I get the ego thing, but it feels like I'm being messed with and I retaliate.
Share more, what do you mean you retaliate? What do you mean it feels like you’re being messed with?
@melaniewhitney like being picked on. Or bossed around, when I retaliate, I may get angry and become argumentative.
Beautiful interview and so true. I love your podcasts!! ❤
Thank you so much! I appreciate the support.
So beautiful and very true to the core. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for taking the time to listen. Please share with anyone you’d think it would help!

I do love your meditations. I love your voice, what you say and the music ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much! More to come!
I never hear anywhere that some parents actually do not want a deep connection, they want superficial pleasant chit chat here and there and that is plenty for them. I tried for decades to have a deeper relationship with my mother and she pretends she does but really she wants me to talk once a fortnight and tell her everything is fine so she doesn't have to worry. Why is this phenomenon never discussed and every parenting video assumes parents want a deep connection? I know so many parents like that....
It's so well put!
love this!
Dr Shefali hi,do you in your book give knowledge of how to meditate. Also how to know when and what is the present moment. Thank you
Wow
great way to show reframing! Love your content
Thanks so much! I appreciate the support!
There is nothing new about this method. It has been taught by Christ. When he walked the earth and interacted with people he never forced anything and never guilt tripped anyone yet people wanted to be around him constantly.
Thank u for this
You’re welcome
❤
Absolutely thank you for this ❤
Wonderful video. I truly feel present
Meditation walks are easy to incorporate in our daily! Continue to enjoy 😊
What is the cure
That's just beautiful ❤️🎉
They all sent me follow up text the next day with where they put their flowers 🥹
No offence but you look like coraline in a good way❤😊
Ideally, I would let the person go forever but in this case, she is my sister-in-law and I can't just erase her from my memory. How to deal with it?
We let go of the expectations we held about the relationship and implement boundaries. Easier said than done but possible. Check out my free communication course if you need tips on how!
Although this advice sounds great, it's a lot harder in practice. I have a few built up at this point!🤭🤫
We get better with practice 🤓
My daughter recently told me she needs me to step back.. not step out but step back.. she wants me to get a hobby to keep busy and stay off of her. She wants to show me she knows what to do instead of me telling her. And I admit I need to understand she grows daily and just bc this has failed before, such as letting her moderate her wine grades once she ends up with 30+ missing assignments in computers and had to spend 4 hours a night for a solid week catching up to pass the class.. I can’t hold that against her but it feels like need to keep an eye on this so this doesn’t happen again.. she was 8th grade then…
Thank you!
You're welcome!
BAAH! I VANT TO DRINK YOUR ENERGY
Exactly my friend aka bitch is holding a grudge and I’ve apologized like idk what SEVEN times or 8 🤦♀️
Thank You , love this awareness, God Bless this Channel🙏🙏
Thank you for the kind words.
Great interviewer. Dr shefali is great as usual
She is such an awesome person to speak to, so much wisdom and presence.
I would like to see the results 4,10, 20, after someone raise their kids like this. Research
Dig into some psychology databases and other academic journals - you'll find the communication patterns she discusses are supported by research. Is there a specific tactic you are curious about?
Thank you. You bring so much with every video.
Thank you for the kind words! Hope you are well.
Sooooo how do I manage the constant attack Or disappointment towards me ?
If it's constant, sounds like the relationship itself may not be healthy.
@Dr.Shefali can this book help fix a completely ruined mother son relationship? I adopted my 8yrs right old last year and because of all the issues we have lost that little bit of relationship that we had built.
I would definitely look into the book, she lays out things in a very practical way. You may find many tools to help you rebuild the relationship, may just take some time.
@@melaniewhitney thank you!
Lovely. It took me long but eventually I did became that parent who I needed in my life.

Glad this was recommended to me

I do try but it doesn’t help much at all
Doesn't help you? Or doesn't help others?
I’ve said that!! Ppl should need a License to have kids lol😅
😅
My three year old twins now tell me, “I don’t need you” after I put them On the potty.. and I was so proud of them!! ❤
Aw the probably felt so empowered to feel independent
Let yourself observe your feelings ❤ Don't run from your feelings ❣
Such power if being able to observe
REALLY needed to hear this! Thank you! 🙏
Glad the video found you 🫶🏽
Tysm needed this today
You’re welcome, hope it gave you some reassurance or clarity.
Thank you so much for the lovely advice!
Hope it helps 🫶🏽
yes it did help!
To bad the folks that could really use this teaching will never show up here.
I like to think that the people who are ready to do the work will stumble across the video 🫶🏽
Never say never 😏 with God anything is possible
One million percent agree there needs to be some sort of certificate before having kids. My friend told me that at her practice, no one can adopt if theyeven vape. Yet anyone can breed willy nilly. I never was equipped to be a parent, neither was my mother. Unfortunately, requirements to be a parent will unlikely happen. I feel sad for the future sometimes.
I feel you...I used to work in public health and youth in underserved communities. It was disheartening when the parents were not supportive of their kids. All we can do is make a difference in our own worlds, our own communities. Focus on those children and keep that mindset geared towards the kids you can help.
Wise words..i wish id known this kind of thing sooner. Hadnt even heard of self love in 2009 when i met my last partner. This guy needed a lot of healing. Mental, physical, emotional. Yiu know a relationship isnt on the strongest foundation when you meet in the wueue for medication after being sectioned. Me because of bipolar. I just saw a guy with a big heart who had no idea how lovely he was. Long story short, stayed for 10 years as he had no one else in the world and i didnt wanna him to be alone. He's no longer with us anymore and im in an awesome relationship now with the one. One of the first things he tried to teach me is yr not as fragile as you think you are. Its true. I listen to yr morning meditations every morning. Sets the ball rolling really nicely. Take it easy xx
Thank you for sharing your story and the kind words. I'm sorry to hear all you went through. And glad to know you are doing well now. Glad you enjoy the morning meditation. Hope you are subscribed to my newsletter! Have more awesome things like that coming. Thank you again for the support.
Awsome start to my day. Thank yoy. I suffer from bipolar diorder but my general setting is low anxiety. I need a kick start to my day as if i start with connection and warmth towards myself, this spills out towards the people i love who love me. For the last 2 weeks i was listening to yr other morning meditation and it has a v positive effect. Its lovely to hv a second one. However, in place of sending my amber light to humanity, i hold in my hands a pic of my loved ones over the years and send them with love while im feeling grateful and loving. Hope you hv a great day x
Keep up with all the proactive things you are doing to orient your mind and energy. Sending you lots of love and light.
Thank you🩷
Thank you for taking time to ground yourself. Each time one of us done this it not only benefits ourselves, but the humans we encounter.
I am saving this for tonight!!!🤗🩷
Hope you sleep well!
This was amazing, thank you so much🩷🤗🙏
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for the kind comment. Any topic requests for the next meditation?
Well done
Thank you, hope you are doing well :)
