AUTOSTOP Eliminator install on 2024 F150 Raptor
AUTOSTOP Eliminator is a good product that I found and used on my 2018 Ford Raptor. I liked it so well that I couldn’t wait to get one for my new 2024 Raptor. This is a great product and I wanted to share it with my viewers.

On your video installing the camera wiring where did you pass your wires through the firewall
This is the cover I’m looking to get for my 2024 F-250 how’s it working out for you
@@mavric65 it worked great. I have already sold my f250 now and the cover is for sale. And the rubber Matt. If you were close enough, you could buy it. $500 for both.
@@mavric65 it’s on market place on Facebook. Look near Farmerville LA
@@jaycanfixit yeah I’m not close enough I’m all the way over on the west coast 😂😂
@ it’s all good. I’m sure it will sell sometime. If not, oh well. I will keep it in case I get another f250 later on.

Me too!!
I’m sure you will be one of the first to know. 😘
I wonder what's in it??
Holy cow…. There has to be a better way to design a fuel filter. Seems like they could make a filter with its own housing similar to the one in the engine compartment.
@@Bret-n7q they should. This is kinda ridiculous
Just bought a new F-250 6.7. Planning to change oil at 1000-1500 miles first time. Was wondering if there might be anything different about the 6.7. One nice trick on oil filters that are vertical, use a punch or a screw driver to knock a hole in the bottom of the filter. It will drain completely out and not make a mess running ing down the sides. Thank you sir for the video.
@@Bret-n7q thank you sir. I will use that method next time and see if if much cleaner.
Informative video thanks

Good job, Jay! I just bought my 2024 F-250 Super Duty Power Stroke 2 months ago. I plan on doing my own oil/filter changes and fuel filter changes every 5,000 miles. I am also using Archoil as a fuel additive, to enhance fuel pump lubrication, to keep injectors clean and boosting octane, which may provide a tad more fuel economy. I think I will stick with Ford Motor Craft oil. What is your opinion of using the Motor Craft 10w30 "Synthetic Blend" oil? Thank you for helping us.
I think it’s fine to use that oil. Just follow the factory specs. Thank you for the comment.
Great video. I pick up my new 2024 F350 Friday and plan on doing my own oil changes. This is my first diesel truck and was curious how many miles should I change it out. I’ve read 5k to 7500 up to 10k. Also should I change out the fuel filters every oil change or every other oil change. Appreciate it.
@@diablz21 I try and change fuel filters every other oil change. You can always drain some fuel into a mason jar and check it. If it looks bad or has water in you should change them. Oil I change every 7000 miles. The light won’t come on till about 10,000. Thank you for watching.
I just bought my first diesel, it's a 2024 F250. 2 months ago My question is, how often should I change the oil and fuel filters? I'd really appreciate anyone's recommendations. On the other hand, I'm not sure what to do. This is the first time it's happened to me with the exhaust filter. It's reached 85%. The first time it reached that number, it automatically returned it to 0%. Now I don't know if I should wait or do something. Thanks so much for the recommendations.
@@eldelaparrilla4293 I change mine about every 7,000 miles. Fuel filters every other time but I take a fuel sample with a mason jar to test it on every oil change. Thank you for watching.

New subscriber - Thanks for the informative video. I want to install (3) Raptor style Grill Lights that will come on automatically whenever the truck is on. Can I hook the hot wire from the Grill Lights to the brown wire with the white stripe which you said is the ignition on hot wire? Also, can you wire an upfitter switch to be on whenever the ignition is on - that way I could just run it to an upfitter switch and leave that switch on all the time (except when I wanted to switch it off)? Any other way you know of on how to have the grill lights on whenever the truck is running - maybe hook them up to the Daytime Running Lights, but how would you do that? Thanks!
Best way is to find a schematic but if not the I would locate the running lights wires and find the hot and tap into that. Make sure it’s not a blinker so your lights don’t blink when you turn. 🤪
Thnaks! My UpFitter wires in my 2024 F350 Diesel were in the same location. Ford should terminate in fuse box or at least give us 12" more wire to work with but we will make do. Question: did you drill a hole thru the Fire Wall? I want to install an additional 12v accessory plug(old cig lighter) inside or under the glovebox.
@@ournewseason I found a grommet and went through that with a coat hanger.
You did an amazing job with this video man, will help out a lot of people. Whenever you twisted the yellow cap on the fuel filter to drain the fuel, how long it take to drain?

Why didn't you fill the oil filter with oil?
@@gregsmith455 it sat for 2 hours with oil it it before I cranked it. You can put oil in them but it’s not a must.
You over torqued them that is why didn't last.
@@Robert-yb8is you are most likely correct.

That's awesome 💯 keep living it
@@StephenHigginbotham-h4e I thought so also. Thank you for the comment.
Ford can NOT deny a warranty claim due to what brand oil you use. As long as it meets the Ford spec, that's what really matters. As for fuel filters, I only use the Ford ones as well, but i dont worry about the cp4 as i no longer have that in my truck due to installing the S&S DCR pump. Nice truck 👍
@@anthonyc993 thank you. I use the ford oil because it’s hard to find 10w30 diesel oil where I live. This is the only brand I could find without ordering it. Thank you for the comment. Merry Christmas.
@jaycanfixit Merry Christmas to you as well! Nothing wrong with motorcraft oil. I used it for a bit before going to amsoil.
@ it was hard to find. No autoparts store has it in my town but Orielly.
@anthonyc993 how hard was it doing the swap to DCR?
@KN_SBR89 If you have the tools and can wrench on vehicles, it is easy. It is just time-consuming. Took me 7 hours taking my time. S&S provides very nice instructions with all the torque specs and tool list. The biggest thing is to follow the instructions as they say.
Very important to test before install. I takes a while to take the intake off and to install these. Also the torque is 15 ft lbs. no more. Do not over torque or you will have to drill and easy out
how many miles where on you oil before you replaced it
@@RobertGoosman 7000 miles is how many miles I went between oil changes. The truck had 10000 miles. The first oil change was done at 3000 miles. I changed the fuel filters at 10k miles. I will change them about every 14k miles or so depending how my fuel samples go.

@@BrandonSlate I did not. As long as the switch is off, there is no power coming from the switch.
Thanks for the video Two questions. 1. Can you show how you ran the wire through the firewall? 2. Why did not use the pass-through wires instead of running the wire through the firewall? I believe those are located near the interior fuse panel, passenger side.
@@LoCleTXRV it’s been while since I made this video. I think the pass through wires are tiny and I didn’t want to use them for that reason. I just made a pin hole in a grommet on the passenger side. Then I used a hanger to pull the wire through like a needle and thread. 🪡

Thank goodness I didn’t get hurt. Lol
That was WAY HARDER than it needed to be! I use a 4 x 4 post, 12 ft. long, with boards attached to each side to keep the cable from slipping off. Stand the post against the bottom rim boards of your stand, being sure to STAKE THE BOTTOM legs to prevent the stand from sliding toward you. Put a sling around the blind. Run the cable over the top of the post, and attach to the sling. Using a winch, or backing up, pull the blind upright. As you pull the post will come toward you and eventually fall, but the blind should be high enough to not fall backwards. Again, you MUST STAKE THE BOTTOM LEGS!!! Easy peasy.
@@lonniechartrand we used straps on the bottom of the stand to keep them from sliding. We try not to do this to much. Thank you for your advice.
