Elite dangerous, a beauty that never gets old.
I've found some older pics i thought I had lost.
Many thousands of game time hours past and still I get taken back by just how beautiful this game is. So much more a hobby than a game.
Music played by myself

This is my first real go at a small grid gone wild style ship with a full interior and survival ready.
Been so long since I played this thing that I don't even recognize the ship. Nice little trot around the galactic neighborhood.
@@martyschrader thankyou, i get pulled back from time to time and go on some exploration binge :)
Nice piano playing. Glad you liked my idea!
Thankyou very much :) . Something about the piano and space exploration just sits well. I'm thinking of going to the core and playing interstellar with some great shots of Sagittarius a ect and different anomaly along the way.
You'll have to excuse the poor editing at the end 😂
Can you spot the star that gives me a wave?
A peaceful journey to Colonia, time to start the return journey with some exploration along the way.
Looks really nice, is that you on the piano?
@@Lee-yl3ev no, but that does give me an idea
This is sick 👌
Saw some Star Citizen shnub talking down on this, THIS GAME LOOKS WAY MORE FUN
@Skrimpbiskit there really is nothing like the sand box elite presents. 400 billion systems, it's just mind boggling
@@EternalHorizons86 Yeah did some research on it. Going to do a benchmark tet and see if my computer is up to it. It runs Destiny 2, Assassins Creed Odyssey, and a few other games very well. Elite Dangerous SOUNDs and LOOKs better than Star Citizen, plus the community seems LESS snobby LOL
@@Skrimpbiskit Elite dangerous is much less graphics intensive than those games. The game itself is like 10 years old. Star citizen does have some stuff over elite, and elite isnt without its problems, but the difference between star citizen and elite, is that elites acctually fully released and functional and is an acctual game. Its basically Space Flight Sim the MMO.
@@f1reman237 I ended playing for 3hrs yesterday, got the hang of some things....not quite sure how the permit system works? but I need to start a new character cause in 3hrs I racked up 250k cr in fines LOL
@@f1reman237 Its very barren, but damn is it fun once you figure out how the game thinks. I struggle with maintaining fuel 🤣
You're almost there, you forgot to put a chair on the inner ring though ;)
@caspatio it's funny you should say that as on my bigger version of this i did that once during the early stage design of it. I do sometimes think about making a theme park lol
Nice
@@ColinJordanVanDerMerwe-tr1kv thankyou :)
Nice ship
@@ColinJordanVanDerMerwe-tr1kv thankyou
How did you doo the space train? Do the “track” serve a purpose (guidance they are using to keep the car pointed in the correct direction or movement via traction along the length) or are they aesthetic?
How long did it take you to build?
@cheesegreater5739 this was a good 50+ hours of building
Awesome looking ship!
@@Lee-yl3ev thankyou.
I legit thought this was a empyrion video at first lol. Bad ass builds tho for SE. Very nice
@@_Kitetsu thankyou :) I'm going to develop a few different versions and styles of this build :)
Good work here !
@@SceptiKalmannsSandbox thankyou :)
Very cool station. How long did it take for you to make? How did you do the circular blocks part in the middle of the station? It looks incredibly rounded
@jamessmith8727 thankyou very much. I use 2 of each sloped increment and then at a distance it gives quite a cool effect. I built it on a dedicated server a few of us were renting once
Very cool mate, looks a bit like the Corvette from Elite Dangerous.
@Lee-yl3ev thankyou, yes I thought that in places which has made me think, if I made a few changes to the design then made it upscale to a large grid i could have the template for a full replica on my hands. Oh dear, I feel the stir of another big project inside myself lol
25,000 pcu small grid ship. This was a build i started a long time ago and recently found in my old blueprints so I've finished, the interior compartment have further space for seats and other configurations of cargo and utility depending on situation with multiple connection points throughout the interior. This was alot of fun to build, Flys beautifully too with the new proto Gyros recently added to the game.
A like it. Why you don't gave us the blueprint?
@gabrielluiz2568 just not something I do yet. I'm going to work of a few different versions of this in a fleet all with thier own purpose, all programed propperly. Then, I may release them and let them break thier one of a kind cherry lol :) Also tho, everybody seems to share thier builds. I do quite like that this is the only place at the moment to see these builds before people take them and send me videos of them crashing them into eachother lol .
Pro tip, you can grind down the drop pod thrusters and place them back on with a remote control block. Now you have a ship to go find yourself somewhere better to base instead of packing up everything and moving.
@Rage_Spammer yes totally. This however is relocation of your entire starting outpost should you jist have got self sufficient and not yet moved :)
or just relocate with your starting pod
@@Reginald-Erasmus yes indeed. This is more if that hadn't been done and to shift a more substantial amount of items
I highly encourage the use of mods and scripts. Can make crazy good tanks. I have a few replicas of IRL vehicle that ive posted
@cobeylynch4733 I apricheate that and I can see how incredible good they can be. For the most part the i quite like the challange of making something with what the main games has. I can fully apricheate the quality of modded builds. You can make tank tracks in the base game too, just alot of work. I'll check out your builds for inspiration :). That was the first ever tank I had a go at building just off the top of my head in a survival game a long time ago.
@EternalHorizons86 I like that base game stuff too. Admittedly though I would not have played SE for as long as I have without the ability to build my fav IRL vehicles
@cobeylynch4733 how long you been playing? Been at it on and off for over 9 years here. I find little breaks to go binge a different game then return with a fresh survival game help personally keep it fresh
@@EternalHorizons86 slightly over 3k hours so far
@@cobeylynch4733nice, that's some commitment. I'm around 2000 hours across 8 to 9 years but with huge breaks at times.
I'm hard at work to get this ready. Just a few more build sessions and she'll be ready :) Really enjoying builds this one
I only dream of a ship being able to do this while moving without imploding on itself or able to even have any moving parts at all
this is one of the coolest bases I ever saw! Good work !
@melcorass thankyou very much :)
I dont understand anything happening, last time i played space engineers was like 2017. But this looks very cool
@starblame5482 the game has changed so much. You should come back and get familiar woth it all again, catching up with all the changes (spoiler there's been alot) ready for SE 2 to be released soon hopfully
What was the ball automation?
@astralkraken that is a gravity transition lift from the mining station to the train station, which is on a separate completely different angled lift. It's completely not needed, lol.
Good work!
@@Dagonius. thankyou :)
If you reached the point where the ship is finished and only needs interior designs, post it to workshop or io as an "empty" version so people can fill it to their own wishes.
@M0d4l3 a huge amount of work has gone on the interior as you can see in the vid, especially the emergency escape pod firing room and reactor core. That is a great idea tho, I may do a gutted version some day
I think this is a pretty nice mix between star-trek esthetics and practical space engineer design.
@M0d4l3 thankyou, i took clear inspiration from Star-treck but went my own way with it. Its been kind of a back ground project whilst doing other bits
Love it!
@@SwordOfJustice2007 thankyou :)
So many areas yet to do and huge spaces ready but I wanted to make a video of Beyonds current state. Can really get lost on this ship.
Looks like a lot of work! Very nice mate.
"Fancy, so what does it do?" "It Rotates!"
This took a bit of designing and programming to get right
Still think your crystal maze drill is awesome 😊 xxx
@LeanneOConnor-x7b thankyou beautiful xxxx
I miss Crystal Maze, almost as much as Krypton Factor. TV just isn't what it use to be. Brings back memories of the Radio Times and highlighter pens.
Finally got my main survival games asteroid base saved on a video I like, what do ya think?
Where we're going, we won't need eyes to see.
wooow
That's a nice twist on the spinning reactor concept.
Beautiful.
@DVS-rb9wn thankyou :) check out my gyro and chaos engine prototypes, you may like the look of them also.
That's cool!
@MarshMello00 thankyou, I'll be uploading a much more indepth video of the whole area soon, keep an eye out for it
Not bad takings for 2.5 hours work me thinks :)
I don't know the rotors are but that's some damn good movie magic right there
@manuelzamorez thankyou :) I'll be doing a video soon more indepth of the whole area.
Rotors are rotators. They rotate.
This is the power supply to my hydro facility on this ice asteroid.
This ship is almost entirely of heavy armour, but she still moves pretty well.
Gate 3 is in need of a fix up (guess someone had issues docking lol)
An early game build
This actually pulls in a very high amount of ice per min and has a dump off system to deposit the ice over a large collector.
I never got around to finishing this before the server got shut down.
