Greentree Ranch
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 5 มิ.ย. 2009
Greentree Ranch Morgans has been breeding Morgan horses since 1963. We started in Loveland, Colorado but moved to Texas in 2005. We have been raising, training, showing and selling our Morgans for most of those years.
At our peak we had 109 horses. As of June of 2022 we have 37. Most are purebred Morgans but we have 3 Quarter horse mares, 5 Morgan/QH cross youngsters and 2 donkeys!
I, Cece Yelek, mostly train the youngsters for harness. Getting a good start on our kids is important to me and my passion. The older, broke horses are nice from time to time but I really love the babies. All of our foals are imprinted. It makes our lives so much easier in the long run!
Dave Yelek, my husband, does most of the saddle breaking as we want the same good start there as well.
He takes some of our horses to the feedlot to ride sorting cattle, checking pens and shipping. They are always equal to the task.

Spitfire Was Ready to Trot Some Today
It has been a month and two days since Spitfire was bitten by a rattlesnake. She is healing very well, but we had a horse bitten three years ago who relapsed after some time. I want her close by in case that happens. She doesn't really want to live in a stall but she has to anyway.
She trotted the better part of a half mile. She chose to walk all the way home.

Greentree Spontaneity and Potential Scary Stuff
มุมมอง 24228 วันที่ผ่านมา
It was a great start to our drive to see equipment and people in the field to the south. As we approached it, from a long distance, it was apparent that this wasn't going to work out. The equipment wasn't scary, but the dog on the back of the truck, barking furiously, was. The day was chilling down, the moon closing in on full in a few days and lastly, having watched her sister buck wildly arou...

Tiny and the Tractor
มุมมอง 384หลายเดือนก่อน
Today, Tiny got to see a great big tractor, a tank and a gator! Going north, they were interesting. Going south, the tractor was ok, but the equipment "hiding" behind it was too scary! Tomorrow, blinders! She had way too much fun finding things to be scared of! Please subscribe, like and share the video. #greentreeranch #drivinghorses #greentreetiny
Driving Lady's Man is Always Fun
มุมมอง 176หลายเดือนก่อน
I had planned to ride JJ this afternoon but she flipped her tail over her back and ran off! Instead LM walked over and stuck his head in the halter. I spent the next half hour picking burrs out of his forelock, mane, and tail so I could harness him. He was happy to be chosen! He has good, solid gains! We are supposed to have rain the next two days so I don't know how much I'll be driving. Pleas...
A Busy Mental Day For Tiny

Tiny had a busy mental day today. She was thinking about a lot of things but not so much her work. Ah, youngsters! An Educational Drive With Tiny
มุมมอง 4202 หลายเดือนก่อน
This was her second drive with something new to look at. The first was before we had 5½ inches of rain! In the distance we saw a farmer putting up an electric fence and using a 4 wheeler! Oh my! That could have turned out badly but since she has a very good brain it all came out ok. Today she saw Dave riding Spitfire. Her reaction was fun. She's not a run away girl so handled it well. Happy Driving With Tiny and Tara 11/3/24

Tara and I had a great drive with Greentree Spontaneity this afternoon. She's gaining skills every day and getting braver! It's a lot of fun introducing Tiny's skills to Tara, her owner. For those who have been following her, now that Tiny has more to interest her she is fussing far less with her bit. Good luck on your surgery! Hope you have a speedy recovery!
How do you tell if a horse has relapsed from a rattlesnake bite? Just curious- my area doesn’t have any venomous snakes so never seen it. If your other snakebite horse is who I think it is, I’ve seen him but he wasn’t relapsing at the time.
When Tiger did he was terribly ill. He fell over and couldn't get up. I was really terrified he would die. It took him a long time to get over the second one.
Pra que faz o vídeo, tem que mostrar a potranca fazendo poo. Pra ficar bom o video vc coloca a mão na frente ficou horrível. Podia ser ótimo o vídeo.
She's beautiful
Praying 🙏 ❤❤

WOW! Texas? It's so open & desolate! Here in the Northeast, it's super crowded everywhere! Seems so nice down there. Does it take a long time to get to the grocery store? Beautiful horses! Thanks for cool video & interesting conversation!❤
@lindalavino7567 we are 19 miles from the closest grocery store. Parts of Texas are very different than here. We chose the plains for its opnness.
❤❤❤👍👍👍
You are So Brave. Tiny looks to be A Young Horse. Hoping She listens to You. 😊👍❤️
Tiny is Beautiful. ❤
Thank you
She is 18 months old. She listens very well but she is soooo smart it can get difficult.
@ Please be Careful. My Grandfather put me on a horse with my Sister when I was 4. I had Horses all the years. I’m 72 now. Understand I do. Still Love them with all my heart ❤️
@@beckybell3264 I am careful. In nearly 60 years of driving I have had 2 accidents. One I was driving (a horse with mental issues I was unaware of) and the other I was a passenger. Over the years I have trained many horses to drive. It is my favorite thing to do. Thank you for caring about my safety!!
I feel so bad for this horse!
Please explain why.
@@Cecilyeg The bit could be fitted incorrectly for her, or resting on her molars (both cause pain). She keeps throwing her head around which could be a sign of discomfort or pain. Of course, it could just be a sign of frustration, but best to check. Plus, why does she need to keep her head up? She was walking with her head in a similar position at the start of the video, why was it different then?
@@ezrathing When I can't see her head it puts me in a dangerous position. It makes it much easier for a horse to kick which could lead to a big wreck. The bit is fitted correctly. Yes her wolf teeth need to be pulled but we can't until they are big enough. The bit is padded to avoid causing her pain. She has been driving for only about a month off and on due to our weather and my own physical condition. I will have a new knee in December which will make life and movement easier. She is a baby. They fuss. I give them time to get over the fussiness. It eventually goes away as they realize they do have to listen to me. Driving is its own world. Part of working babies, for me, is to get them hitched and driving. Many trainers would do ground work with them until they quit fussing. I prefer to let them work it out on the move. It makes life more interesting than the same old, same old day after day.
I would honestly be frustrated too if I was in Tiny's situation.
Her frustration is that she wants to do more than is appropriate for her age. She has watched the older horses drive and wants to do what they do!
Thanks for taking all the burrs out!
They are miserable!!
So very fine 🎉
Thanks
Be healthy ma'am
Thank you
Ótimo o vídeo linda a égua preta, perfeita de traseira.
❤👍❤️
Horse people claim to love horses but some horse people just creep me out.
?What does that have to do with this video?
Faz vídeos de éguas puxando a xarrete.
WOW, Passion is beautiful!
Thank you! So is her little sister, Greentree Hawaiian Charm!
She is so lovely and calm! Hope you made it back to the barn in fine shape, but I'm sure you did!!
No problem at all.
She is a smart girl!
Hi!!! 👋 It's been a while! What a lovely arena! Question, is the tail short because this one is young?
No the short tails on the yearlings are thanks to Billy! I finally got him stopped but it took a while!
alten cameraden!!!!
I can't hear. Do you have a microphone?😢
I have tried a mic and had worse results with that... Still searching for the right combo.
Treat the footing to keep the dust down!!!!!
I still haven't found the "right stuff" but would love suggestions!
The short tails on my yearlings are thanks to their brother, Ability!
I like your videos
Thank you!
Your ranch is good, the horses are beautiful!!! How would you like to ride with you too?!
Maybe one day!
❤ She's Cute!! 🥰
That is true!!
Cute❤
thanks

Love the video. I drive my Standardbred roadster horse every week hooked to a jog cart. We train and show at 3 speeds of the trot. We call them jog trot, road gait and trot at speed. Sitting behind a good trotter is like therapy for me.
It certainly is! The Morgans have a roadster section as well. We have had 4 of our breeding win in the roadster division at the Morgan World Championships. One mare won 14 times, Greentree Maryjane. Keep having fun!
I am very familiar with the Morgan roadster division. I believe they just concluded their championships about a week ago in OK. I keep up with them in the Saddle Horse Report. My family has been training and showing roadster horses for over 80 years. All of our road horses come off the harness racing tracks. We give these trotters a new vocation and a good home.
There is a video posted on TH-cam of JustinTime. The horse I have now.
@@LarryJenkins-vq2ur Yes, the Nationals was last week. The roadsters were fun to watch. I love watching the classes and get an itch to drive one again. But I'll never ride one again!
@@LarryJenkins-vq2ur I couldn't find it. Please send me a link
Love watching this. Everything about a horse is wonderful, even horse farts.
Always wonderful to be with them!
Amazing! Is it safer to drive a horse or to ride? Where can I get lessons? Thank you!
Well, that is a hard question to answer. Some horses are safer to ride, some to drive. It would depend on your skill level as either rider or driver. Where do you live? There are many good instructors out there.
THIS IS AWESOME!!!🎉😂❤
Thank you!
A coach dog is there to keep other dogs away from the horse, although that's probably not why the dog is there in this case. Would be nice to see more of the rig itself as well ?
Some of my other videos are from the side. I use the same vehicle most of the time. It is a Houghton competition cart. I love it because it is so stable and comfortable.
What's wrong with his hawk area ?
Not a thing. The hardest part is that due to the weather the crops are being harvested later than "usual" so their hunting is reduced. The neighbors told me that when they harvested there were many mice and rats running out of the field ahead of the harvesting equipment. I responded that I hoped they were driving them away from our house, not toward it!!
Look at that good dog walking respectfully next to his horse friend ❤
She is amazing. She also responds to my voice commands as the young horses will follow her lead. That is not a problem unless she takes off across the field after a rabbit!!
He says let's go eat!
Don't they all??
What a lovely day for a drive! And what a nice horse.
Thank you, it was a wonderful day for a drive!
Great lesson for her. Love your easy access cart!
I wish it had wooden wheels so I could take it out doors! Pneumatic tires and the goatheads aren't a good mix!
What a lovely, lovely ride. Thank you for sharing. Did you notice, he ignores your clucks and kisses, but he responds to your every word. Ladies Man is a really good boy, a real gentleman.
Thank you. I see a subtle response from him that you all probably couldn't catch. He is a very good boy and is fun to drive!
He's a handsome boy also. Beautiful horse. 🐴🐎 🐴🐎❤️❤️
Thank you!
She’s doing great!
And very happy doing it!
I don't approve of your training
Then don't watch my channel.
Ah, it is all the training that is very necessary, even the boring stuff.
Yawn, yes! lol
Is there a way to rotate this video?
I tried and tried but couldn't get it done! So sorry!!
Hello!!! And show me your chariot that you ride!
I will try to get a video tomorrow.
😊Do you want to go with you like this every day?
