Welcome aboard Sailing Lucky!
Join our family of five as we sail through the stunning Eastern Caribbean-documenting our adventures, the ups and downs of boat life, and everything in between. This is our second year of cruising with our three kids (and after a chaotic first year where we barely picked up the camera, we’re determined to do better this time around!).
Follow along for a blend of family moments, mishaps, and inspiration as we live life afloat. Whether you're considering sailing with kids, dreaming of a life on the water, or just love the idea of living vicariously through our adventures, we’re here to share it all.
From the challenges of boat maintenance to exploring new shores, you'll get a real, unfiltered look at what it's like to live on a sailboat as a family. Come for the adventure-stay for the laughter.
See you on the water! 🌊

Kids swim with a dolphin from our boat!
While at anchor in the Grenadines, we get the visit from a very curious little dolphin. The kids didn't hesitate to jump in to play! We loved playing with him but very much hope he found his pod again.
We also explore the island of Bequia in the Grenadines, and take care of Lucky

The one where we learn to sail - ASA 101 & 103

We start our sailing classes! Learning to tack, jibe, anchor, and most importantly work as a team. They say if you can sail in the bay you can sail anywhere, so seems like a great place to learn!
Scuba diving in Monterey bay!

We take a break from sailing training (more to come on that topic!) and check off a big bucket list item: scuba diving in Monterey! And it is as wonderful as we imagined…kelp forest, jellyfish, and friendly seals

We take a family trip to Roatan and the kids practice freediving!
Thanks for sharing your sojourn in paradise. Yes, an interesting sweet/sad encounter here. Dolphins are fast friends with sailors, we know! So, it's understandable that this lost fellow stuck around with you. We _do_ hope as you said that he found his way home.
So much fun guys, keep them coming!
So lovely and going out with a Captain is smart as well as having the family all together! I subcrided hoping to catch my husband taking an interest! I was born on The Gulf of Mexico he was born in The Alps, his joke is this " What is the difference between a coastal born and a mountain born? The coastal born can swim!" I am hoping he will watch and learn not to fear the deep blue. Good luck with your Leopard 48
Thank you for the kind words! It’s never too late to learn :)
@@sailinglucky48 I grew up sailing, my husband has taken a course, yet he hasn't leant to trust nature. Lolol. We have sailed ⛵️ together on short passages on Lake Como. I just think once he followers you and your family, he should see how stable catamarans really are! Looking forward for him to also see how very adaptable children are! So I can say, "look the children are comfortable" I am excited to see you as a couple, adventure into a sailing life. ⛵️
think you got it wrong when you said I hope nothing breaks on the sea trial,be n better for rhe previous owner to pay for repairs rather than you when you takeover the boat, anyway the best of luck, I will be following your adventures, Fair Winds and Following Seas
Ha yes wouldn’t it be perfect if everything came out before ;) we’ll take the good news though, no major projects to start with!
I don't normally stick my nose into other people's business and since this is the very first time I've seen your channel I don't know anything about you, however. Have you ever lived on a sailboat? Have you every done any substantial sailing offshore with your family? I can't tell you how many people I know found out it wasn't for them, after they sold everything quit their jobs and did it, than regretted it. With that said I wish you well and I hope it turns out to be everything you expected it to be and more.
Thanks for the good wishes!
First job asap when you do get your boat, safety netting around the whole thing to keep those little ones safe from going overboard
Thanks for the suggestion!
I hope you checked the bulkheads on that boat.
with all the people with Leopards that I subscribe to, nothing has been said about bulkheads and the boats with the most bulkhead problems have been the Lagoon 45s
👍
Glad I found your channel! Subscribed and look forward to following your adventures!
Thank you Richard for the follow! We will be sharing more videos soon!
I'm so glad I found you. We are also the same shoes. About 20 months out. Thank you for documenting.
It’s great to be connected then!
Bravo!
I'm considering a catamaran but, I subscribed because your children are adorable and seeing the little boy going down the side deck reaching up for the top life line then latching on to the lower line was just right for his size. Little sailor taking off. Can't wait to see more videos of your family. 🌺
Thank you Cindy ❤ More videos (with Matisse) coming very soon! 😊
You bought the exact boat I think we want. Not ready to buy at this point, but will live vicariously through you. Subscribed!
Thanks for following! We can’t wait to share more
Great !! Also my dream.....the Leopard looks very good, big Boat, 👍 have fun!!
We looked at the 46 initially but the 48 does have more living space. It felt like it was the right choice for our family.
Woohoo! Can’t wait to see it soon! ❤
⛵🥳
Awesome video guys, nice work! We’re so excited to follow your adventures!
Thank you! Next adventure is …practice practice :)
