It’s clean and it’s all out, now it’s drying up the hole so it can further heal. Any cowboy ways out there that you do to an abscess? Let’s hear them in the comment section.

New Horse has an Abscess. Heres How I Treat & Clean it
มุมมอง 1.1Kวันที่ผ่านมา
Horses be horses.. am I right? This is our new project (re)named Tully(is that an unlucky thing to do?) She is a sweet mare that had an abscess probably brewing in her foot since we picked her up. Maybe a new farrier and sight new angles to her hoofs caused it to move and come out in the path of least resistance. This particular abscess was near the top of her hoofs so it was going to come out ...
Learning the Barrel Racing Basics - Jets Journey (1.5 months)
มุมมอง 129หลายเดือนก่อน
Jet is settling into the new program with us at WCH. So far we are focused on getting him fit, softer in the body and moving a little more efficient. Everything we do is to prepare him for the pattern. This is a great exercise or drill to work on all the things we need done well in order to move forwar to the barrel pattern.

Can you do a long line video ?
I would recommend listening to the song, Gratitude! Especially, of your Christian. (Even if you aren’t, it’s a really nice song.)
Aww okay I’ll definitely check it out, thank you for the recommendation
SO REAL! Also, how many poles are usually set up for pole bending?
@@Riding4LifeWithPiper 6 poles 21 feet apart!
Thanks!
Do you have any tips to get your horse to listen to your seat when you ask for a stop- Because, Im literally here my legs forward and leaning- but my horse isn’t stopping. Half the time, he won’t listen to the bit either. So now I’m having to apply pressure to the bit and lean, and we just end up going in circles.
@@Riding4LifeWithPiper hey this is a common issue, I will make a video on how I work on a better stop that works for every horse! I’ll post it this week
Thank you so much!
I read the description, and I really hope your mare gets better! Also, this is so true!
@@Riding4LifeWithPiper thanks so much 😊
Ofcc! Please post an update abt her!
@ I just posted the update of her hoof 🙂
Great job love Indy
@@TollaFreeman thank you!! It healed up well 🙂
So, why do you change the direction? Cause, you went to the right in the first barrel, then left on the second barrel? I’m very new to barrel racing.
@@Riding4LifeWithPiper thanks for asking! The barrel pattern is a clover leaf. You can do one right and two lefts or one left and two rights.
Ohhh, tyyy! I ride horses, but I haven’t been able to get into the barrels yet! Also, how do you figure out which way is your horses stronger side?
@ you can feel it a little when you’re just riding around if they feel more comfortable left or right. Most of the time they’re better to the left that’s why we take first barrel to the right and the other two are left turns
Ohhh, thank you so much!
@ you’re so welcome ☺️
She's beautiful and I would say she is a strawberry palomino! I'm just saying
@@miki462011 thank you! That would be a very beautiful colour! Time will tell..
I have a 4 year old who has been exhibitioned a few times . I try and expose her to a lot of different situations to build her trust and confidence, but even if we do 5 back to back exhibitions, when we go to do a run she still spooks everytime. Is it just a time and experience for her thing? Or is there any advice to help get her past being so spooky of her surroundings
Its hard to say what it is without seeing it. Is she relaxed during the Exbos? Are you getting her to focus on the job or is she distracted during the Exbos too? If she isnt relaxed or focused she likely wont be during a run. I'd suggest maybe if there is open riding to do that instead of a lot of exbos and not really accomplishing the goal. try to ignore her when she is spooked or is looky, just keep riding her past the scary area without making a deal out of her being scared, keep going past the area and eventually she will get comfortable and wont be making a deal about that area any more. She is young too, 4 is when all this stuff is expected. Enjoy seasoning a young horse, it can be humbling and so rewarding.
@@WeCanHustlethank you for your reply. Im probably definitely rushing things just a little. I just need to step back and take little more time to getting her relaxed like you said
I’m literally selling mine rn😂😂
Gimme that grey baby 😍
After some contemplation I decided…. Not to sell her 😅
Never seen a gag bit even have a curb chain
@@-qj6ps no? A lot of them come with a chain but I will usually swap it out for other option; leather, beaded etc.
This is so helpful ❤
@Browneyedgirl-nm awesome happy to hear that!!
My horse loves his cricket. I do J&C bits on Facebook.
How do I teach my young horse how to add speed? She isn’t confident be she doesn’t know she has that gear, I have a big rodeo in about a month that I want to hopefully get her a little more drive by then
@@kelseywalker9320 if you have a safe place try to let her open up onto a high lope/gallop. Speed takes time, but don’t give up! Also, being quiet in your seat, sit back and push from the hindquarters forward. Confidence is important, it’s only one rodeo there will be so many ahead of you 🙂
do you like you saddle
Good show!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Feel that🤣
@@zoey_stoltzfus one day it’ll be actually fast 😅
First love you videos
@@Avery-Aj aww hi!! Thank you 🥰
First off, very beautiful baby! I think you both did super good!
@@chickinpickin1 thank you!! Appreciate it🥰 I think she’s pretty cute too!
Thank you this helped me
Thanks for sharing that awesomeness.
SOOO GORGEOUS! Thank you! ❤❤❤❤
You’re so welcome!
One of the cutest babies on earth
Glad I’m not the only one who feels that way😅
Just so sweet and beautiful
Palomino and what a beautiful fillyl‼️✌🏻🇺🇸🇨🇱🐎
I love how you focus on the relationship and helping your horse relax and accepting them for who they are:)
Oh my goodness they are beautiful horse ❤❤you are very lucky ❤
Thank you I agree I am very fortunate 🥰

Momma has to work to keep up😅
Absolutely beautiful creatures...❤
Look at me momma. I can fly. ❤️😁🙌
Canario
The end 👍🏻👍🏻😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Dunn palomino ❤❤❤❤🎉
Difficult to guess yet. Maybe she will keep that beautiful honey blonde palomino color she shows now. Anyways a good horse has no color. And she is breathtaking no matter the color🫠🤩🫶💎
I’d say she’s peanut butter 🥰
palomino, she'll get her blond mane and tail later
I hope! Her main has some silver/white going on in there so 🤞
@@WeCanHustle just watched Homestead Horsemanship's new appaloosa foals birth and Jr explained about it.
You cant always tell until the baby coat sheds.
❤❤❤❤❤
If there is such a thing looks like a diluted version of a buckskin
That’s wonderful! That’s the kind of room a baby needs to play and to learn to be an athlete!
Yes she was loving it!
They always look like their head is too big for the body at that age. 🥰
Milk chocolate with a bit of white chocolate on the face 🥰😍🥰. Otherwise known as ADORABLE ❤❤❤
Agreed!!! 😄
Shes a dun ❤
she’s beautiful!!! Palomino i hope 🤞 ❤
Beautiful ❤
Omg what a beautiful video. Thank you for sharing ❤🇨🇦
Of course! You’re so welcome
I could watch this allll day long! What beautiful babies you have😊
Looks like a sorrel w/a beautiful white blaze to me...
New update video of Pearl! Find it in our shorts area
Palomino that will Grey out. She has that darker color that indicates she carries Grey. If she were just palomino, she would be lighter, even dark palomino foals start lighter or redder.
You think even with the dun look she’s go grey? I have my suspicions because he’s main has silver in it
@WeCanHustle if you google image search palomino going grey she may not even carry dun. The darker areas are indicative of grey. Palomino dun foals are red based, they're red dun plus cream so shouldn't have that grey at all. They're almost apricot colored.
@@darkmoonlady2002 woah you’re so right there.. I found a foal that looked just like her and it’s grey now.. thank you for your help!
