Your testimony appeared unexpectedly on my news feed, and it feels like a confirmation for me because I hadn’t addressed my situation before. I didn’t have weight issues until an adult. I believe the lord is telling me my weight loss, will come through fasting and prayer.

I been fasting all summer (days at a time, week straight, every week ) - but unfortunately Idk if I am doing it right! I still feel stagnant and hope to see the fruit of my labor eventually. Dont get me wrong sometimes I feel like I hav a third eye, but still my discernment doesnt seem right. I Cant wait to come back evantually to see how far I have come

2:00 in and I hit that sub button. So refreshing to see more Jesus followers using this platform to exalt His name and win souls. In November 2023 The Lord spoke to me lovingly but harshly about gluttony and the desecration of His Temple. I wept, repented and December 1st I got serious about getting healthy. Today I’m down 60 lbs. and 10 lbs from my goal. I cut all processed carbs and sugar. That’s it’s the weight fell off. I also had gastric bypass 13 years ago and kept the weight off until I went through a difficult divorce in 2019. Food was my comfort. 2020 lock down, Chile I was home alone, working from home, baking cakes and eating it all the things. I never heard the term insulin resistance. If I knew 13 years ago what I know now, I wouldn’t have taken the surgery route. Not shaming anyone who does but having gastric bypass left me contending with malnutrition. But I thank God for His mercy and wisdom that we will not be destroyed by the enemy’s covert tactics against the children of God.

Good morning! Thank you so much for this message. I had to comment about having a younger child and how it changes the amount of time you spend in the Word😂. Be encouraged that when he turns like 4 years old, you will have more free time because he will play by himself. My daughter is 6 now and I tell you it makes a big difference. I'm so grateful for children's Bible books, but I was getting so tired of reading those kiddy stories but I didn't have the mental strength to deep dive in the Word😂 when she was a baby. Anyway, just know that you aren't the only one and it gets so much better.

Thank you Faye for this video! I love how you highlighted seeking the Lord for ourselves because God has strategy for each of us. I had my first doctor appointment today with a center that does medically supervised weight loss, and I also felt some type of way at first. I definitely want to be healthy, but I’ve been 300 pounds for the last 10 years, and something has to change. I accept the Lord’s strategy for ME, because He has a strategy that He determined is best for me! Praying for all of us to accept His strategies for us and that we are patient while He transforms us!

It’s amazing how A LOT of men shame particularly black women for being overweight, while NOT linking the trauma that A LOT of them have caused us. Some men turn to drinking, excessive sexual habits, gambling, etc when stressed but a lot of women turn to food because it’s easily accessible. I was only 5 years old when my 16 year old neighbor tried to violate me. If you see pictures of me from 5 to 6 years old your jaw would drop! I gained SO MUCH weight and looked like a completely DIFFERENT kid! It took me YEARS to realize (Only by the grace of God) that, that’s when my problems with my weight and self esteem started! Once again, it’s truly sad what unhealed trauma does to your mental health!!! P.S. A lot of people in the comments are saying that they need deliverance from overeating. But, overeating is NOT that problem. (That’s why a lot have gained their weight back) The problem is the unhealed emotions/spirits BEHIND the overeating. (For example, trauma, lack of self control, low self esteem, etc) Once you ask God to show you the ROOT of your problem and then pray against/fight against that, THEN your deliverance will come!!! ❤️

I found you on your Faye in the city page a few years ago when I decided to start wearing my hair curly versus straight all the time. My spirit connected with yours immediately and I believe I even left a comment saying that. I subscribed to that channel. Today, this popped up in my newsfeed and I didn’t even know you had this channel. I do not struggle with obesity, but when I tell you, this video was so encouraging! I thank God for you and your willingness to serve His people. Please don’t stop ministering! May God continue to bless you and all that you do!

My friend sent me this and I guess I needed this right now! God always knows what we need to hear. I had 2 spirals and breakdowns yesterday and I asked God to reveal Himself to me and He did at the end of the night through my friend. Then this video was also right for me, and right before going to work that I’m having some issues at, besides the issues I’m having in my personal life too.

I feel bad about an idea. I feel Abundant and can help others. But recently I feel bad because I realise I will age. Makes me feel not abundant and having no future. No matter how healthy I keep continue to be and how many sport.. the reality is harsh. No fasting will change. Since then I'm depressed and everytime I enjoy I know it will go away

I was one of those people who had weight loss surgery but gained the weight back over the years. You were right when you said after the surgery the eating decision’s that we make is still up to us. I just came across your video and this video didn't hit close to home, it hit home. Everything you mentioned in this video, I've experienced in my life. From the many sexual abuse as a child and never telling anyone about it till this day, to the weight change due to my terrible relationship with food. I don't smoke. I've never touched a cigarette in my life and I don't drink. But for the past seven years I've been struggling with my weight because I don't exercise and can't control my eating habits. I give into food temptation very easily. I really need God's help because I cannot do it on my own. I've tried everything: juicing, keto, pills, IF, etc.
