Sh Nazeem Mohamed, then-MJC president, at the Nelson Mandela's Presidential inauguration on 10 May 1994. Islam is reported to have been in South Africa since the 1600's. Many Muslims participated in the struggle for a free South Africa.
Its really a weak testimony by the late Shaykh Gamiet Gabier! One realizes that how not informed they were even though they supposedly led from the front or should one say they were in the front but were led by the desire for change visibly present in the aspirations of the people of the time!
Aslm ,may Allah grant brother Tahir a high place in Jannah , was a great servant to the Ummah, we as youngsters went with them in the Jamaa, May Allah except Ameen
