Clearly the Bose speaker. Don't know the prices of both, but wow what a clear sound and bass coming from such a little speaker like that the Bose is.

Bose flex has a much deeper bass and plays much louder than Beosound. I compared both speakers at home... for me, Bose flex is unrivaled here. 

I have both. Smart speaker is louder but Max has a better quality stereo sound.

To get the Max out of your MAX you need to operate it with an AUX cable and eventually an Apple USB-C (Lightning) dongle paired with Tidal's Hi-Res Music. You'll be amazed at the quality difference. Bluetooth connection has only a very limited bitrate of 256 kbps, while with a cable you get 24bit depth and 48khz High-Res music transferred to the box. I was actually blown away how good the speaker is when fed with real good signal. Try it out and compare.

Bose dominates!

BOSE is just like a Ferrari that plays on your emotions first. Just like expected the Max seems to cover more range than the punchy Mini. You might get the impression that the Mini is better on your notebook speakers but if you listen in headphones especially the last jazz piece you will notice that the max renders instruments like drums far better than the mini.

Thank you very much Patricio. The fact that my Tesla would refuse to auto connect to my iPhones hot spot drove me nuts. I had called Tesla support for this twice and they never gave me any useful tips on how to resolve this. Thanks to this vid, the issue is finally solved.

BOSE FLEX : I am a pianist and this instrument is one of the most difficult to sound restitution because of its large spectrum. Honestly, I have tried many many BT speakers including a B&0 p2 that was deceiving. I had to wait so many years to find a good compromise between clear mediums/ treble and bass power. I found JBL flips pleasant for the price but definitely a lack of bass. I had to wait so many years to find MY speaker, the one I will never leave. That’s the Bose FLEX !! At 50% volume you fill a 300 room with sound. At 70-75% you fit a 470 sqft room !! Bass are really present, ok it’s not an acoustimass subwoofer-, but still, you will be amazed by the rich powerful and equilibrated sound coming from this thing with powerful bass, good mediums and crystal clear trebles. If you don’t know which BT speaker buying, there is no hesitation : BUY THE FLEX !! Buy 2 ! So you can pair them and have a good portable sonorisation system you can bring to any indoor parties !! Yes, it won’t probably fit a wedding party but think about any others speakers you have heard, there are all jokes compared to the FLEX ! Trust me, GET A FLEX and if you don’t have the money, you can find an used one in perfect condition (usually Bose owners loves their speakers so they take good care of them) for less than $80 ! I bought mine used, perfect condition for 70€, probably $75 at the time of this post. Guys, buy one just to see the face of your friends when you will power it ! The sound, is better than any other portable BT speakers and even much bigger ones !! And forget Sonos, Cabasse, B&O, B&W, Harman, Marshall or JBL, the Bose Flex is definitely the best one.

The Flex has a much better sound than the Max ! The bass are not really different but the Flex sounds much brighter, clearer and cleaner ! The Max sounds wawww waw waww that’s terrible.

portable smart has more punchy bass and not muddy sounding like the max.

Excelente video, las 2 son muy buenas , ahora sí que en gustos, para no mover nada de ecualizador y que reproduzca musica rápido y bien,,,, Bosé es la mejor, en cuanto a sonido y para paseos, por función extra de airplay y wi fi Sonos es la ganadora.

Bose mini soundlink 2 is the BOSS

Amazing. Even 10+ years later, the Mini is still the best bluetooth speaker. I wonder if it's because the Flex and Max are waterproof, that's why the Mini sounds more clear. Really wish BOSE would release a larger version of the Mini. Max is nice for out and about, but a more premium sound for the home (without the need for water proofing) would be nice.

if bose portable smart is same sound and bass as the home speaker 500, then nothing cam beat the sound even their new released.

i got that bose home speaker when it first came out in 2019 and sold it last year, it is still far the best among all my bluetooth speakers for sound listening and movie connected to laptop. unless you want the hifi speaker.

When you buy a bluetooth speaker the sound quality must be a matter (clear sound) not the amount of the bass only

The mini is still the legend. I just bought a good used one on Amazon. Still an amazing speaker.

Is the bass on the max significantly better or just a bit better?

Echo Studio nice bass but muddy mid tones. Sonos crystal clear mid upper tones and acceptable bass.

I have bought of the speakers and I can tell you the max is a better buy because it’s a stereo whereas the other one is mono and when you listen to the speaker over 75% it will lower the bass and sound quality as well.

Put a sound meter on these you have the volume on the echo is 5 to 10 decibels lower. You will see the Bose 300 in hit the 70s and the echo not touch 70. You are a charlatan that obviously wasted money on a Bose. The sound coming throw any speaker that is playing the sounds you recorded is normalised so do not come out with bull. What a fraud.

Более «глухо», «строго» и «деревянно», но очень чисто (лично для моих ушей) звучит саунд у Bang&Olufsen, но это не означает «плохо», просто, я полагаю, для разных целей и стилей музыки обе колонки хороши. Хотелось бы еще сравнение с колонкой Bose soundlink flex. Я колебалась в выборе между Bose soundlink flex и Bang&Olufsen A1. Band &Olufsen explore мне кажется хуже звуком. В Вашем обзоре Loewe we.hear 2 выиграла по звучанию, по моему мнению, а стоимость we. hear 2 на данный момент в 1,5 раза дешевле. Какую идеальную колонку Вы посоветуете?
