically. Still pretty damn special, unique and cool!

I lived in Dundee in the 60's and went to the old school next to the highway. Great place back then to grow up.

I love home here in the Pacific Northwest, and here in Oregon, especially for the ecosystems and scenery. So so beautiful always. For a future route, consider the Salmon River Hwy (18) westbound to Otis, or, include a little section of 101 into Lincoln City/Neotsu, or to Cascade Head on the north side of the mouth of the river. We have that unique Larch planting on the south ridge in Rose Lodge/Grand Ronde planted in the form of a Smiley face. Your start point could be anywhere in the east end of the highway. Dallas, Independence, Amity, Dundee/Dayton, West Salem, McMinnville, you name it.
