Awesome advice guys! All Z71 Tahoe’s/burbs come stock with skid plates but Z71 does not guarantee them to be 4x4, some only have the “off road” look but in actuality are 2wd.
@@z71overland05 great info! Thank you
Sounds Gay, and all the work is terrible.
3 tires.
1995 Silverado 4L60E. Daily driver. 229,000miles. All stock. There's no 2nd or 4th. It was shifting 1st to 3rd, and 3rd to 1st. Does same behavior in D and 3. In 2, it doesn't shift out of 1. When in 3rd, when I stomp on it, it tries to kick down to 2nd, but just flares the RPMs, bc there is no 2nd at all. Fluid clean, red, and full. No burned smell. Is there anything it could be except for 2 and 4 bands or clutches? Guess I could measure the Servo and see from there, eh?
@@thesetruths1404 yeah mostly clutch packs/band
@adventurefriendsgo if servo rod or something broken would that also cause no 2 and 4?
@@thesetruths1404 I think it would cause slipping of the gears not complete loss of them but you could crack it open and take a look

I’m looking to get my truck lifted with some mud terrain tires and wanted to know if It’s best if I get the axles extended. Any advice?
@@jaythemachine3845 how big on the lift. You should only need to extend the cv if you’re doing some sort of long travel that replaces the control arms

how many solenoids did you replace and what might the part number be. Thanks John
@@johnseifert9189 we don’t have the specific part number but they shouldn’t be hard to find if you know the year and model of your transmission and in total there were 4 solenoids
@@adventurefriendsgo can you type the name of the part that you replaced 1st solenoid as its difficult to understand in the video. The tranny place wants 1,700 to rebuild. I think its only the solenoid. He has a 2001 chevy s10 pickup and is getting a p1860 code

9:29 waiting for that CV to snap 👀. This has been on my back burner list for a while! Any deets on which tcase(NP261?), any driveshaft or flange changes?
@@OverlandAdventureTimes yes it’s an NP261 but when we put everything together the front drive shaft is just slightly shorter so we may at a later date grab a drive shaft from a Silverado/Sierra and plug it in
@@adventurefriendsgo awesome, thanks! I don't think I'd ever seen a definitive answer on the front shaft length.
