(insert self-serving description here) Logo remakes, logo finds, maybe some Prevue stuff here and there, etc., etc. Anyway, enjoy.
Fireworks Pictures (2001-2003) logo remake
Well, here it is. A remake of a logo that no one (at least, that I can remember) has ever attempted before... until now. And for good reason. A logo like this requires a very high skill level of remaking. Not just with Blender. It also goes for software like After Effects, for example.
This was the result of three weeks of hard work, which was split up into three stages: the rotoscoping, the fireworks themselves, and the logo at the end. The third part in particular required me to do a separate logo remake in between, just so I could implement that into the remake I started. With all the power required for such a remake, I had no choice but to use Adobe Media Encoder to render all of this. Using AE to render the remake by its lonesome wouldn't work, since the RAM would be depleted quickly.
Software used:
- After Effects 2019 (for the entire remake; Cinema 4D Lite was used for the 3D text, but that was within AE, not by itself)
Please, do not steal.

Photo Video (1993) logo remake

For this one... I'm very sure no one's ever remade this logo. And it may not be exact, but this was the result of me challenging myself to see if I can remake a logo in a tool where I do not have the ability to directly compare my remake to the original like I always do for my other remakes. And there may be no audio... but just imagine Jean-Michel Jarre's music playing over it. Software: Delux...

T.A.T. Communications Company (1980) logo remake (UPDATED)
มุมมอง 1.5K8 หลายเดือนก่อน
Here's an updated version of the logo remake, based on the print logo that was found by OrdinaryBoss and messaged to angelothecascomfan2k8 in a Discord server dedicated to the T.A.T. logo search. A find that was later discovered to be illegitimate and fake. The unearthed print logo on which the "Orange Star" logo was supposedly entirely based on shows the all-caps "Distributed by" text, except ...

From the end of a 1995 (I think?) KTVU rerun of the 1988 TV movie "Lady Mobster." One "TVShow Lover (Year)" user posted the exact same combo at the end of August 2023, but it was from a Polish print, and the ACI logo faded out just as the animation began thanks to the Polish TV station that aired it. This copy is different from the other, however... the audio's slightly muffled (advantage... fo...
Kodak Video Products (Spanish version, 1987)
มุมมอง 1268 หลายเดือนก่อน
And now, presenting the Spanish version of the Kodak Video Products logo. Seen at the beginning of (presumably) later Kodak-branded VHS tapes from LK-Tel Video in Chile from 1987 until the switch to Sony video cassettes in 1988. Credit goes to @archivosenvhs (through his Pelis en VHS Blogspot website) for the footage itself. Audio enhanced by Adobe Audition.
Kodak Video Products (1987)
มุมมอง 2478 หลายเดือนก่อน
Here's a rare find... the Kodak Video Products logo. This was presumably intended for use on Kodak's instructional VHS tapes, but as far as I know, there hasn't been any evidence of that in that area. However, it is seen at the beginning of LK-Tel Video's VHS tapes in Chile from 1987 until 1988 (when the company switched from Kodak video cassettes to Sony video cassettes). The early VHS release...

This interesting find comes from a 1985 Editel System IV demo reel on the Internet Archive. Head's up... aside from the tape hiss, there's no audio in this ID. What doesn't help in that regard is that there are no other places, as far as I can tell, from where the ID is other than said demo reel, so you may have to leave it up to your imagination on what the ID sounds like. Excellent recreation!
where can I get this emulator? I would love to play around with it myself
The software is in the Park-City Prevue website. But you'll also need PrevueCLI, for example, and WinUAE. You'll also need to follow the tutorial as laid out on the Park-City Prevue website.
I love it! It looks really awesome.
Thanks.
"NO LINKS" Honestly, you don't need to say that. I don't mean to pester you or anything. Because if I were to remake something like this, the whole model is not meant to be editable personally. Like imagine it's the 2010's era. Anyways, props to great effort on this remake.
Yeah, I just removed that part from the description. This was when I was my immature self and I didn't know any better, even though I claimed I did.
But damn, you actually came a long way through. I was originally planning to do the aesthetic letter font on this, but scrapped for now because according to my unexpected thoughts when using lattice.
I could see them rebranding movieplex as starz movieplex
The starz wasn’t the focus. At first. Then the name starz became iconic.
4:44 I think we found it. Can’t send link because TH-cam deletes them immediately
This is really cool. Great work!
This is what Prevue looked like for me. I grew up in Shilo, a small town near Brandon, MB, so we got this version of Prevue instead of the fuller-featured ones on larger cities's cable services. It's giving me a rush of memories of just letting this play by late at night.
United now serves more expensive Illy coffee today.

I remember this!😮
How did you get the movie channels red? And how did you add the text messages on the grid? And the announcements
Netflix? So as a full on tv channel or just the app
I could have swore that theres a lost directtv logo i saw as a kid, it was in the dvd "selena" which is a concert of her songs, right after the bullying psa, the directtv logo would play with satelites appearing in a dark blue background, with a sphre forming the directrv logo, along with some different sound as well.
I always knew there was something wrong with the whole "Board of Director" things. Especially since I remember that "logo pirates" video Stephen Cezar made which was just basically bullying of people who dared reupload logos, some of them being just kids. I'm really glad that with the name change to AVID and the focus on being encyclopedic, we're letting the drama and stuff in the past. As for the BoD, good riddance!
Well... here's the thing. Right now, AVID has had to deal with a lot of issues that are out of their control (on the part of MediaWiki). They've already moved out of Miraheze hosting. Now, they're going to move to MyWikis, in the hopes that the experience there will be smoother. But regardless, AVID has been doing well in the almost two years since I made the text-only recap video. The CLG Fandom Wiki, on the other hand? Turns out moderation's even more of a no-show here than it was during the pre-AVID Miraheze days, as it's complete chaos without any form of oversight. The nicknames that the logos on the wiki possess are even more ludicrous and subjective than before; the very reason why AVID did away with them in the first place. And that's not to mention the various cases of vandalism and no-goodery that go undetected (or at least I think). If anything, it all but confirms the fears of those that criticized the BoD for what they've been doing prior to the former CLG Wiki's name change to AVID... without oversight that the members deem fair, the wiki risks falling apart. Without oversight in general, the wiki falls apart and then some, as we're seeing now with the CLG Fandom Wiki (which, by the way, wasn't their first choice; they planned on making a new, separate CLG Wiki, but one of AVID's former members put a stop to that before it could ever get off the ground).
Hey DJ. It’s been awhile. I hope you’re still fine with making prevue emulations, because I have a lot of requests for you. You can choose the providers, but I choose the locations and the software (and for amgia, the type of mode). Here is my load of requests. California: Northridge, amiga prevue grid mode. Pasadena, amiga prevue list mode. New York: Nanuet, pc prevue. Hicksville, Amiga prevue grid mode. North Carolina: Pineville, Amiga prevue grid mode. Illinois: Springfield, Amiga prevue list mode. Naperville, pc prevue. Rockford, Amiga prevue list mode. Ohio: Cincinnati, epg jr. Canada: Mississauga Ontario, Amiga prevue grid mode. Kentucky: Louisville, pc prevue. Bowling Green, pc prevue. Maryland: Hagerstown, pc prevue. Tennessee: Madison, Amiga prevue list mode. Texas: Harlingen, pc prevue. Florida: Naples, pc prevue. Pensacola, epg jr. And that’s all my requests. Sorry if this sounds like a lot, or if some sound completely undoable.
I forgot one. TH-cam can’t let me edit for some reason so I’m gonna reply. Washington (state): Lynwood, Amiga prevue list mode.
I'll take care of them one by one. Sorry for the delay.

It’s so funny, cause United hasn’t used Starbucks coffee since 2010. They use in Lily now
Welp it’s TAT 2.0
Not really. Because the full ACI logo is seen elsewhere in other copies.
I remember this one! Especially after the "Star Wars" trilogy re-release in the 90s.
Now in the description, I said that I used ShareX as the recording software for this video. Let me elaborate on why I used *that* tool and not OBS Studio, the one I normally use. The reason is plain and simple: OBS Studio cannot record the Prevue software running on WinUAE without it freezing every now and then. At least, on my computer. I've used OBS Studio ever since I recorded my first Prevue emulation video (with the July 4, 2021 listings). From personal experience, it has not been pleasant for me. Just about every time, with the exception of PC Prevue, getting the thing to record a full video on the first try by the time I've deemed enough footage was recorded for me to press "Stop" was daunting. If it did just that, it would be all but a miracle. And that's even after using FFMPEG encoding in OBS Studio itself. ShareX, which also uses FFMPEG, is lightweight, yet it does a more stable job at doing the same thing that OBS Studio does when it comes to recording a small emulation window. I've tested it a few times, and I haven't run into any roadblocks with it at all. In fact, when I first ran it with the Prevue software running, it recorded just under 10 minutes of footage. Not bad... until I realized that I had DST saved in the software, which set the listings an hour ahead of where they should be. Second try without DST... 25 minutes, in one go. No slowdowns or anything. Something that OBS Studio somehow isn't capable of doing with WinUAE also running on my computer (yet it is capable of doing that with DOSBox and DOSBox-X, which is weird, since both pieces of software have essentially a Windows 95 VM running PC Prevue).
I can try remaking that after school.
Lacks some motion blur I think
The circle part of the logo comes off a bit jittery.
I agree. I give this recreation a 9/10, and if it was rendered at 60 fps it would be a 10/10.

First recreation based on arguably our largest T.A.T find in +20 years!!! Great job at font identification!
Well, I hate to break this to you... but a few of us AVID Discord members dug deeper into the legitimacy of this print logo find. It was fake all along. I'll upload a video showing why soon.
@@DJ_Saunders Yeah, just found out it's been debunked. Honestly had some skepticism since the beginning, I *knew* I wasn't _that_ excited. Posted about this on my Community tab too rn.
@@DJ_Saundersyou know what, fake or not. I love it. And I feel it might be closest to the real thing, we don’t know. But we’ll see.
I agree with this one!
Me too.

I like LAX & PDX.
Perfect remake! You even considered the choppiness from the original animation!🎉
Thanks, but I feel as though it's a little *too* choppy for my liking... I might update this someday.
