Hmm, I remember i had recorded a video of the hatch door disassembly but it seems it was never uploaded and i don't know where the file might be. Changed phones in the meantime. I'll try to explain the steps. 1. The interior plastic of the hatch door: 2 torx screws (don't know the size by memory, sorry) a) pry around the sides to remove the plastic cladding, going around. With sufficient force to unclip it . You will hear hefty plastic sounds as the clips get out from the holes. Don't be scared) 2. The outer plastic part is held by 5 or 6 screws with a 10mm (i think) spanner that you open from the inside after you removed the interior plastic cladding a) the electrical connector must be disconnected as well. WARNING: when you put everything back again, for the love of god, DO NOT forget to plug this connector, because you will lock the boot and unable to open except EXTREMELY DIFFICULT crawling from passenger area inside the trunk area and forcing the interior plastic cladding out again, (I did it and you don't want it, trust me.) 3. To remove the exterior plastic piece, again, must pry around the sides, because more plastic clips are holding it to the metal frame a) now you have access to the part you see in the video after unscrewing 2 more screws. HINT: buy original part, is not too expensive and the bloody connector fits, not the stupid aliexpress and others sold parts (like in this video) that doesn't have the right connector. The process is easy for anyone that is comfortable using powertools and various tools in any amateur way, not rocket science. Sorry for no video.

Glad it helped you out with a rough idea. Affordable spare parts can be found online and is better than a patched up spit and ducktape job to simply replace the button ^_^

Hi, The tweeters are held into position through a twisting motion, a proprietary method. If you search images of the factory tweeters you will see some "wings" built into them, which grab and hold onto slots dedicated for them. Replacing them would require some tinkering for this car model because of their location. A creative idea would be to use a spare set to chop off the existing tweeter and "glue in" an upgraded unit. As for size, it shouldn't be a problem. For example the Hertz Dieci DSK 165.3 kit has tweeters that will fit (i'm using this brand name as an example, not promoting or anything else) as sold by some vendors as dedicated replacement for C4 2004-2010

There is no problem. An amp will always be a good thing even on stock speakers the same as better speakers will be performing better than stock ones. Amp + upgraded speakers is even better.

Hello, It's been a number of years since it was bought so maybe the seller stopped. What I can recommend is to see the specs and find similar from other sellers. This unit had the 4G sim card for native internet connectivity (not though wi-fi like most cars have) and it came complete with the plastic bezel to replace car existing one. So ask the seller first and also about compatibility if they need info about your specific version.

Not sure what problem you have. The car doesn't have button in car or remote to open trunk/hatch. If you mean the unlock button in the center console not unlocking the trunk/hatch, then the problem is with the wires at the top where they enter the car. That is know defect and was official recall to replace the rubber wiring harness and repair broken wires.

Hi, Best to find a local installer and do a checkup for your situation. These android units are quite widespread nowadays for almost every car. So local shops should have experience with these android units and check out your vehicle. maybe there's a short somewhere?! Or maybe the unit has some issues?! Overheating and tripping some internal fuse?!. And the reset just helps to clear out the error so the unit can power on but otherwise the problem is still there. These are just generic ideas, best to consult the seller and a local installer.

So the unit worked before and now suddenly it doesn't? Maybe when the car is started to press the power button for a few seconds?! Or with a thin wire to press the reset "button". Is the battery old on the car? Best to contact the seller and also visit a local car radio install center. They could help directly with your case to try and figure out the problem. If the unit broke down or other cause.

I have bought the unit from aliexpress. A link in the description. But there are different sellers. In my case the seller sent from germany warehouse, which is good for me. I didn't want to buy from outside EU warehouse.

Hello, I'm not aware of any tricks. If you follow the video you will see the complete installation of the unit for the first time (including removing the old one) with all the actions taken to position it. It is difficult for the locking button and hazards button, because the car cable is short, and you have to do it close to the dashboard. It would be helpful to have a second person to help with extra hands.

Glad you liked it. Hope to help the owners that have this problem find out why the probem appears.. Those foam pads put by some shop in the past failed after a time passed. So best is to replace unit with a functional one and understand why it doesn't work. Some places may confuse this problem with the wiring harness problem and after trying to fix that, of course, this won't get solved because the little door hinges is the problem.

Hi, 1) The big screen frame was part of the package. I don't think they can be found separate. 2) The small screen adapter frame (replace old CD unit) can be found on different stores. For example on aliexpress search "citroen peugeot screen adapter" and should find some results. Price for it was like 4 usd + shipping at the moment of making this video.

Not needed. There isn't any justified reason to have them struggling inside the door. Upgrade the tweeters in the dash near the windscreen area if you want. Hello, I haven't seen the message when you posted it, sorry. Hope i can help you now. From the steering wheel controls, on the bottom side there is a button "Menu" that access it. And then using the little wheel there and the "mode" and "esc" buttons. This is how the steering wheel was for this vehicle. Other C4 with a lower trim, have buttons just on the top side, so I can't tell for those vehicles. I will look and see if from the digital menu of the lcd can be changed and get back to you.

Hi, Following up on the situation, the menus from the unit don't control the car screen, but all the info you may need is contained in the screen unit. So if you don't have the lower half buttons on the steering wheel i don't know of a way to access the language menu of the car.

Also, I think you can buy adapters for the citroen speaker plug, i saw on aliexpress recently. When i changed these speakers i just cut the citroen wires and soldered directly. With the adapters i think you'll keep the factory plug and just solder on the adapter wires the connectors.

16.5cm (or 6.5) inch is the size for the front and for the rear. If you wish to try different size best to open the door and use a cutout shape of the 17cm size to see if it works

Hello, For the rear bumper plastic trim here is a diagram. Yo will need some of those orange plastic trim removing tools to insert between the trim and bumper, to gradually get it out. The rear speakers on the Citroen C4 mk1 coupe (3 door hatch) and berline (5 door hatch) are 165mm in diameter For the rest of the components will share the replacement of factory head unit with a new touchscreen LCD display (android 10) As they are different from stock, could not help you with subwoofer specs on the factory unit.

Sadly youtube blocks for copyright reasons the video with the sound comparison stock vs these speakers. I shall try to upload on a different site and see if it is allowed there. You can use any speakers you may like that fit the 165mm diameter. As shown in the video some cutting of the plastic shroud may be required for some speakers because of the connectors position.

Hi, Just a 2 way. Quick and easy swap for everyone with some basic skill of wiring. Sound is a lot better than stock for the regular person. Has good bass, no distorsions. Don't use added bass or enhancement in the menu option for the factory headunit.

Will post some other mods and maintenance for this car, that owners can do with basic knowhow and tools.
