-\u003e Blues lessons for advanced beginners. Licks, rhythm & chords \u003c-
I’m playing the guitar, especially Blues & Bluesrock. If you enjoy: please like & subscribe!
I found out a few things on the guitar myself, but most of it I learned from others. Now it's time to give something back!
There are many simple licks out there, but sometimes they are a little bit boring. And there are many tasteful licks, but too complicated. I try to create licks which are easy & tasty.
If you have any questions about the lessons, please feel free to contact me.
The lessons are intended for advanced beginners. So this channel is aimed at all those who have already mastered the basics and now want to take a step further. Some basic skills should be present. The lessons sometimes reach into the advanced range.
I often play without using a pick, but it’s up to you to use one.
None of my videos are sponsored.

A somewhat demanding rhythm, but one that will take you further. The right hand is very important. The percussive elements make the rhythm interesting, especially if you play alone without accompaniment. One percussive part is performed by the right hand, the other by the left hand (by muting the string with your fingertip). It's like learning to ride a bike: once you get the hang of it, it run...

How I can improvise my own blues?
Depends on what you can already do on the guitar, what your goal is and what type of learner you are. However, you should basically know the fretboard well (minor blues, major blues). And listen to the old classics (e.g. the 3 Kings for phrasing, Jimmy Reed for rhythm).
Weiter so ❤❤❤❤
Wird erledigt! 😉
I’m so glad I found your channel, tasty licks clearly and concisely taught!
Thank you for your kind words!
True to your word, lick is easy and very tasty! Thank you for posting this! Subscribed! Love how the phrase first lands on the flat 7 creating tension then lands strongly on the root to resolve. This lick works!
Glad you like it!

Geiles Riff 😎✌️✌️
Freut mich, dass es Dir gefällt!
I listened to it for 25 seconds and then took to my guitar to work it out by ear. I recommend folks get into the habit of this instead of having to rely on tabs
Love it! Sounds great, a wonderful lick
Glad you like it!
Nice, I play it with an open A chord drone as the backing chord. Thanks for posting.
Good idea!
I have been binge watching your channel - you seriously have put in so much time and effort, this channel is a hidden gem. Thanks so much for putting these videos out!
Thank you very much for your kind words, glad you like it!

Salut et merci pour tous ces bons vieux plans blues 👍 Il y a une petite erreur sur la tablature, le glissé des cordes G-D-A ne démarre pas en case 4 mais en case 3 (vers case 2) : … G…3-2… D…2-1… A…3-2… … 😉 Bonne continuation 🖖 Samuel de Nantes 🇫🇷
Bonjour Samuel !

Super cool! Can’t wait to learn more licks.
Thank you very much for your kind words. Glad you like it!
This isn’t blues it’s just music. Blues is a type of music to express a situation of struggle in your life. This isn’t blues this is just music. There is a difference. A series of notes or a chord progression may sound similar to a piece of blues but what makes it blue is the expression of struggle it’s the emotion. Music isn’t just notes it’s the emotion. It’s THE most important part.
@@philtaylor8863 Thanks for your comment. And I agree with you that blues is more than just a collection of musical notes and chords. Expressing a special attitude to life is the real mastery of the Blues. But you have to learn the simple basics first to become a master later on. All the best to you!
@@Blueslurch it’s best to learn from the masters Ike Zimmerman Robert Johnson. I would recommend this. They will teach you why your playing the particular notes and chords in a particular phrase to express the ir stress that particular part of the song. Like a particular disaster will be noted by a descending chromatic progression for example. If you are going to teach the basics you need to explain how they are used other wise it’s useless. Like telling people the parts of a tool but not what to do with it.
@@Blueslurch I’m not having a pop it’s fantastic teaching people. Just give it a bit of context. To me that mixolydian phrase reminds me of like a set up gif a journey like a Doors intro it’s because it’s waiting to be resolved, These bits of contextual info can be really helpful.
This is blues. Blues is just music. It’s a type of music that follows certain motifs. You are acting as a bully to someone who is spreading actual positivity and information to new players.
@@samuelwynn737 criticism isn’t bullying. It’s constructive criticism. The difference between a mixolydian g7 and a mixolydian blues g7 will be context swing emotion. You have to teach the context to say it’s blues otherwise your just teaching music not blues. Happy to help.
There many ways to spice up your shuffle. This is an easy one. Let me know if you want to see more of these stuff!
Sounds great
Glad you like it!
🎉
You can use those tritones to form 3 diagonal lines right across all 6 strings. They will always be the 3 and the b7 of each chord, the two best notes which can serve as starts for your soloing.
Thanks for the additional hints!
