You Will be Found ASL Version
This is an ASL version of Dear Evan Hansen's 'You Will Be Found' that was created by a group of Deaf talent and interpreters. I've always wanted to do an ASL version of this song as it's a very powerful song and wanted this to also be accessible to the Deaf/Hard of Hearing community. Hope you're as moved as I was after seeing this video several times!!
My thanks goes to the following people for doing this with me:
Alexandria Wailes
Carmen King
Keri Brooks
Amy Richardson
John McGinty
Jennifer Perlis
Jay Penuel
Michael Creason
Christina Whitehouse-Suggs
Diana Steinhauser

Have you ever felt like nobody was there?
Have you ever felt forgotten in the middle of nowhere?
Have you ever felt like you could disappear?
Like you could fall, and no one would hear?
Well, let that lonely feeling wash away.
Maybe there’s a reason to believe you’ll be okay
.
'Cause when you don’t feel strong enough to stand
.
You can reach, reach out your hand
And oh, someone will come running
.
And I know, they’ll take you home
.
Even when the dark comes crashing through,
When you need a friend to carry you
.
And when you’re broken on the ground,
You will be found.
So let the sun come streaming in
.
'Cause you’ll reach up and you’ll rise again
.
Lift your head and look around,
You will be found
.
You will be found
.
You will be found.
You will be found
.
You will be found
.

People started sharing it, I guess, and now, I mean-Connor is everywhere.

That speech is everywhere. This morning The Connor Project page, it only had 56 people following it.

Well, how many does it have now?

Four
thousand five-hundred eighty-two.

Sixteen thousand
two-hundred and thirty-nine

I don't understand, what happened?
[spoken]
You did!
There’s a place where we don’t have to feel unknown
,
And every time that you call out
,
You’re a little less alone.
If you only say the word
,
From across the silence
Your voice is heard

I never met you Connor, but coming on here, reading everyone's posts,
it's so easy to feel alone

. None of us are alone

Especially now

Thank you Evan Hansen for giving us a space to remember Connor

WOW That was thee single best thing I've ever seen since trying to learn sign. Thank you
Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for this.
Beautiful!!! Do you happen to have the translation of the ASL? What exactly they are signing?
The video is captioned, so you can see that translation as they’re signing.
@@aaronkubey8111 i mean the ASL- the captions are the English. I was wondering if you have the direct translation of just the signs :)
@meghan Tully, no because every person in the video had their own translation of the lyrics - which was intentional.
truly a work of art! amazing!
This makes my heart so incredibly full with love right now. In a pretty dark place recently, actually in an intensive outpatient program. I was raised in a hard of hearing home and have lost touch with that side of myself. I really REALLY enjoy seeing everyone’s.... interpretations(?) of how to say the different parts. The person in the maroon polo has really captured my soul though. If anyone knows them, please let them know. Thank you so much. I needed this on this dreary Thursday morning. So much love to every one of these people and anyone reading this comment.
This is stunning. I love ASL music videos where the emotional impact of the song is reinterpreted, and not transliterated word by word. There were so many moments where I just had to think "wow", because a profoundly beautiful way was used to express the intent of the lyric, not the word.
This is amazing I’m learning ASL and this is just memorizing!!
That is amazing!!! So glad I found it. Very moving.
Why does this have more than 5,000 views yet only 500 likes? People need to appreciate how much hard work went into this. Very amazing. Nice job! Things like this are what inspires me to learn ASL and connect with the Deaf community
This is so beautiful 💙😭
amazing! well done everyone! just beautiful.
Simply beautiful!!!!
Lovely work, Aaron and Team! Thanks also to nickiv_123 for suggesting that performers' names appear in the description. However, if it's possible, please, Aaron, I'd ask if each performer can have their name appear with them in an open caption, at least for part of their first appearance here so that we can match these names with these faces...especially that tall guy with dark-rimmed glasses...what IS he doing with this talented bunch, anyway? ;-)
Aaron! This makes my heart full! Thank you for putting this out in the world!
This is absolutely beautiful! Brought tears to my eyes. So excited to share! I do recognize some of the wonderful faces in this video, but not all of them. Would you consider adding their names in the description?
nickiv_123 thank you! I’ve added their names :-)
@@aaronkubey8111 Wonderful! Thank you! I've subscribed!
Beautiful!!
What a wonderful performance. Thanks.
