Matěj Balcar, a 21-year-old artist from Hradec Králové, Czech Republic, is quickly gaining recognition in the underground techno scene. As a producer and live performer, he launched his solo project "Tuulacult" on April 27, 2023. His journey into music began in 2019 when he started collaborating with vocalist '3lie,' marking his debut as a producer. Their partnership allowed Matěj to blend his passion for electronic music with 3lie’s unique vocal style.

Specialising in driving techno, Matěj’s sound is defined by his use of unconventional, vintage-style synthesisers, both analog and digital, creating a nostalgic yet contemporary dark techno atmosphere. His upcoming release "Break The Cycle," is set to release on September 27th and highlights this signature sound. Initially performing live synth gigs, Matěj has since transitioned to DJ sets, combining his productions with tracks that inspire him, while retaining the raw energy of his live performances.
