All very skilled, but there’s something tremendously hollow about this music.

I had a strange compliment in my head, when listening this music… Like, I would love to be a dragon with many heads, so I could take all the hats off in front of Mr. Ammann. Incredible piece of music from any aspect. It just takes the maximum of human capabalities to perform it and I wonder, how much easier it will get in 100 Years to perform this virtuoso piece. As a composer myself I am simply astonished by such a pleasing modern music. Orchestral colours are beautiful, textures, despite their incredible complexity, make such a groovy feeling, and kind of spectral harmony gives a feeling of being attached directly to an infinite stream of information. Music just flows, like a river! Thank You Dieter for such a gigantic composition and of course my biggest appreaciation to soloist Andreas Haffliger, who made these black circles called notes alive. I guess all academic music culture can be proud about this achievement! Inspiring indeed.

this was funny but damn some contemprary compsers hate the general audience and just compose for their collegues. isn't that a bit mean? (well, dosent really apply to this piece but you get what im getting at)

As far as the sounds allow an assessment, this is a successful orchestration!

I find the new ending interesting, which seems like a dark/humour take on Brahms Nr.4 (beginning of the 4th mvt) under the surface.
