Hi, when painting a partial silicone, you can paint the front n back of the limb correct? But, on a fbs you paint one side , then let it cure before painting the other side correct? I would be afraid the color mix don’t come out the same.
@@mommapatsnursery2655 yes that's correct. In order to get a perfect color match from one side to the other, I mix a large batch of tint with part B, then when your ready to use it, just mix it in equal parts to part A, and thin, so I have enough to do several babies as there are certain colors that I use for every baby.
@@asmallworldnursery oh ok, so as long as a and b is not mixed with paint , it won’t cute. Thank you. For the bb partial silicone kits, they are orange. Would or should I start with a blues wash?
@@mommapatsnursery2655 I always mix my tints with part B and store in a small container. Since there is no part A mixed in, it will not cure. I don't personally do washes on silicone - I mainly do mottle layers. I've painted 5 Bountiful Baby silicones and I've never had to color correct them. If it were me, I'd start doing my undertones and a layer or two of mottle and see where your at!
@@asmallworldnursery ok, thank you so much
@@mommapatsnursery2655 your welcome♥️
Thank you for doing these videos on silicone painting. I have several bountiful baby partial silicone kits. I’m going to use one to practice on. I have your personal made wedges. I’m looking forward to following your videos. I also follow you on Facebook.
@@mommapatsnursery2655 Awwe your so very welcome! If you have any questions you can message me here or on my Nursery♥️

Do you sell starter kits? I have a full silicone baby, unpainted. It was gifted to me and I don't even know where to begin.
@@audreylacombe992 Hi! I'm not sure what you mean by a starter kit? Are you looking for paints/products?
💜💚👋

Wow, that’s so clever. Thank you for this.
Your so welcome♥️
@@asmallworldnurseryMay I ask when you fill up the opening do you use the 2 part silicone product?
@@gail332 yes, just mix A&B and thin slightly - then add inside the wound, making sure to wipe andyexcess off! The wound should close together nicely on its own!
I appreciate so much your tutorials. You're clear step by step information is wonderful‼️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Thank you so very much . Luv M
Awe that is so kind! Thank you so much♥️
Yaay I get to watch one of your videos! I decided to cut out of the day early. This is great? Thanks for sharing!!
Hey girl! So glad you got to be here♥️
How much are your new borns
It depends on if you're looking for vinyl or silicone.
Was looking for the silicone baby
@@dawnkalybaba7221 my silicone ranges in price depending on sculpt and additional features such as armatures.
If you have armatures and sun sculpt just a ball park price
@@dawnkalybaba7221 The price would vary depending sculpt - partial or full body. If you want, you could message me on my Nursery page and I could give you a better idea of price.
Are you using air dry or heat set paints with them? I use air dry paints and one of the problems I've had with beauty blenders swelling up when I try to do my mottling.
I paint with Genesis now but for the first 3 years, I used Golden. They will swell when saturated, but the best tip I can give you is to use a wide, flat brush, and just sweep your paint across the top of the sponge... you don't need to fill it with a lot of paint.
@@asmallworldnursery Thank you! Golden is one of the few different brands I use. I wondered if I was adding too much water as well?
@@PrincessPopular6417 I mean you have to dilute it to the right concentration of color, , but swiping the brush across the top helps keep it more on the surface.
I really want those colors lol I have everything pink in my office:) Is it possible to get it if I purchased a 3rd set? And is it possible get all small holes just not the big round holes? If not I understand🩷
Absolutely! Just pm my page and we can chat about it!
Interesting ..great concept and this can be done with any painting medium of your preference ?
These would strictly be for painting vinyl babies. They are latex free, but I'm still playing with ways to use them with Silicone.
We've had horrible weather here in Kansas also! Happy painting!
I have both Jack and Posy. Don’t know when I’ll get around to painting them. The weather had been quite bad with lots of snow in WV. It was 53 today but that’s not going to last!
