ISNT IT RICH..MERRY GO ROUND...SEND IN THE CLOWNS
Melania did it better
I agree. Except for that ginger bread Whitehouse😋. But that credit is really goes to the Pastry Masters.
@AmericanTravelFun that was the best part. I have heard that the gingerbread White House is created every year. So Dr Jill/Alice Copper. Had nothing to do with it. Great video BTW 😁
Terrible taste lololololo cringe
I'd probably be kicked out of the White House for eating the Gingerbread. 😂
I warned you it looks delicious 😋
Bluey is a girl.
I actually found out while watching the parade yesterday morning. 😁
Im acually native American🇺🇸
Bet I ride my bike anyways lmfao
You forgot to mention Goetta (GET-ta), which is typically found in or near Cincinnati. Like Scrapple but slightly different. Oh... fiddleheads are great. Glad to see them mentioned. However, I would recommend Romanesco broccoli. It looks like fractals.
it's Paul Prudhomme idiot. Anybody who is pretending to be a food expert and doesn't...words fail me!
I will try any food at least once.
please learn how to pronounce local words and names. you just sound ignorant.
Wow, is just about the only word I'd use when trying to describe this list. It's definitely beyond interesting. A Chef is desired to be the one who makes delicious tasting food. However it doesn't describe them.
Thanks 👍 Glad you enjoyed it!
Apizza is pronounced Ah Beetz not Ay Pizza
That makes a lot 😂 more sense than what I said, lol 😆. Thanks 🙏👍 for the comment.
That makes a lot more sense than what I said, 🤣 lol. Thanks 🙏👍
@@AmericanTravelFun The clams pizza is delicious- a white pizza with ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan, olive oil and garlic. Add bacon for clams casino pizza! I grew up in New Haven- Connecticut pizza ranks with NYC and NJ because of lots of Italians. Lived all over the country and pizza does not compare. Chicago pie is cake
Spaghetti or lasagne and peanut butter sandwich for dinner is wunderba!!
Odd 🤔 combo. But hey, what ever works for you 👍
Chili and cinnamon rolls..... not sure about that, but what you showed sure wasn't chili. Meat, sauce, and chilis (peppers) - that's it. Corn ???? NO !!!!
I agree about the corn 🌽. Unfortunately I couldn't find a good pic of good chilli 😕.
Fiddleheads are delicacy with butter and vinegar
I know here in my local market they have turducken already put together in the meat counter. But the cheapest one I found was 98 bucks.
That would seem to be the average price across the US.
About that garbage plate. The hotdogs used in it are the best in the nation and only available in the Rochester area. (Zweigle's hot dogs) first sold in the 1880s, and currently hard to find in local stores due to massive food service demand they are worth the hunt to find them. Now if you don't want the garbage plate (I myself am NOT a fan) you should treat yourself and get some of those hotdogs!
Oh so beautiful, beautiful footwork thank you for sharing it❤
Thank you too
I've had nearly all of those and they are very good....especially chitlins. We clean them, boil them then batter and fry. Place them between 2 slices of white bread with a little ketchup and Yum Yum! Love them! the only thing you list that I haven't and will not try is this road kill stuff. That's gross! I'd eat those animals but only if I knew how long they had been dead and not off the side of the road!
red-eye gravy is good poured over a ham steak, although at least to my taste you need to treat it like any other drippings-based gravy -- add about the same weight of flour as you have fat (as long as the ratio is close, you're good), push it around with a spatula to mix the flour in and get it cooked enough to lose the raw-flour smell and taste, then pour in the coffee, mix it all together, bring up to a boil, then simmer until it gets to the consistency you like; you can always add more coffee if it gets too thick. Burgoo is also known regionally as Brunswick stew. Another regional "everything but the squeal' food is scrapple, also called 'pannhaas' in Pennsylvania Dutch communities, which is hog offal -- organ meats, bones, and other scraps boiled to make a broth, then the bones and fat are removed. The meat is removed and minced, while cornmeal or flour is cooked in the broth to make a mush, then the meat is returned to the pot along with seasonongs, and the mixture is pressed into pans to make loaves and cooled until set. It is typically sliced and pan-fried, often being served as part of breakfast.
Tongue, if done correctly, tastes like some tasty roast beef, sort of. When I tried it, I found it to be a bit spongy ... Could that be because I was munching and crunching through some delicious bovine taste buds? Frog legs were served semi-raw. I can't be even near cooking frog legs, now. I went with my brother in-law to an annual turkey testicle thing in a semi-nearby city, one year. Never again! Once while I was overseas, I went to the chow hall for lunch on a Thursday, the weekly day when soul food was featured. I tried a golden, deep-fried pile of chitlins! How could something so wonderful-looking taste so terrible? I went to the speed line and got like 5 cheeseburgers, took the buns off three of them and roughly swabbed my tongue with those cheeseburgers to quell the taste of those hog's guts, before I ate the other two cheeseburgers. Aren't chitlins supposed to be boiled? Or at least washed, insides and out. I lived in a city in Baja, California for a couple of years, with my front lawn being the beach. During a certain part of the year, many students came down and in front of my front door, students would arrive, and they would burn car tires for warmth, all weekend long. I didn't say anything despite the acrid fumes because every Friday, the natives in the city would prepare huge pots of menudo, which smelled pretty much like the chitlins did taste. Sometimes, one has to choose their poison, right? I live in a little city that used to have a bar on Main Street, that, one day each year would serve every sort of roadkill that was available. Including armadillo! Lovely leprosy laden 'possum on the half-shell! I am hungry. OK, I was hungry. Thanks for this reminder of meals from the past! Yeah, no.
Tongue is one of the sweetest meats ever
Not a good video. I thought the host was traveling to the state and eating the food on camera. He just summarizes strange foods in certain states. What a boring video.
I NEVER said, "I was eating food on camera" 📸. Thanks for watching.
My husband and I are in our seventies and we enjoy an occasional coke with peanuts snack. It's actually pretty good, y'all should try it sometime.😊
A lot of people have said I need to try it. Maybe 🤔, I will. I'm leaning towards it
Thanks for watching and the comment
My grandparents used to eat fried chilling. The smell is off-putting, but they are tasty.
I'll take your word on how tasty. But honestly, if I could get over the smell, I probably would try it. And probably like it.
I would try some of these dishes but I would need to be very drunk
Me too! 😅
squirrel is simply tasty and tender.
Many years ago Bill Cosby talked about chitlins and how they were the pig's small intestine. He was not a fan. He swore up and down that someone had misnamed that word...lol I've smelled them before and I agree!
I remember that skit. Lol 😆😅
HEADCHEESE RULES!!
I love Chilton's I guess maybe I've never bothered smelling them .parents from south so bad alot of weird stuff .I won't touch pugs feet tho lol
One year my father hit a turkey with his van. We ate it for thanksgiving that year. Literally the best turkey dinner I've ever had. Edit: I live in upstate n.y., not far from Rochester, And I thought the garbage plate was a Midwest thing. Never had it, never would. Didn't even know it was from here.
6:31 So you're saying you don't wanna try a grasshopper whopper??🍔👑
could call it a Grasswhopper
Nope ! 😊
Up in western Canada we had a place called the Rattlesnake Grill. I found it quit good when I went in about 30 years ago.
You missed tripe. A delicious treat that is somewhat popular in my heavily Italian-American area.
You're right I did! List 2 on the way. In the near future. Thanks for the comment and view.
I would try all of it. Food is a great way to learn about a culture. Kudos from Portugal 🇵🇹
I completely agree 👍💯.
Pig's feet are repulsive. gluey, fatty, slimy, vinegary, just taster's hell. Tongue is quite good, as are brains.
You put the garbage plate in same video as whatever? What do you eat "toast, plain" ? Not even close to pickled pig's feet. It's legit just the name?
Some of these sound good. Boiled peanuts are good. So is gator.
Congee is rice porridge. At its most basic, it is literally rice cooked in water until it falls apart. No taste at all. Ya gotta add stuff to it. Pickled veg, sausage, fish, greens, soy sauce, all kinds of options are available. I don't see it often at restaurants, it tends to be more of an at-home dish, but it sometimes shows up on menus at dim sum restaurants.
Thank you 🙏😊. I really wanted to know. And I haven't ever seen it on a menu either. I will have to make it, now that I have a basic recipe. Now I have a place to start. Thank you and thanks 👍 for the comments!
No. None of this!
SOS is good
Frog legs are good.
I had chocolate covered crickets in Colorado they tasted like chocolate.
Agree 👍
if your not from usa watching …this is all wrong …this video was made just for views
The thumbnail shows animals in a pot that we don't even have.
Not only that, but it's illegal to eat road kill.
Of course this video was made for views. That's kind of the point of TH-cam.
It was an AI generated image. Their not exactly perfect yet.
It's only illegal in some states. That the beauty 😍 of America, not every state has the same laws. Roadkill is a state law, not federal.
If chitlins smell like stinky cheese, I'm in, but I don't know if they do.
I personally would say worst 😕 than the worst smelly cheeses. But just my opinion.
ATF, try the slow-cooked tongue. It's beefy and super tender. Great in tacos when it's braised, then chopped and sauteed till browned. My fave taco at our local Mexican joint.
Ok, now you have sparked my interest. I may need to try that. 🤔😋
Yep, tongue tacos are outstanding.
Beef tongue is just very tender beef, if it's cooked right
The real way to make sos is with a rue your with butter flour and milk, or half an half. Most of these foods I’ve eaten. Everything but the provell cheese. And it’s all good.
I've had baked, seasoned crickets before. They tasted like the seasoning, and the texture was like puffed rice. They're actually really good.
