Mazda Mx-6 Modification Channel.
This car build is from the late 90's and early 2000's era. Inspired from the SuperStreet, Import tuner, Nopi and Fast and Furious styles. This is a hobby car with small projects here and there. I have been modifying this car since 2002. The car can be seen at local car meets and shows in Tennessee. 93% of the build has been from a residential garage. No lifts or special equipment. No sponsors, Non-Profit build.

Cylinder Head Valves and Springs install on a Mazda Mx-6 KLDE engine

For my new cylinder heads, I successfully installed the valves and springs. I noticed in the video that I initially installed one spring upside down; however, I corrected that mistake later. This is part 16 of the $40KLDE engine build.

I am going with new KLDE cylinder heads for my $40KLDE build. I want this motor to be as new as possible. After ordering 3 different cylinder heads(F42Z-6049-L, F42Z-6049-D , and F42Z-6049-F) I think I have a compatible match. I sealed the heads with a coat of paint, a dash of cleaning, and I Installed new valve steam seals for the final touch!

I purchased my Mazda Mx-6 in 2003 to be a simple daily driver, but now it is a show car! So, what happened? This was a budget build project car, with small modifications made each year. Now more than 20 years in, the time and work added up to a highly modified car. Here is the story.
ARC Super Blow Off Valve

The ARC Super Blow Off Valve is a classic BOV from the Japanese tuner car culture. This is the early style ARC Super Blow Off valve which has a fixed BOV output port (Funnel/Trumpet). I get to try a dual/twin setup with two BOV's. I had a little trouble getting them to open at first, but they both worked in the end.

Finishing up the last parts on the engine block bottom end for the $40KLDE. I got lucky and found a new oil pan for under $20, and a new oil pickup/screen under $30.

This is Part 10 of my $40KLDE build. I went with the K.A.i forged rods and the modified kl pistons. Note: most of our measurements are very close to the maximum allowed specifications for building this engine, but we are still going to build it. We checked the ring gap in the worn portion of the cylinder to show a gap increase from cylinder wear over time.

I am going with the Front Mount Intake System with my supercharger setup. In the early 2000's, this was the "new generation of performance systems" for cold air intakes . This intake is louder than my old conventional cold air intake. I modded a cheaper AROSPEED to look and function like the premium MAXXFMIS.
Jeep XJ Performance Radiator in a Mazda Mx6

I swapped the 1984-2001 Jeep XJ Aluminum Performance Radiator by Cold-Case into a Mazda Mx6. This gives me more room for my intake/intercooler piping, which I can run my piping between the radiator and lower front subframe.

Im amazed its staying together mine with a singal type s and a 5th gen m45 was blowing the pipes off beaded and tbolts with hairspray

Hi I'm just assembling my engine and I notice my oil pump have some cracks under where the relief valve plug is like yours, on the original. is it normal? I have another, but older (92) that doesn't have it.
Not sure if it is normal, but the pump was working great with no issues at the time.

Love to see some mx-6 love in 2024!!! Flashback to 2002. 18 year old me, F&F came out. senior in high school. Bought a 93 ls with borla exhaust, lowered, wheels, etc. Loved every minute of it. Something about the sound of the kl is chilling. Kept it for years and sold a couple years ago. Kinda regret but I would buy another one for a project in a heartbeat.

I thought the egr was under the car in the exhaust system with these engines?
The egr vent exhaust tube is under the right exhaust manifold, but egr is on cylinder head on this klde

I think 1/4 inch is fine for most setups unless you are doing a fast bag setup
That´s a sick setup mate! I have a question for you. If I have an stock 1994 PGT and want to connect my oil catch can the same way you did, what can I do with the small air port at the intake elbow and the other at the intake manifold? I can see there is a hose that goes from the PCV valve to the intake manifold but you unplugged it from the intake manifold and connected it to the oil catch can. What did you with that port at the intake manifold where you disconnected that hose from? Did yoy just capped it?
You can cap off / plug up the intake ports. Let PVC vent through the catch can.
Здравствуйте очень интересна эта история про его так как у меня Мазда милления на kl ze 2.5 и так же висит ошибка по егр но мотор из Японии и самого клапана нет хочу как то закрыть вакуумную систему до конца но висят все солинойды на егр и не знаю как их соединить что бы вырезать лишний солинойд из системы.
