I don't like the Italian style because it really hurts the game and in the past they also had a tendency to dive a lot (thankfully not so much in the last tournaments so they might finally stop this habit at the very least).

@swanpride Don't get me wrong here: I don't like every aspect of the Italian way to play, but some aspects of it, especially the defence and their surprise attacks out of the defence, out of nothing. No surprise for me as a German that it is extremely difficult to deal with that, because German mentality is one that aims to be prepared, and you cannot really be prepared against this momentum of surprise they suddenly create. Yes, you are right, they dive cleverly if it is useful for them, but there are far worse nations in terms of that, and let me be honest, this problem could have been solved years ago: First step: Clarify some of the rules to make them very clear, not as many today are, making it possible to have different interpretations of those. Second step that should have been done for decades already: Video referee team that will correct every wrong decision if obvious, meaning that especially offside calls are only made by them. This would be non problem if you stopped the time as well, and I have no doubt that as soon there is some experience, the gaps caused by vid refs would be hardly noticeable, given the condition they are granted the right to overrule the actual referee and not just telling him to check it again. Let me be honest, many teams, especially some from south america would wonder about the strict punishment, cause in my opinion, they often get away with dirty play cause they do it in a smart hardly noticeable way, although they should not. In they end, I am convinced that it would lead to much mure fair play, a lot more than these bullshit ads about fair play which the fifa uefa and however they are called waste my time with. In my opinion btw, if someone claims Löw to have copied styles of other countries, I would say he did especially taking parts of the play from Spain and Italy. In the Chile Germany match, we definitely saw a more "Italian approach", although I would never claim that it was identical, more like a German adapted approach of their way to play.
