I love my Yale order picker.
What's the big red button for
Well there are 2 the one on the handle is a reverser, pretty much what happens when the button comes in contact with a person or object it stops the pallet jack. Some models will stop the jack then send it back a few inches in the other direction, some will keep going in the opposite direction until it's no longer pressed. The big button on the pallet jack it self is the emergency disconnect, this kills all the power to the pallet jack, this is used mostly if there is a malfunction with the machine, and or when you bring the machine to a charging station. Hope that helped.

Never operated one of these but the controls look much like the Crown's, is the input the same? One thing I don't like about reach trucks is how there are so many different setups for input...
These new Yale models drive and feel EXACTLY like crowns. I've driven Crowns for years and felt at home when I drove these.

Looks no different than a crown to me. None of them make any sense and they're all super confusing. Especially the steering. I'm sure there's a way to make a sit down reach truck. It would just be very tight.
