WHITE-EYED PARAKEETS!

White-eyed Parakeets are an exotic species in South Florida, native to a large part of South America. This species was not too uncommon in the cagebird trade. SHORT-TAILED HAWK DIVE!
มุมมอง 2005 หลายเดือนก่อน
There are only an estimated 200 pairs of Short-tailed Hawks in the U.S. About 99% are found in the state of Florida with Arizona and Texas having a few. They eat almost exclusively birds! They will "kite" in the air over their intended prey. They will then "parachute" down and go into a full dive! From my experience, their success rate is pretty low. This is an immature dark morph who had an un...

    • @plainswanderer3043
      @plainswanderer3043 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      All non-game birds in the United States are protected by law. The Common Ground-Dove found in the United States would be a protected species. There are many others species of ground-doves found from Mexico south into South America. The Pygmy Ground-Dove may be a fancy name for one of the others species south of the U.S. border. So species south of the border may not have laws protecting them. So perhaps those are one of the species sold online.
