Just an average guy wrenching on affordable cars with low buck tools. We'll do some small repairs to full-on restorations. This channel is mostly entertainment, if watching an old guy just working is entertaining, might be a thing or two worthy of calling educational.

Sugarloaf MTN AACA Westminster Swap 2024
Went here probably the same day you did. Picked apart quite a lot stuff for the Jag project. Its a great place to find bits and pieces you usually cannot find elsewhere. By the way, that blue Chevy Luv needs somebody to come pick it up!!!
It's a awesome place to spend time looking for older parts . The only part that sucks it's on a hill. But better than Harry's u pull it. U usually will find the part you need . Great prices as well. Enjoy your day at E z pull .I always do.
The gold Olds Toranado belonged to my neighbor in South Allentown. That thing sat since the mid 80s. He passed away about 1981 or so. That car sat there at his place past his wife passing on as well. Got towed to a garage on South 4 street where it sat there a long long time shows up Joes U pull 2024
People in Pa have to get together and insist that we can buy an entire salvage car out of a yard period no forbidden BS. Too much that needs to be saved.
I had 3 trucks stolen from me while I served in Iraq and that is where they ended up... Zaprasny. What a crook...
Ez pull is the best yard around. Its an hour drive for me but way worth going everytime cuz you'll always find parts you need or parts you dont need .
On the show the top was on and other times, Not
It looks like the Monkee mobileI think,by George barris but without it's canvas top. I could be wrong but I think it was a Pontiac originally. It's the same color , and even if it wasn't, I would still put the guitar shaped Monkees white logo on each side
Nice Video. Thanks. Is that yard just you pull it? #STAYSAFE #PHILLYPHILLY 🇺🇸
I shop there a lot. The only thing sucks is pulling a wagon full of heavy tools and parts up that hill
@jeremyrock9305 Absolutely! I've done that so many times, have to keep stopping to catch your breath.
I got some trim off that Spirit of 76.
Was near Allentown in the mid 70s in a yard that was to be crushed soon. 20s-30s-40s stuff galore. Can't remember the yard name. I'm gonna predict that late 50s-early 60s 4 door hardtops are going to get popular soon.
I have gotten a front Headlight Grille for my '85 Bonneville from there , I even lucked out on the same color.
I always find a Cole to look at the old car dealer stickers on the cars. Some are very vintage and from crazy places.
Thanks for getting the monthly update for me so I don’t have to check 😂
No, you SHOULD be naming the cars! I don't know what a lot of them are, still learning, and there is no way I'm the only one. Your amount of knowledge blows me away!!
20 years ago. It was still full of old coupes and stuff. Now the old car section is half the size and not much left anymore. Very few usable old parts. Was just in there today.
Me and my wife got the glass out of that Pontiac convertible for my 72 impala convertible and I got the glass out of the buick last year $10 each
Très sympa, mais il faut investir dans un stabilisateur, on a le mal de mer !
the car at 29:15 is a 1960 Dodge Dart Pioneer....would have been stunning when new.
I have 70's and 80's Fords and a Modern 90's Capri that I could use stuff for. I'm in South Jersey but I love Junkyards and willing to travel. I hear Grabels is a good u-pull to go to as well.
My cousin goes to Harry's just to route through the cars the money and the jewelry he found amazing
I was just there yesterday. There is hidden Jem's on and in vehicles you would never think
Pa in the house
I'm in Georgia and I appreciate the video Nice seeing the old stuff really enjoyed seeing the 61 through 63 T-Birds was hoping to see some old police cars from 70 to 72 Ford or Plymouth or Dodge again thank you sir very good video
Glad you enjoyed it!
just curious, they used to have signs that said no cameras or video. did they finally realize that videos would be free advertising. Great video by the way.
I know it use to be on the rules sign, don't remember seeing it lately and it's not on the price list anymore.
Videos like this are a great idea, for everyone.
Or Toyota Camry 2000/2001
Did you see any Toyota Tercels? I could use some parts.
Sorry, only went to the old car section this trip.
I go there all the time
12:00 - 1963 Chrysler Custom Limo (not factory produced). Looks to have base trim, so likely started as a Newport. Rear area has none of the extra moldings found on higher trims, and the rear looks like a stock 1963 Newport. So the most likely engine (seen at 12:49) is a Chrysler 361 wedge head big block "B" engine. So sorry, not a "poly block"
Good info, thanks for sharing!
Locally the yards are quick to scrap old inventory. Very disappointing when seeking used parts at a reasonable price for a vintage car.
Where is this junkyard located I need some 81 Pontiac Grand Prix parts
Address is in the description.
Is this the yard on South side of PA turnpike ???
@@jaygraham5407 Nope, this is northwest of the Allentown area.
@OldCarGarageUSA ok. Thank you. I hadn't got a chance to search the address.
Ez pull newringgold pa .
I go here all the time. I had rebuilt 2 cars basically using parts from this place. Btw you broke the rule of "no cameras".
Lol, don't think that's on the rules sign anymore. I too have been getting parts from this yard for at least the last 25 years.
Did they have any Chevy s10
@RayM-b3p They have a huge truck section that I didn't tour this trip. In the past, there have been a lot of s10's of all years.
@ I appreciate you letting me know cause I get up that way from time to time and next time I get up there I’ll stop by there
At 9:39 you can see my red 88 camaro in the far back, roof is in primer. Sold it to a guy and he scrapped it.
The green Army/ Forest truck was cool. Looked buildable. Only had one busted quarter. If you a body man that shouldn't have worried you.
Great seeing the yards with the old stuff. They're disappearing. Still have the 87 442 in my garage I bought in '96. Sits next to the 87 GN I bought in '93.
Super jealous, both are awesome cars!
I’ve been to that yard quite a bit. It is impressive to say the least.
The Plymouth engine is a RB 413 12:55 I think its a 1962 by the head rocker pads Steel crank same as a 440.
Thanks for sharing!
The existing junkyards are set to do well in the near future. With a 60% tariff on new after market parts, folks that still value their low paying jobs will walk for miles to purchase some used parts to keep their 20 yr old vehicles operating to some degree. Other less aggressive types will simply abandon their low paying jobs to steal and beg for handouts. The junk yards might want to keep in tack reasonable possibilities to trade their worst junk for a little better junk. You know, stretch that grandma retirement money handout as far as they can.Oh when all the grandchildren come back home, it will be just like family again. Oh here comes Jr up the road now. Looks like he got a couple of rotors. Hope them some good pads sticking out his back pockets.
this is my favorite yard use to go there all the time havent needed anything lately but after seeing this may have to take a ride up with my son
Wondering what size those tires are
Got them from Simpletire online. They are Deestone D502. 16x6.
@OldCarGarageUSA great thank you
Just subscribed. From Indiana in the southwestern side of the state so can add one more to the Pa Gang
Cool, thanks for the sub!
Thanks for sharing and the information on the junkyard I hate junkyard videos that don't give you the information
Agree, too many videos out there and no location info.
I'm in Englland, so I appreciate you naming all the models 👍😉👍
You’re welcome! Do you guys have many salvage yards in England?
Thanks for the tour! Other than trim and small items it’s mostly crusher food. Great prices!
Thanks for watching!
WOW! I havent been there since the mid 1990s....I assumed like most yards around here in eastern PA that they long ago crushed the older stuff......I used to hit this yard and fausts in Trexlertown for 70s f body parts......I must have got 3/4 of the useful firebird stuff from Fausts before it closed. I have wiper switches for the next 100 years.....I much rather have a good used original parts than a crummy repo that dosent fit or stops working in 3 months
Exactly, new stuff quality is horrible. I've been building a stock pile of used parts, feeling like a horder.
@@OldCarGarageUSA My friend and I bought out entire GM dealerships in the past. We'd get their inventory and make an offer on whatever they had that fit our cars. We had (and I have at home) the GM parts computer so I could tell with a few keystrokes what parts fit what vehicles. I got a lot of good F body NOS parts that way. Most dealers back then didn't know what they had and would let it go cheap.
@@googleusergp About 1999 or 2000 I got a NOS in the box 1975 firebird 8 track that way.....I got an acessory part number out of a GM shop manual and I called dealers and parts vendors in hennings till I found one for $100 20 miles from home at a dealer that was closing in Hereford PA.....I got a bunch of original white interior plastic panels and NOS headliner material.
@@jasonrackawack9369Nah I used the computer and locator. I worked smarter where possible lol.
Yup, been there many times. I've gotten F body parts out of there and like you said for a couple of bucks. I've gotten delay wiper switches for Firebirds (and other Pontiacs) for like $3-$5 and they are easily $100 on Ebay now. Those prices are still very reasonable. I think I paid $20 for a T-top back around 2002 or so. I haven't been to those yards since maybe 2012 or 2013. I have newer cars now, so I don't much of the older stuff, plus I've stocked up over the years. I still should go one of these days. Yup, I found tools as well. I once found just a nut driver handle in a 307 Oldsmobile engine and part of a socket rack, both Craftsman. I brought both back to Sears. The clerk at the local store joked, "where the other half was". I said, "In a 307 Oldsmobile in a junkyard in PA". He just laughed, went to the shelf and got me a new tool. I then asked about the socket rail and he said, "Make you a deal. If the new package says lifetime warranty, you're good." Sure enough, it did. I got that too. He just did the paperwork and said, "See you soon". I was always in there buying tools, so they knew me. Yes, 215 V8 more than likely. My mother's first car that my dad taught her how to drive in was a 1961 Skylark. They paid $50 for it, my dad and his cousin replaced the head gasket, did some work to it, they drove it for about a year and half and then sold it for what they paid for it, so no real loss there. Ah yes, the "Phony Pony" Mustang II. You're 100% right. Things like brackets, lights, visual parts that you can see and determine that they are good shape are worth it to buy used. Even some used parts like a wiper motor. The originals might work better than some "rebuilds". Starters and alternators can be rebuilt to like new condition. Things can be cleaned and reused. Bolts, nuts, hardware, brackets, relays and the like are likely just fine after sitting there for so many years. I've found odd stuff in vehicles: birthday cards, love letters, a woman's entire check book and bank statements (complete with blank checks), tools, and even literature. I was able to piece together all of the glovebox pamphlets for my 1979 10th Anniversary Trans Am 400/4 speed from those I found in the junkyard. The last piece, the brochure for the radio took me almost 20 years to find. I found it on Ebay a few years back from a guy that had it since it was about new, and it was reasonably priced too. I forgot if it was there or Joe's (or Harry's) where I got some 1974-1978 Trans Am taillights for $20. They were already out, in the trunk of a 1977 Trans Am and "on sale" that particular week. I don't have that year Trans Am (I have 1979 and 1980 model years) but they were too cheap to pass up and who knows, I might wind up with a 1978 one day. I did pick some parts off of a 1981 Turbo Trans Am (I believe it was there, way in the back) and man, everything on that car was rusty from sitting out there for a decade or more without the hood on it. I remember it had a bunch of 1980s/1990s music cassettes inside of it. It was someone's 'around town' or high school era cruiser at one time, that's for sure. You should show the VIN plates or door jamb stickers/plates as that helps ID them quickly. I had a 1979 Nova with a 305 V8 that my uncle bought new. I got it in 1993 but flipped it right away. I used the money I got for dress clothes for job interviews for my first job out of college as an undergraduate. Money well spent. I still have the two pairs of shoes I bought back then. LOL. My friend and I used to hit this and other yards and get there early in the morning. Yes, that appears to be an Exner era Chrysler product. Yup, that hill hasn't changed. LOL.
Awesome, great comments! I've traded in a number of found Craftsman tools too.
@@OldCarGarageUSA I went to an estate sale in 2002 and I grabbed all the reasonably priced USA made Craftsman. I then went to the store and swapped out whatever I couldn't clean up or fix up. I think it totaled $400 in 2002 value at that time. No problem, they swapped everything without an issue. I then would get rebuild kits for my ratchets each time I went to buy something and I built up a stock. I made up an Excel spreadsheet of what kit goes to what ratchet model number. I'd give a copy of the list to the PMT at the store and he'd bring out the kits to me and tell the tool department clerk to just give them to me. I've done well at Sears over the years with Craftsman and anything I've bought there. I miss it because I was able to get great quality stuff for very reasonable prices. I wish we could go back to those days. I still have the receipt from 1990 for my first mechanic's tool set I bought there. I still have the set, it's 95% original with only a few sockets replaced over 34+ years for warranty. It's all complete and all the pieces are there. I just used it last week and I'll use it again this weekend.
Location of yard?
@@ronirwin1855He has the address in the video description.
You walked right by a Lincoln versie ,, Granada looking 1 they had the 9 inch with disc brakes rear still under it!! Those are still valuable!!!
Thanks for the comment. Been thinking about looking for a Ford 9 inch for my 55 Belair.
That’s a good video. I’d like to get in that junkyard for a few hours. I’m pretty far away down here in Kentucky seen a lot of Pontiac stuff. I’d like to get thanks again.
I like traveling to find new swap meets in other states, may have to add junkyards to the list. Thanks for watching!
