I’ve learned this song in choir and even though we’ve already performed it I still listen to it and practice bc we are repreforming it the choir loved it so much. And by that I mean my best friend loved it so much, convinced the choir teacher to do it again.

Far too slow! The "ping-a-ping-pang-pongs" in the tenor are supposed to be a banjo. th-cam.com/video/bMWdkz4lWo8/w-d-xo.html isn't a particularly good performance but it gives you the correct speed.

I was brought up on this as performed back in the 1960s by the Royal Choral Society , conducted by Sir Malcolm Sargent. We used to see it performed in the Royal Albert Hall in London...it was part of Christmas. This is, by far, the best version I have seen perfomed since. *Feeling Christmassy*

nice - but way too fast... this is ment to be a lament - a prayer and doing it at this speed completely changes the piece from a very beautiful piece to something quite different... almost double the speed that it should be...!
