John Barry - The Persuaders Theme - guitar cover
This is my version/arrangement for playing "the persuaders" theme on guitar. I don't write down all the notes, but here are the main chords which the accompaniment and melody is played around or respectively from/to. That should help to figure out the rest you can see and hear in the video if you are interested in playing it for yourself.

Tanz der Vampire : Noten - Fearless Vampire Killers : sheet music

Because so many have asked, here are the notes. drive.google.com/file/d/1Tk76RX6fsd5_Zliwl0M_FSKR1s9_bv4v/view?usp=sharing However, I have created them on my own just from listening but unfortunately oriented to the Pal-DVD, so the pitch is a semitone too high and besides, they are not 100% accurate, so feel free to improve for yourself...

Sorry for some rythm-problems and the vocals. Especially the melodic part should have been sung by a nice woman's voice of course, but somehow non was available :( So : this Song is in beta-state

What is the name of the minuet of the dance of the vampires?
Good question, but I don't think minuets in general need to have any names. Looking at Bach or Mozart they mostly are also just called "minuet in G", "minuet in D" or "minuet" only for example. It's like other things in classic musics, if it's a dance, it's just called "dance" or "Toccata" oder "Fuge in D Minor" etc. if it's such... And as in this case the notes and recordings were lost long ago and therefore the music never made it to any soundtrack, we will probably never know if there was any name or working title. But I could imagine if it were released on the soundtrack it also would just have been called something like "Ball room minuet". Or "The Dance of the Vampires" as you kind of have suggested already would have been a good title as well. If I want to refer to it I call it "Minuet from the Roman Polanski movie 'The fearless Vampire Killers' aka 'Dance of the Vampires' by Christoph Komeda". Then everybody will know what I'm talking about. And if there was any title but most people never have heard of it you would have to explain anyways. So I think no title is needed. It's A minuet and THE minuet from the movie.
@@Vok1970 Thanks for summing up in a few words. But the musical theme must be registered somewhere in Europe. someone must have created it. I don't know where you're from, but I think you're close to solving the enigma.
@@juanlagos2125 Don't know what you mean by "someone must have created it". The complete music of the movie of course is written by Krzysztof Komeda and the minuet is clearly also his work because it repeats Sarah's Theme. But you cannot find the sheet music anywhere within the complete work of him, otherwise it would have been released in any form by now. It also seems that the studio had no recording of it left because if it existed the ballroom music would have been featured on any soundtrack publication for sure because it's the climax of the movie and people are asking for it till this day. Sadly Komeda died early from Hematoma in 1969 just 2 years after the movie and 4 months before Sharon Tate was murdered. And he fell into a coma even months before, so that music somehow must have gotten lost very early on and obviously was not part of his legacy. So all we've got left is the movie itself and the other music score from this and his other movies and the rest of his work. However, I don't think that he had given it any name other than minuet and if it were released with the soundtrack and they had no title they probably had made up one. And what's wrong with it if you just call it "ballroom minuet" because that's what it is... But good luck with researching Komeda's work if you want to give it a try yourself.
@@Vok1970 Si Krzysztof Komeda created the musical score for the film. that minuet should also have been recorded as part of the film's sundtrack. I am from South America and I think that you as a musician from Europe. you are closer than me.
@@juanlagos2125 Agree, it should have been released with the soundtrack but it never was. Not on any releases even if they were called "the complete work of Krzysztof Komeda". And besides that, the minuet is not the only music missing from this movie. My guess is that the studio has lost parts of the recordings. Perhaps through a fire or another accident. And we have no written notes in Komedas legacy to find out the exact partiture or any titles. Seems like there is a spell with this or a curse :) And yes, being in germany I am closer to poland but nevertheless I don't have any connections there. And even if I'm older: When the movie came out first and Komeda died I wasn't born yet either, so I got most informations from the internet, too. Therefore it makes no real difference where you are. I was also searching for the music since 20-30 years ago and as I could see it, many other people did so as well until this day. But nobody was lucky so at one point in time I decided to listen to the DVD and try to play it myself. But that's not the real deal. The pitch is too high and the accords are not all really accurate oder genuine. But besides that, Komeda did never made transcriptions for one instrument as I know. So if the notes existed, they would have been the parts for cello, cembalo etc. I also think if I would listen to it again nowadays, I would play it differently to make it sound more accurate. But I don't make much music anymore for health reasons and if I do, I play the guitar. And I gave up hope long ago that authentic or official material ever sees the light of day. So we might never find out more as little if Komeda had any title in mind. And that was your question, right ? How the song is called... And it's a good question because nobody knows. But you can suggest that there likely was no title ever. Other than being a minuet. My guess is that with other movie scores (Star Wars for example) the composer also doesn't create names for all his music other than "The Force Theme" or "Main Title" etc... But more likely he just gives it numbers for the orchestra and when the music gets released I think the producers then give the scores names which describe the scenes in the movie when they appear. But I could be wrong. Maybe John Williams himself called one sheet for The Empire Strikes Back "The Asteroid Field" oder another "The City in the Clouds". But one could guess as I said that the minuet most likely would have been called "Ballroom Minuett" or "The Dance of the Vampires" then and by whomever. That's what fits most and makes sense. And if you wanted to know the definitive real title because you are looking for it online, you now know that you are not alone and countless others have done so before. But as it appears that nobody ever was lucky the only thing left would be to hold a seance and ask the spirit of Komeda himself, I suspect :) And even if you were the only person in the world to know the name, it wouldn't help you with searching it on the internet or that other people automatically know what you're talking about, right ? But if you just ask for "The minuet from the Polanski vampire movie" everybody will know. So why bother with knowing "the real name" ? Greetings to South America
Thak you very very much (aka MUITO OBRIGADO), I've been looking for this sheets for lots of years.
Great work, thanks for sharing 👍
Absolutely wonderful. Have about three diff releases of the soundtrack, all lacking so much of the music, including this piece ...
Very well done! This piece is one of my favorites from the movie, especially that secondary dominant v/vi gives me goose bumps :)
Komeda was a genius
Good morning, awesome work...thank you very much. I was wondering if you also made the transcription, when Herbert plays this hypnotic prelude at the harpsichord?
I did not, sorry. It's a good idea anyway, although it's a very short sequence in the movie, but as you say, it's kinda hypnotic. But I actually have not been playing the piano or keyboard since a few years now and also have none around at the time. So somebody else has to do the job.
