Old school, the neighbour across the street had a C64. I had a Tandy 1000. 4 colours man!!!! Sid Meier's Pirates is still a top 5 game for me!

70k? That is a really bad score. Even back in the day I had over 300k on it and that is not even 1 loop completed.... Also, when they make things like this, why change the whole screen where you input your initials and the high score table? It does not look like that in the real game :/ Btw, the first dragon is on stage 3 (Which is shown in the clip)

I’m actually impressed the staff on this show managed to get to the dragon which I think is level 4. That’s a serious feat. Also, who noticed that they changed the high score feature to include whole names? The Ghost N’ Goblins arcade game allowed only three initials.

Awesome Ian, great longplay. I liked the lie down before you kill tactic, so much easier with the jumping kung fu men. Shame they didn't have enough memory to include the last boss.

Poke 5 3 2 8 1, 0 Loved the game. Was able to run the ball back for a touchdown more than once. Overtime was hyped. Friends loved it. The company didn't make any money off of us.

This brings back memories. Me and my buddy played this all the time. We found a cheat that worked for a sack that was on any play not in shotgun formation (and it worked a lot for that too) - you just picked the nose tackle, and mashed the dive button repeatedly as the ball was being hiked. We both knew the cheat - but promised we wouldn't use it. Last game of a 7 game tournament, I was up by 4 points and time was running out, all I had to do was hike the ball and run out the clock. He used the cheat, I fumbled, he ran it back for a TD. We had both quit smoking cigarettes a few days before. We got in a fist fight and didn't talk to each other for weeks. We still hang out to this day and he just so happens to be the drummer in my band - but never since has a game elicited that much emotion in either of us. I still hate him for it to this day. I only hang out with him still and let him stay in the band so I can exact my revenge on him when I figure out something as devastating as that "loss".
