Do you need HEAT to clean carpet or upholstery 🤔
มุมมอง 239ปีที่แล้ว
In this video I explain how to clean carpet or upholstery with out heat. Some say that you cant but this experiment says otherwise. Don't get me wrong. It is definitely helpful to have heat. I'm just explaining that it is not 100% necessary.

Air Hog/ Water Hog Set Up/ Remote Controlled plus some tips
No offense but your like 20 years behind with that string mop
I just recently purchased one after watching your videos on them. My first commercial tile job and I lost pressure halfway through the job using a spinner with it up at 600. Not sure if it got hot or what happened. Seems to be working today. Very happy with the setup so far.
Good to hear! Never had the loss of water pressure. Doubt it got too hot. Id start with checking the jets on the spinner.
Not sure. I know the pressure went to zero after that with nothing coming out. Fired it up the next morning and working fine. Scared me a little due to only having it a few weeks. Great job on your videos by the way!!
Lazy move the chair
Do you use heat or just 1200 psi?
700 psi and heat. That's as high as the warrior goes.
@@Metalhead0426 Can you use a machine with more psi without heat? Thanks in advance.
@@Joeshmowfromkokomo Yes. Heat isnt required to clean tile and grout. The tile cleaner does all of the work. You can throw in agitation beforehand just to be sure if its a dirty job.
Hi, did you had any electrical issues or switches burnt with your airhog?
@NotTooExtreme all the time. About 3 years ago I bought a truckmount and haven't looked back
@Metalhead0426 thank you for your reply. Will help me to decide.
@@NotTooExtreme Something about having to work on a machine that is new or less than a year old doesn't sit right with me. I bought the vortex first then the air water hog. Same issues so I moved on.
You aren't showing anything. What do you use? Why post this?????
thanks for the 411!!
Thanks You. It's. Bery. Good. This. Information
Did you disconnect the battery?
I have asbestos tiles in a breezeway that are dirty and discolored but probably haven’t had wax on them for at least 25 years. Do you have different recommendations for this kind of situation?
Dont you use a scrubber machine to pick up the stripper
No just the vacuum. People use an auto scrubber to clean and top scrub. For these smaller jobs, it not needed.
@Metalhead0426 yeah I mostly see them use in big jobs like supermarket the auto scrubber
@@Metalhead0426if I do not have the vacuum can I just wet mop and clean up the stripper like that?
@s2mar33 I've seen people do it. I don't recommend it. It's leaves the floor sticky. You're better off getting a squeegee and a regular wet dry vac.
@Metalhead0426 ok thank you
I have a question, can the floor be buffed with a buff pad with the machine you used to strip the floor with?
You can. Ive had to do it before in a pinch but ideally you want to use a high speed burnisher. The burnisher will do a much better job.
I recently bought a vortex lite and my vac motor doesn't work. I even had magic wand send me a new ( yellow) circuit box and it still doesn't work. I've only had the machine for 6-7 months....and done only 4-5 jobs and its breaking down already......
Is polarity of the 2 wires important on the breaker or can you land them on eather side??
@williamd6967 I don't think it matters but you can look at your other breakers to see how they are in there
I had to watch this for work." this is just so that know I watched it" Other than that, great video.
Excellent video.
How long does it take to do this
I think this job took around 6 hours
Can you do a video cleaning upholstery with this machine?
I actually have one.. th-cam.com/video/IvOKzCujI3E/w-d-xo.html
I'm trying to buy the spartan products but I can't find them. Where to buy them?
I buy the wax and stripper locally at Brady IFS. But I also see where you can buy it on Amazon if you cant find another distributer.
Where did you buy this machine, and the attachments did you buy separate.
I got pretty much every thing from JonDon.
how much make a estimate for school similar to video, thanks only aprox you make this 2 days with 4 people, 20 hours in total, ahhh 80h x $20 = 1600 dollars for the job , what is you opinion thanks
@@123MATEMATICAS123 I think $1600 would be too low. You need to make that at least in one day with you buying the materials and paying employees
in computation the honda what is the best and how much is the cost the you motor thanks
@123MATEMATICAS123 I've only owned the Kohler so not sure what is the best. This motor is probably around 3k new
I was stripping one room for 3days... Layers upon layers wax and never end
Probably you used weak stripper and didn't allow enough dwell time. I can cut thru 20 coats of floor finish with one strip application and one flood scrub .
If you allow the stripper solution to dry on the floor it makes the removal 10 times harder to remove. Stick with 300 foot areas at a time to prevent this
Maybe because your working by yourself at least have 2 people with u
How did you know it was thee breaker
The breaker should have been able to carry the load I put on it
Good to hear you've got it in time for warranty. Have you thought about taking those LX or ZX motors and retrofit into something like All American Mack? for a reliable legit backup, you've already got your fuel fire heat
No I haven't. I wanted to get away from ETMs all together. This machine has proven itself to be way more reliable even with this breakdown.
I wanna get the prospector but I run a mobile detailing business and it doesn’t look very portable
This machine weighs about 150 pounds but they do make machines half this size. It may not be prospector brand. I seen them at TCS in Georgia
@@Metalhead0426got ya I have the hp60 just arrived yesterday what you you use these machines for mostly? Are you strictly carpet cleaning?
Was this just cleaning the floor or also removing a layer of epoxy? Our epoxy is flaking and I wanna strip it to the bare floor.
Just cleaning. If I remember correctly it did remove some of the old sealer but it will not completely strip the floor
Thank you
Have you done any work with burnishing? If so I'd like to see your process if possible.
No I'm sorry I haven't
those waves arent going to cause that much stripper to be left behind i use the same machine and I work on a building where they laid the tile over a dirty floor which left massive waves.. my fix was to replace the builds frequently maybe once every couple of weeks cause the blades will ware out decently fast cause of the stripper all its good to wipe the blades to get out any gunk you are dragging to keep maximum contact with the floor hope this helps
Thanks. We were new to using the machine. We realized that we didnt have the blades all the way down
how long do you have to wait between each coat?
I normally have to wait 25 to 30 mins then about an hour after the last coat before I walk on it.
Love this Job
Lighten it up I see the difference immediately that carpet was dirty love seeing that soil thru that tiny window 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Should clear the entire floor.
Are you having any problems with your prospect 500. Any issues yet
Zero issues
Not sure I think the Prospect500 is a good
Great video Thanks
Look better with the pad one, not mop
Wondering how much did you charge for this job , thank you , new follower here!
.60 per square feet is what I charge so this job was around $2700. 3 of us stripped it because I was busy at the time and needed to knock it out fast. 2 of us waxed it the next day. This job could have easily been done in one day.
Well u showed the process of stripping and waxing the large open area, but what about the small rooms, restroom, etc with obstacles to work around. Thats where is gets interesting and noone seems to show those areas on video.
Same process but a little slower and do smaller sections. I will try to include some smaller areas in my next video
How do you price a job like this?
I charge by the square footage. Price per square foot will depend on your area. It ranges from .60 to 2 dollars a sf. It comes down to how much people are willing to pay and how much profit you need to make.
Have this machine but the spray is not coming from the wand ,
Check the quick connects to make sure they are connected. Sometimes when new they can be a little harder to connect. Be sure to connect the solution line before you turn on the water pump.
The liquid is not coming from the wand
Gf owns a massage studio. Cannot find help. What would be a good pre spray to get out of smashed down, slick, glue down commercial carpets squares? Slick because of feet body oils, massage lotion and massage oils. Iwill be using a new Oreck 12’ floor scrubber to bring the pile up but need to know what spray to use. ……. Brushed it by hand and Dawn Powrwash little bottle, then Big Green machine. Took 4 hours ONE room!!! (Why I bought an Oreck now) I have 24 rooms left to go. Please provide an answer, and thank you !!! I want to: pump bottle spray pre cleaner, Oreck floor scrub it, Big green carpet cleaner - clean it, Big Green rinse pass. Is this efficient?
Have you ever rented a generator from Home Depot for a job like this?
I havent. On this job it wouldn't be worth the trouble as you would have to run 2-150ft extension cords from the generator outside to the machine. Its whole lot easier to just use their power.
Does the machine warn you if both outlets are on the same circuit?
Yes it has a built in circuit locator. I didnt know this when I made the video
What do you think about the prospect 500 so far?
I like this newer model way better than the last. Bigger tank, built in circuit locator, different pump, and its more quiet
Is Prospector brand better than the Sandia Sniper 500?
@@pedroandrade2103 I think they are the same machine with different branding
Nice video, thanks. Hope this helps, look at the plug one is bronze colored the silver colored, they should always match up that way.
I love big wide open floors like this! Well done guys! Looks nice.
Thank you!
Are these pre sprays safe for pets?
All I know is that they are safe for pets after the cleaning is done. Any pet should not be walking around on the carpet while you are cleaning.
awesome!🤩
