1:06, please tell me that is all Celsius. I'm scared to bike in anything below 45. If that is Farenheit? Thats extreme, even for me.
A liberty by bicycle.😊
Thank you
How do you know when to grease it up???????1 I have one that I bought 2 months ago and I have 200 miles on it already!!!!!!!1
But how in the world would a pin just mysteriously become bent? It would have to be inserted that way…
Hi I have a dyu electric 250w foldable compact ebike it’s fully charged 4 bars but when I go out on it goes off dies on me all bars go i did get court in the rain ont time that’s when it cut out but playing up since I have not long had the bike two brand new it is or some times I have to take charger out put it back in then 4 bars come back up so wen I go to push it to take it out it’s dies then all bars go off not sure what it is think it could be my back tyre an some times I pedal it the bars come back up might stay on for five mins or so but happens again ?
My bike does something very similar, the drawdown when under load can and will cause the bike to lose power assist when I am riding it. I can drawdown from 6 bars to 0 bars and the bike will quit on me. I/Rize added a 2nd battery to compensate for the drawdown, now I am getting 90km+ in range, but once I start to get down to 50% bars I need to get it recharged to avoid pushing
First saying it will damage your phone then you can use it for other devices, pointless video. I think it's just to promote their power bank.
Can't get any
you say grease what grease is best. great video
Nice hammer but it’s for removing nails
My rq20 dosent work because I cut the light of please if anyone could help me reply
Very informative tutorial on opening up the motor hub. I have a Rad Runner Plus. Aside from the basic maintenance routine I perform like checking the air pressure, tuning the brakes, and occasionally replacing the tires. I hardly dabble with the motor hub because I’m painfully aware of how much they cost to replace. That being said I typically leave that part alone and never mustered up the courage to open them up and reassemble it. I’m now at the two year mark of owning this bike and I want to give it a proper tuning session. Giving it a nice clean and adding some much needed grease. Only thing I have left to learn is understanding the wiring mechanism and hopefully one day override the speed regulator/limiter and be able to go faster.
1:57 oh thank goodness
how to turn off pedal assist
Don't pedal..🤨🤷
Most torque sensors pedal assist ebikes behave like cadence assist during start including Rize which I test ride. It require initial movement before it allows the motor assist. During start facing uphill you don't have assist unless your strong enough to make the initial move.
Bottled water is fine, but it's gonna get cold if not freeze even in your backpack, and especially in your bag anywhere on the bike. So I'd highly recommend getting a vacuum flask at least 0.5 of capacity and keep there hot coffe/tea/cacao with some sugar/honey (any other sweetener that has lots of carbohydrates to give a little bit more energy to heat up) and take 2-3 sips from it every 15-20 minutes while you're having a ride, it'll keep you both warm and hydrated. For longer and colder rides I'd recommend getting an additional mug/thermos with hot chicken soup. It also gives warmth, and also minerals and salts which you lose while sweating plus it has some glucosamine for your joints.
Thank you for the good demonstration and the advice. Do you advise using Loctite on the bolts before putting them back in?
Yeah this shit don’t work lmao😂
Hi where can i buy a new hub motor for my mac fox
Is their a video of replacing the rear axel of an ebike
Im thinking about going to buy some tools and take apart mine. it stoped working, and when i push the bike backwards, the weel gets stuck and don't go freely.
My rize bie (regular rize model) has over 1k km’s and just randomly stopped working. Batteries seem to show up on lcd and lcd turns on, but no power/ability to move. As soon as I turn it on the headlight/tail light are automatically on, and it wont go above 1. On 1, the throttle does nothing. If i go down to 0, its stuck there. Wont go back to 1. There is a small crack on the bottom of my throttle but must have been from the one time i had a minor crash running into a curve. Telt like it was mostly the wheel that got sorta warped but still fine. Was a stupid mistake trying to take a phone call riding. Anyways, im rlly hoping its an electrical wiring issue thats simple to fix as i just missed my dr appt the other day assuming itd work as usual and being unable to figure it out. Gonna go re check the wires n shit now. Lil rust on the sprocket tho i gotta be better at cleaning at and get some proper grease/lube if wd40 is not good
Thanks, man. Was going crazy putting it back!
I have loud rattling/grinding noises coming from my motor hub,I have found any loose spokes so it has to be inside the motor hub,my question is how long can I get away with using my bike while in it’s condition and my guess is those teeth you mentioned that need to line up when snapping the motor hub back together could be damaged on mine and that’s where the loud noise is coming from,I have the discovery ebike and the motor looks the same as the one your demonstrating, maybe slightly bigger ,I don’t know how much a new motor would cost me or if that’s the cheapest route for me to go,unfortunately my bike is my transportation at the moment so I greatly appreciate it if you could get back to me with some suggestions when you have the time, thank you.
Where do I get a replacement pin? What is it called? Mine broke
What size is the bolt ? I have a e bike and the adjuster just fell off today I only found the “ boot “ and the metal thing that goes on the inside not the bolt
You forgot to put the square rounded pin in.
What about if the battery has issues..?? Cuz I changed the display, the controller, the motor I got a new throttle a new wire for the display the one going from the controller to the display and changed all the connectors and I still got 30h error on my screen ..😵💫😵💫I'm going crazy the rides but the speedometer ain't working she's stocked in high speed that's a good thing at list but every time I go fast the battery % goes down to 0% and come back to normal when I slow down....
Hello i have heybike race max im getting the e33 error code battery still works
What kind of grease do you put in there?
White lithium grease
@@BillBadMule123 thanks
PY motors used phillips screws on hub motor! So i cant remove them without stripping them 😂
Same here 😂
@lxne6590 such a bad choice... Running out to harbor freight to get a cheap Impact Screwdriver and Bolt Extractor Kit today. Frustrating!
@ Ik it’s a big pain. I did the same thing make sure to predrill a deep hole before using the extractor
@@lxne6590 grabbing a cheap extractor set that comes with lefty drill bits. Plan on using impact driver on remaining screws as I stopped before ruining them all. Didn't touch the new motor, so only damaged the old defunct motor. Swapping cores.
@ gotcha good luck
I got that same problem...i bought a new display a new controller and now a just got a new hub motor and the problem still there....I'm going crazy the battery is charging fine so idk what it's...I checked all the wires too ...😵💫😵💫😡
iv got the opposite problem my ebike wont turn off the display turns off but everything else still functions no error codes i think that the controller wont turn off but how to fix without buying a new one
That pin in the old days was called a Woodruff key that holds the planetary gears to the axel and should be replaced.?😊
It says to remove the bleed funnel once its emptied, but he removed it when it was still half full. Im confused
Thank you so much for the beautiful video, but quick question please: Is this mean that we can upgrade our motor?! Thank you again 🙂
Can I use third party battery using the ebike secondary battery outlet
motor isn't spinning the wheel but spinning the axle and making the wire that comes out twist up and unplug any ideas on how to fix this?
What happens if u leave it swimming in grease
Great instructions!!😊
I'm new to this game so very helpful thanks
All of these bikes are expensive, cheaply made, pieces of crap. None of them work correctly, they all have issues, and if you happen to get one that works, it lasts a day or two. Such a rip off.
This is a very immature comment, while I agree you can get a bad bike, in no way are all e-bikes cheaply made. If you get a bad one utilise the warranty or even take it back to the shop you bought it from. Having had several e-bikes for a long period of time I’m coming from a place of experience.
I own a crusher xj900. I was sent the torque arms for both sides. Obviously on mine the power cord is on one side. Do I use the same method to go in and disconnect the wires and pull the torque arm into position and reinstall everything?. Thank you
You don't use grease mate goes everywhere when it gets warm will ruin the motor
I have error on my display were the speed display ..could you sling me an idea to start with.thank and love your videos....
Is the seat adujtable and can it handle 2 person around 300 lbs
Hi I have a problem turning on the bicycle the screen is just flash once and is not turning on sometimes is working but not often. Looks like software or something else. Any idea what can cause this problem Model of the bike is city venture.
Where can I get replacement planetary gears at?
Aliexpress. They are straight from the factories that make the BAFAN motors for e-bikes.
I would not recommend hitting the axle with a hammer. Even with just moderate Force, you're going to upset the threads on the end of the axle causing a little bit of a problem putting your nut back onto the axle. What I do is use a soft piece of wood on the ground and carefully drop the complete rim and hub assembly onto the soft wood with the right Force. It will pop the HEB apart. MarkMannM2
Use a block of wood
