Its a lot easier than it looks took 10 minutes to remove everything including separating the two halves. Remove belt cover and slip off auger belt from pulley, remove spring,remove Chute, remove 4 bolts that hold two valves together. Once two valves are seperated put piece of wood or something in Chute to hold auger from spinning, remove pulley on back of housing, remove space adapter. Now remove two bolts on either side of housing and pull auger assembly out of housing. After pulling everything off shaft keeping track of where everything goes in order make sure when putting auger blades on small side goes in large side faces out. Also a good time to seperate the gearbox and check worm gear. Its brass and gets destroyed over time and auger wont spin. Easy to replace and fill back up with grease and silicone bead to put back together

Yes I apparently did the same thing running into ? but I want to thank you for posting this video about the steps in removing the auger very helpful also you mentioned left and right auger that was very helpful. You moved around a lot but it didn't matter to me at least you showed what you were doing to get behind the impeller and remove the bolt. Thanks again.

I would like to suggest that you use 400 or 600-grit paper around the axle when the augers were off to sand them down a little. Then I would have put some WD40 or light oil on the shaft to slow down any rust in the future. I would have oiled the back of the chute housing in the area of the blade to help stop rust from starting or getting worse, Another suggestion to make life easier would be to install the shear pins right after you installed an auger and not wait until it would be back in the housing. I hope this helps.

I’m doing that inside auger mod with pieces of rubber to throw the snow further...the heavy wet stuff, and wasn’t 100% sure how to access that auger....now, back to the garage and get this project done! 👍🏻🇺🇸
