Architecture Portfolio and Indesign Workflow for Beginners
thank you so much!
I love your videos keep it up
You are fantastic! This is so easy to follow :) Thank you for your time
Hi, thank you so much for the InDesign tutorial video for portfolio. I have some question about exporting out 2D drawing. When I work place illustrator file or a PDF file exported from illustrator into InDesign, the lineweight from PDF export of InDesign is very large unless they are very zoomed in. Is this normal and is there any work around? Another question is when I place a JPEG or PNG that is exported from illustrator into InDesign, the images will have jagging lines and kinda blurry when export into PDF/JPEG/PNG even if I set the export option to High Quality possible. Is there any workaround? Thank you so much in advance and thank you for your tutorial videos
Thanks, Gordon, for the PDF to InDesign workflow question. I recommend first checking the PDF export lineweight settings (especially if it's from a 3D model). If adjustments are tricky, try refining the lineweights in Illustrator, then export as high-res JPGs (300 ppi or more) for the best line quality. I find Illustrator often doesn’t retain lineweights well when embedded in InDesign. For optimal results, export line drawings as high-res, RGB, high-quality JPGs with standard compression and "Art Optimized." Verify the JPG quality before placing them in InDesign-this ensures a good final PDF export. Sorry for the late reply. Thanks again for commenting and good questions!
THANKS
Ok teacher I will study with you please help me score good marks in exams .💯💯
I like your channel ❤ keep up the Good work. You inspire me as a fellow architect
Thank you so much!
Would you condense someone’s portfolio into one portfolio with 12pages for money ? X
hi, would you be interested in work on a project for me? I am recent architecture diploma graduate. I need a well designed portfolio for my job applications. My expectations are high for the design, but, I don’t have that kind of skills in creating presentation type portfolio
So learn it then.
THANK YOU SO MUCH....SUCH A KIND PERSON SHARING KNOWLEGE....GOD BLESS YOU

Great progress, NeXt video should be where and how did you started your journey?
That's insane progress for 1 month
There are 1-2 objects that could never be done in just a month learning, so I guess its a bit cap
CAN U PLEASE tell ur 1 month journey with what tutorials u followed
hay there
Cool🔥
Let's goooo
My problem is the file size, my portfolio is 70MB and has 100 pages... I compress it in Indesign and with additional online compression I can only get it down to 24-30MB... I can't reduce my portfolio down to 5MB to send it via email because most companies give you a file size limit of 5MB :( what can I do ? Do you or someone else here have a useful advice ?
Have you tried using online pdf compressing tool? ilovepdf.com is a pretty handy website to go :)
Thank you very much!! I learned a lot esepcially the master pages which is very helpful!
The audio killed me in your video! Both your accent (grig lines! Grig lines. Guy lines... ahhh! It's GriD - D at the end, and GuiDe - don't forget to pronounce the the D) and the sound of your keyboard finished me off. Thought I was at the post office.
Is an amazing tutorial, simple and to the point. Be grateful! Also, the accent is only bothering you.
Thank you for liking my video 🫶
❤❤❤

This hurts me on a molecular level
Perfect......Brilliant, Excellent video!. This was (is) Mega helpfull, Thank You so much!
Thank you so much for the video! It's incredibly helpful. Question: do you know of good tutorials for layout and/or storytelling in portfolios? (Or could you make one?? :) )
thanks for your like. I shall consider making one :)
I keep getting lost on how to set up the master pages with the grid lines because she skipped it….any help anyone?
If you go to view-show rulers to turn on the rulers (or 'ctrl + R' as the shortcuts), then simply drag a line from the rulers, using the left mouse button to drag, it would show a cyan grid line :)
This is the best free software Ive seen. Respect.
Works well!! DANKEEE
god bless u xdd
