      Oh, heck yeah! I can honestly say it's one of, if not the most amazing experience I've ever had. There just isn't anything like it. After 18 miles, a dozen water obstacles, sliding down rock rapids on your butt, and standing up with 80 pounds of water in your backpack a couple thousand times... you are more banged up, scratched, and sore than you've ever been before. And I can't wait to do it again.

    • @bcgunner9324
      @bcgunner9324 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The full size 75 runs a 4.7", barrel, which is what this gun has, before the crown job which takes off some fraction of a millimeter of course. This is a classic Cz75 slide and barrel.

    7yards is a greater distance than 10ft. 3ft/yard, 7x3=21..js 🤷

    Thanks for the review of your CZ! Been shooting an Archon Type B just starting out in IDPA. I am looking at the Czs for a gun with more weight and a little longer sight radius. I found a CZ 75 B SA used with some trigger work vs a brand new CZ USA 75 SP 01 orange that is SA/DA? Would you have any suggestions or input to help me out? Would the orange be just as accurate as a accu shadow or not? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    • @bcgunner9324
      @bcgunner9324 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      To be honest, I wouldn't worry about the accuracy of the gun itself. Even a glock 17 in a ransom rest is a 2.5" gun at 25 yards (minus the cold bore shot). They are ALL more accurate than you are. I would worry first about 1) what division you want to shoot in, then 2) maximize your advantage in that division. If the gun you're going to be compete with is a race gun (i.e. you're not going to be carrying it)... you don't want the disadvantage of the "B". Go right for the Shadow. 75 SP-01 is a great gun for SSP... 75 shadow SA or SP01 shadow SA is a great choice for ESP (what I shoot). You can't shoot a single action gun in SSP. The most important thing in choosing and using your gun, is to pick one who's shape and characteristics help YOU shoot the gun, as accurately as YOU can. For example, if you can't reach the controls... it won't be a fast gun for you. If you fight the trigger in some way, the gun won't be fast for you. If the sights suck and you have a hard time picking up the front dot, the gun won't be fast for you. I love the CZs myself, because the inverted rails give me more purchase on the front of the frame where my left palm and thumb twist clockwise against my dominant hand, and because their single action triggers, when done right, are amazing. They are just great shooting handguns that don't break the bank. The Shadow Orange is the creme-de-la-creme, if im not mistaken, as everything is hand fitted by CZC. Unless you're pushing up against taking bob vogel's position away in the nats, i wouldn't worry about it... or unless you have money just sitting around being used as TP, then go for it. Personally, I think starting with a standard 75 shadow and putting an SA trigger in it is the way to go for ESP (the backup gun you see in this video here). The gun, the magwell, the grips, and the trigger was only 1200. Not too shabby, and it is a tac driver.

      @@bcgunner9324 Thanks again for all your help! I love the feel and the ergonomics of the Czs. I have only shot my friend's Cz sp-01 stock tactical but it seemed a lot easier and more comfortable for me to shoot. Is there a shop you recommend if I bought my own shadow to have the trigger work done to switch it to SA? Thanks again so much!

    • @bcgunner9324
      @bcgunner9324 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jeffslye2489 I would buy the shadow directly from CZC, and have them ship the gun directly to your FFL exactly the way you want it. You simply call them on the phone to oder. Step 1) find the base gun on their website you want to start with Step 2) find the options you may want to have put on the gun when you call them to order your gun, you just go through those options on the phone and have them ship it already ready to go. Looks like right now there is a sale on the SP01 Shadow. If you're going to shoot in ESP, this is the way to go. I would simply do what I have set on my backup shadow seen in the video (if you want). grips, magwell, and single action flat faced trigger. There are dozens of options, you don't have to choose what i have chosen. You can do nothing to it, or go "the works".. But in competition, you want to maximize your advantage for your division, and in my book, Grips, IDPA magwell, and flatface SA trigger is the minimum. IF you decide to go with the IDPA magwell, you will also need to order mags with their +0 aluminum baseplates for the mags. They are required to work with the magwell. And while you're there, buy a stack of the +10% power mag springs and put them in right away. Toss the factory mag springs right in the garbage. czcustom.com/cz-75-sp01-shadow-9mm-91154-black-cz-custom-exclusive.html If SSP is more your thing, the SP01 tactical is the way to go. You may have them go ahead and install a trigger with less of a curve to it. I have huge hands and the factory curved 75 trigger hurts my finger. There are a couple options that are slightly more straight (but still curved) that don't hurt. You can see one on my P01 in the video. (the compact i pull out, talking about a light trigger return spring). Here is a link to the SP01, but you can buy this gun from anywhere if you're not looking for custom work. Another great vendor is oakhillguns. czcustom.com/cz-75-sp01-tactical-cal-9mm-luger-light-rail-decocker-tritium-sights-black-polycoat-91153.html
