I just finished recording footage for the allied run and it was already harder then the Soviets so I can only imagine how brutal the empire might get haha.

@@xxx_katiekat_xxx Well if I remember correctly, the Empire has a lot more options, EXCEPT for anti air until you get rocket angels

@@xxx_katiekat_xxx Oh also are you considering doing uprising as well? Each faction gets infantry units that are quite a bit more options, also the difficulty being quite a bit more and no NPC allies so even more challenge in some ways

@@KyleRandomnes currently yeah I'm planning on doing uprising eventually which will be interesting since i haven't played thru very much of that game before. I also plan on maybe doing dawn of war Dark Crusade since that's the other RTS I played alot as a kid

Honestly feels like that's how I play the neceons by default 🤣🤣 I'd be curious also with other dawn of war games since I remember winters assault doing some downright devious missions at times that I don't think I could have won without full army comps.

@@cillianennis9921 I only played the Xbox version like a year or two ago. It works but yeah RTS games especially of that era are really only ment for PC

@@xxx_katiekat_xxx Yeah I tried looking for the game earlier but I guess over the years its gotten lost to a box somewhere that DVDs go to die. I'll at some point play the game but I am currently focusing on Red Alert 1 before I try the more modern one.

@@jkbscopes1233 nah I've only ever played this game extremely casually and don't really play around with infantry so a lot of their capability's are a mystery to me

@@MasterKolis oh I never even really thought of using the MCV to crush enemy's. I do feel like using it in direct combat like that tho might kinda go against the spirit of the run but definelty a good idea

hmm id say the soviets and the allies are basically on par tho I prefer the soviets as their commando is better in my opinion and I've never gotten much use out of allied spy's. the empires is a bit for of a mix bag imo, their anti armour infantry is way worse then the soviets and allies since they cant attack aircraft but they also have my favourite unit in the whole game the rocket angels. that's a very long way of saying they're all pretty much on par if you ask me haha.

​@@xxx_katiekat_xxx they're all pretty balanced as you said. But I like to think that the soviet's heavy infantry kind of tips the scale in their favor. The DLC pretty much made the empire more viable. But it's hard to tell when we need to isolate the infantry from the vehicles, because what makes the empire infantry really strong is their stealth transport. Also what makes the spy really strong, you can buy everything for $1000

@@plankkton oh I hadn't even thought about the DLC units. I haven't really played much of uprising tbh so I don't really know how the new infantry they added play. I'll probs do runs of those campaigns eventually tho so guess I'll get to see them.

yeah unfortunately my laptops is ancient and bug infested so it struggles to play a lot of games on peak settings even ones from 2008

true but as far as I know there aren't any unboxed Aku Akus in this game and we cant use the pity ones we get for dying for box avoidance. if there is a unboxed Aku Aku that I missed tho we could bring that into the level to skip this one

True but I think without the orbs we get from those levels we wouldn't have enough to get thru the door to ripto's battle . Tho we might be able to skip the orb in cloud temples and so the second cowlick coral orb which might save us 2 or 3 rule violations. Ill try it out and if the math works in our favour I'll do a revision when I do Spyro 3

@@xxx_katiekat_xxx I know that but i'm just saying you probably could have used that fact to avoid having to do things like use that Wirlwind in Mystic Marsh

Thanks for the advice :) I still feel like the split second Spyro starts to glide makes it against the rules but I might try it again and revaluate for Spyro 3

@@xxx_katiekat_xxx Well that split second glide isn't gonna help with progression at all, a split second glide on its own isn't gonna get you anywhere

I'm basically trying to beat the game as if Spyro wasn't a dragon by limiting the moveset ☺️

i haven't heard of that one but I'll defs look into it 😊
