Time lapse video building my DIY 360° camera rig inspired by Peter Sripol´s GoPro 360 camera platform rig. My first video ever, so hopefully my editing becomes better in future :)
WOW, what an art... hope the files can be shared =(
Машинка мечты 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I'm not only impressed with your boat design skills, but I noticed your furniture that you must have designed and built also! You are a very creative and talented individual.
Part 3??
Do you understand how sails work? Why is the jib completely flat, with no curvature? How will it work? How do you transport the boat, as you can't lay it on its side? The keel is extremely thick, and its drag must be enormous. I don't expect the boat to stay upright, with little keel bulb weight and a heavy sail rig. It was interesting to watch the build.
Wow, that’s lots of work with great results
Mainsails have not been modified yet..
When is the third episode coming out?
When do we get the test coming, can't wait
Hi, end of the year i am moving again and then have finally space for an new workshop, hopefully then i can start making content again. Br Philipp
What's the music?
where is the files?
waiting on the files
speak words please
My son has found your boat and wants to print it, any chance of getting the .stl files email out.
Looks good for display, but for real sailing? I would say no because it looks very top heavy and you still havn’t released a clip of this.
yes you are right, i was too focused on looks. and not enough on function. It is over all much to heavy and also very very top heavy. a new sail would be a good starting point to get it better working I am currently building an rc utility boat, kind of.. If i am filming it first tests, perhaps i will take the sailing boat with me and give it try again. BR
The suspense is killing us. I understand you had to make moderate adjustments which is completely normal for a prototype. How about letting us see it anyway? The hull design reminds me of an Ocean 65 crossed with an Imoca class. My favourite two boats. Imagine if we could swing the keel with RC Sailboats, This would be a game changer! Thank you and take care, From Australia.
WOW
You have great skill with CAD! I bet many designers would love to have those skills. What made you decide to try designing a boat?
Thankz! Why not, boats are cool. Just making some RC projekts and trying to share them. Currently making a big 3D printed Utility FPV Boat :) Hopefully first video will be ready soon. BR Philipp
How was the sailing performance? Where is part 3?
Sailing Performance was not that great🙈🤣. Part3 is still missing...shame on me.
Is this on thingiverse?
Sadly not, sorry.
Good job! Did you have a chance to sort your stl files in order to share?
This is amazing work, good job.
Well an interesting build. Some great 3d printing skills. Also nice to see the whole thing come together with some lovely details and paint job! I would love to see what she is like on the water..... Hopefully you will get a chance to give it a test? The sails look great but are unconventional in their design for the type of boat. It would be relatively easy to make some more conventional sails from maylar or some other thin material. The sails with the skeleton look too heavy and inflexible to work as they stand. Boats using a 3d aerofoil sail usually rotate the mast and have the rear 1/3 of the sail actuated separately to create the correct shape for the wind at each point of sailing! I think 3d printing is great for model hulls for sure
This is the most impressive and beautiful thing I've ever seen. Does it sail well?
Woow tolles Design und mega Umsetzung... Gibt's mal ein Video, wie man so ein Boot in Fusion 360 zeichnet bzw. Hast du einen Linktip? Über die STL würden sich viele freuen
I hope I'm not out of line making a few suggestions I have a ton of experience making sailboats I grew up sailing and racing and I know a lot about sales I have my captain's papers and even a Canadian sailing championship under my belt in the dark class category 1989 on Lake Simcoe so I do know my business and I'll tell you a lot but it'll be a long comment sorry for that but it'll help you firstly your sale cannot be a flat sheet or too tight it does not need an internal structure it needs in some cases an external structure just to help the sale hold its shape but the sale is it better off to be made of a tent fly by hand and have you sew it yourself then to try and 3D print a frame that'll just make it heavier you don't want to fail to be heavy ever it needs to be as light as possible or the boat will heal over too much in your case I don't see that as being a big problem since these sales will not make any real power they will be very inefficient they're made more like an aircraft wing which isn't what a sale should be it's more like a parachute where it needs to have some room for it to move for it to really be effective if you took a flat sheet and tried to use it as a parachute you would die by the same token making sales is difficult and I don't want to make this comment too long but I have done a detailed series on this on my TH-cam channel Keith d Robinson my custom RC sailboat you can also look up RC DIY sailboat making your sales is described in this video series in great detail showing how to hang them how to sew them you're better off 3D printing your mask and doing like I've done putting a mask inside the sale and then just sew it inside the leading an edge and the blue bench to have it hold its shape this video walks you through the whole thing including how to trim it and plead it to get the right shape it covers the correct shape shows actual testing in different stages with different cell configurations please check out these videos I hope they help that's what they're there for.
thankz for your feedback/help. i should have sew a sail, especially as i have pretty good skills in sewing and industrial machines. the "wing" instead, only caused problems. but it was fun and challenging to build it.
Hi awesome video !!! Why aren't youu putting a motor on the back of the hull in case of a problem ?
yeah, good idea. But too late...in case of problems i just take a swim and rescue it.
Toyota Hiace Thailand version
Yeah, could be a nice rc build. There are already some pretty sweet hiace rc drift builds out there.
I would love a third video showing it actually sailing :-). Wonderful boat, thx
Fantastic looking T3! Is the file available somewhere?
thankz. Same issue as with the boat. Originally i wanted to upload the files, but the cad file is still full of "errors" and all the stl files are randomly named in german. When i have the time, i will clean up the mess and make a short instruction and then upload the files.
How do you make the cad at the start? From actually plans of the VW bus? A lovely looking creation of an iconic vehicle. Would love the STL files for printing a scaled down body for a wpl d12
it's upsetting that there isn't more views and subscriptions. the amount of meticulous care this dude puts into the build is phenomenal.
P𝐫O𝕞O𝓢m 😅
It sure does look like something that could have been in the game. Nice build
I couldn't be more impressed. You are a truly talented designer.
круто
freu mich aufs ergebnis
Quick question how much was that machine that carved the metal
At minimum it was probably like $1200. And that's a very low guess.
The biggest issue I see with the boats performance is the lack of shape in both the sails. Although they're both "wing" shaped, there's no curve to them, making them just large wind deflection elements rather than effective sail elements that generate pressure differential. Compound this with the weight of the sails and I imagine it probably doesn't move outstandingly quick. Love what you've done, super unique but you might have to look into a more traditional RC sail design to get the required power/weight ratio in your rig.
thankz! year, you are totally right. first tests shows that the sails are way to heavy, and the yacht is more sailing as an old wooden fishing boat🤣🤣
You dont need curve in a wing sail, you can make lift with angle of attack. I also made a 3D printed wingsail. its much faster than traditional. this wingsail needs to be lighter and have more positive shape like a symmetric airfoil. my sails rotated with a motor that may also effect it.
Great job but I agree that symmetrical wingsail is non efficient. If you look at sail-gp’s boat they have a vertical hinge for flaps and a rotating mast. With the mast, you actuate the angle of attack and with the flaps, the curvature of the wing. More curvature gives more power. The Aoa depends on the apparent wind angle. You could try LW-PLA for weight gain.
Duuude! Love your sheise! :D Cant wait for the next one...
Really hit
Awesome video✌️ And incredible cool car💪
I would love to print and build one , the only thing that puts me a little bit off are the parts that require a lathe, unfortunatley I dont have that☹️.maybe future improvment will be added. What bed size is required to print it? And did you used PLA ? Keep it up, your boat is absolutley stunning!
thankz. Sorry fot the late answer. It's all pla and printed on an ender3 v2. Bedsize:22cmx22cm
Hammer das boot, top😍💯🤗😎✌🏼
Danke dir! ✌

When is part 3 coming out
Weather is still pretty bad. But first tests are done, i added a bunch of mods. So just waiting for a good day to test again....
@@psrc5711 did the weather ever improve?
@@worldofradiocontrol10 yes, weather in germany is nice, summer is coming. But i am currently moving, so all my RC stuff is in cartons. Hopefully i can make part3 of the boat and part2 of the drift bus asap.
Any thoughts of making the ribs of the mainsail flex like the full-sized racing wingsails do?
yes, i have. But it was hard enough without flexible rips, so i am glad i didn't do it and preventing more trouble. But overall the boat, and mainly the sails are too heavy. And the performance seems pretty poor. So perhabs i will revisit that project and make a new version, than trying to achieve a flex sail with flex ribs and a lightweight ripstop fabric. BR
I see a man wearing a stoner shirt building custom rc and using a hatchet to take prints off printer... Subscribed....
Absolutely love the design. If you can get it sailing well, you should definitely sell the design. I would build one for sure.
You're sailboat is not far off I think it's going to work out it might need a little more work but I think you're close
First test was not very promising😂, but I'm going to make as many modifications as it takes to get it sailing.⛵
Sounds great good luck
