Hey enjoy your video I know exactly where you where fishing next time try make your way down stream it will take you to two lakes. It good fishing where the creek comes into the lake. You probably have get out of kayak as you make your way down stream. I usually catch fish on texas rig worm with a 3/16 bullet weight depends on the current. Good luck

Yeah you can freeze oysters, it makes them easy to open. Down here it doesn't get much better than fresh shucked South Australian oysters. My favourite is shucked and left covered in the fridge for a day or two until they get sticky..🤤

third day out with my lost creek version and almost had to paddle back the steering sucked so bad... so did this change help long term? and how difficult was it to get the new cables through the stock sheath? TIA

Haha good point about the front bungees. I got a cheap used Kayak (Lifetime Kenai) and took it out for the first fishing trip last night. I caught a small bass and it got stuck along with the spinner bait under that front bungee. Keep in mind this was my first kayak bass haha. I had to use the paddle to slide under the bungees and push the fish back to me. Thankfully the hook didn’t go into the cord. Being my first time out fishing on it, I was not too sure how much to move around without flipping it. Think I will remove mine as well and leave the back one in place.

I don't know what head boats you go out on but my last three trips yielded 5 fish only one keeper??? And no one else did much better.?? The captain gave our instructions and made a big deal about how we were going to be too busy pulling in fish??? I think it's a scam....

You said the cables are Stainless steel with a plastic coating inside of that plastic sleeve that leads to the steering lever. With the plastic on plastic friction, I wonder if putting some powdered graphite inside the sleeve would help. Just a thought.

I have a LostCreek, same manufacturer. Some people have replaced their steering mechanism with another brand like FeelFrees 8ball system. My rudder was off and steering was disconnected when I bought it because the previous owner had a MinnKota mounted out to the side off the back on a 2x4, which I removed because I want to use the pedals. I can't figure out how the rudder deployment ropes attach to the rudder. I see they go through the two holes on the rudder between the fins where the steering cables attach. But from there, I'm assuming one goes up and over and the other goes in the opposite direction. Again Boewal Design offers no directions or pics. And it appears they go into the three holes in the rudder. I've tried that but can't get it to work properly, just barely. Also, is there a spring in the wheel/head of the rudder? Boreal Design, which has the world's worst customer service, had a " rudder spring" I believe it was, so I ordered it, hoping it would help. But again, if it's supposed to be in there, I can't figure out how. Any pics/videos, descriptions/explanations that you're willing to provwould be appreciated. I asked another utuber and LostCreek owner, but he didn't help much as he had also had the same steering issues as you/I and had fixed and replaced his. I'm planning on rerouting my cables lower out the back as you did and also considering running them down inside along the side instead of under the seat to avoid the twists and turns.

lol I see this is 2 years old but I can solve this problem quickly, you need 2 more poles attached on top of the poles you got 90 degrees and spaced perfectly to fit the grooves underneath the kayak then attach poles to traler

I hear people will take punches of the ray without filleting it first I was told you use a sharpened metal pipe. Do you know anything about this? I’m interested in trying it however I’m not great at filleting fish yet and stingray seemed too difficult for my skill level. I think you can use the rest of the carcass for crab trap bait too.

Well.its not just the liver that makes it smell bad or taste bad. You have r to bleed it as soon as you get it also gut it in the water because sharks pee through their skin and if you burst the bladder while gutting it will spoil the meat. Then when gutted and bless out properly, get it in ice right away.

I've heard nothing but good about the tamarack, light weight sturdy storage compartments, not to mention multiple rod holders or fish finders, I see myself purchasing one and using the hell out of it

You can't freeze raw oysters in the shell, please don't eat them if you did. Im afraid the Oysters could make you sick after freezing, always eat them fresh and only if they are closed tightly.

I wrap my pool noodles with gorilla tape to keep from tearing at the contact points. I might suggest covering the tops of those bolts used to secure your pvc to the trailer. If ever they gave out and broke going down the road those bolts could puncture your kayak
