Quail Hatch!
มุมมอง 12521 วันที่ผ่านมา
Over the past few months I have been working on this Bobwhite quail breeding project. And today is the day you guys get to watch the first step of the process!! A year ago we brought bobwhite quail onto our property. These chicks are very fragile, so half of what we had did not survive. But over the past months I have watched these birds grow and develop, and have formed quite a curiosity about...
Easy coop clean out? (ways to reduce flies)
มุมมอง 198หลายเดือนก่อน
In today's video I will be showing you a new method I am testing out to make my coop cleanup, and possibly yours easier. Here on the homestead we are open to new ideas, and when I saw this video online (I do not take credit for this idea) I had to give it a try! This method was a success,.I just didn't put it in the video. Take some notes, because along the way we touch on a few ways you can re...
Planting my flower garden (it's that time of year!!)
มุมมอง 23หลายเดือนก่อน
Finally...the time I've been waiting for since last year. it's time to get these flower seeds in the ground, and prepare ourselves for a beautiful season of colorful blooms and growth! flower farming is something I recently got into, so a lot of it is still experimentation. but the varieties I have picked out for this season are STUNNING! I can't wait to see this space come to life in a few mon...

It's that time of year! We are tilling up and planting in our first garden bed of 2024. The sunflowers we are planting today, will be the first harvest of the season! I am looking forward to seeing all of the beautiful blooms that will flourish in this garden. Sowing seeds today is just the start! Planting time! (adding flowers to the greenhouse)
มุมมอง 48หลายเดือนก่อน
Let's start some flowers in the Greenhouse! I have a bunch of seeds that I want to start in pots. This method will allow me the flexibility to grow more using containers, instead of filling up my garden space with things that don't necessarily fit. I'm excited to see all of these new varieties grow, and I'm hopeful that they will thrive! • • All of my links: linktr.ee/overallfarmher • • #garden...

So pretty!
Are you david the good’s, kid?
THIS IS SO PRETTY
thank you sm❤️❤️
We've used both grass and leaf mulch and it makes a HUGE difference. Great advice to help people keep away from nasty chemicals! (I over winter my strawberries with leaf mulch and it helps thin out the plants, killing off the older ones.)
@@Rachelmurarik9380 I agree with this too! The strawberry mulching is something we do as well. It works great!
All those leafs down by the plants can be hydrotilled, making super dark rich dirt (compost).
this is so cool
@@wuinnyggahahahdbrboppor thank you!
Hello from Canada! Great video.
Awesome! I'm incubating in a Kebonnixs Digital similar to yours. it is preset at 99.5° but the farmer told me for an higher hatch rate to set the temperature to 100.3° I was a little hesitant to change it, so I just put it on 100° on day 2.. I'm kind of glad I did because I have a small calibrated thermometer inside, and it's only reading 99.7° . I'm on day 5 now and hoping for the best..❤
Good luck to you on your hatch!! I found that the quail eggs had the highest hatch rate I've ever seen when I've incubated, and I had it set at the preset level the whole time. Hopefully you get a decent crop of little chicks!
@@OverallFarmHer Thank you! I'll let you know the results!
@@863NightOwl I would love that!!
Thank you for sharing!!! This was so fascinating and I loved it!! So proud of you Momma chick;)
Thank you! ❤️❤️
Oh this reminds me of when I was a little girl(I'm now 64) and sitting on my grandma's porch, which was situated on a small narrow piece of ground with the famous C&O canal in front yard and the Potomac river in the back yard... listening to the bobwhites !! Thanks for the great memories!!!
We took your idea and did it!! Now it is organized and we know right where they are!!! Thanks!!!
I love your set up... I never gave it a thought to check for maggots:( Thanks for the tips!!!
What a neat idea! Did it work?
Your garden was beautiful last year... sure it will be even better this year;)
What other plants do you grow?
We have a large variety of vegetables and flowers! Squash, cucumbers, beans, tomatoes, and so much more! Stay tuned for garden tours where I will be showing off all of the garden space😁
Grow some outdoor cannabis
🤣🤣🤣
You forgot to water it! To pollinate the ears of corn, you need to plant them in a block 10 feet square. Good luck. Make sure to reinforce the plot, and hill the soil around each plant, or they will fall over in the rain.
Just because it's not in the video, doesn't mean I didn't do it! 😁 But thank you for your concern and advice!
Not enough space. In row spacing is 9-12" and row to row is 12-18".
It's a dwarf variety. Also mentioned in the video that I wasn't too worried about the spacing step! 😁 But thank you for the advice!
Your garden inspires me... well it inspires me to have my husband plant more:) lol... gardens and snakes aren't my thing:) But I do love sunflowers in the garden... makes it so "sunny"!!
Curios how your chicken compost bin is working out? I think my chickens would scratch everything out of that, but I know you were planning on adding sides.
Whenever I remember to add the garden scraps, they till it around and it all stays in! But it's definitely something I need to work on...because just adding greens isn't going to make good compost. So throughout the season, I'll probably toss some brown materials in there as well!
Very nice video. I searched for "Compost Builds". Your channel came up. I built a bin today out of garage doors and cinder blocks. I have a ton of tree limbs and leaves, that have come down over the last two weeks. We have had a lot of storm and storm damage. Thank you, this will help me. I subscribed and hope to see a lot more!!
That's so awesome! Glad I could help inspire you! 😁 If you ever have any questions, feel free to ask! I'm here to help educate. 💛🌱
I have marigolds and sunflowers in my garden, that's as "pretty" as I get 😂
I respect that 😂 veggies can be beautiful too!!
❤cool😅
😂🤣
Alliums!
Actually Chive blossoms! We forage them, and then use them to make a vinegar for salad dressings 😋
birds are government drones
Bro, for real though 😂
영상이 예뻐요😊❤❤❤ 응원합니다 🌳🌷🪻⚘️
See ... but I first read the title as "trampoline farm," and I was like y'all, I have bad news for this year's crop....
oh that's great🤣😂
Then she would be expecting a jumper crop.😂
I heard "spring" is the best time to plant for that. 🥱 😂
Who is this by? Love it.
Moments voice memo by Teesa, and the birds are actually my original audio! 😁 It was so satisfying to listen to
@@OverallFarmHer 👍Thank You.

Super excited to see where your new adventures take you!
No shoes noproblems... i living and working barefoot since 2011
I’m a little disappointed....no overalls! 😂 I’m in central Alabama zone 8 and I have squash, tomatoes and peppers blooming. You should come south! 😅
I need to throw on a pair for more videos. I'll try to remember that next time 😉 and I am JEALOUS!! good luck to you this gardening year! 💛🌱
Amen
I love bobwhites, they used to be around our area wild. Sadly there’s so many houses being built the land is disappearing quickly and so is their habitat. I’ve heard one in the past 20 years.
That's cool! Yeah, I know what you mean. Wish we could protect more animals habitats. 💛
I went a little crazy with the maters this year. I ended up with about 22-23 different varieties!
That's awesome!! You just need to find the garden space now!🤣🤣
@@OverallFarmHer I believe I have that handled. Lucky enough to still live on 40 acres.
@@Boldo75 that's awesome!!
@@OverallFarmHer I'm sure you've said in a video but I'm a new subscriber. Where are y'all located? Also I wear my Liberty overalls everyday so I approve of your clothing choice 🤣

And on the third day you have so many plants you’re trying to figure out where to put them lol
Then your out in your garden going what was I thinking. 😂

A wonderful video!! I can't wait to see the flowers in full bloom and the different arrangements you'll make!
Another amazing video!!! So happy for you!! I think the soil will do very well being mixed with the potting mix
A very wonderful video!! Full of very useful information!! Can't wait to see the growth at the end of the end!!
