Designed to minimize front panel space needed and internal volume, target applications include use as a Crypto Ignition Key (CIK).
This video was shot and produced by Electronics Weekly at the electronica 2024 tradeshow where Datakey announced its newest portable memory form factor, the Mini-Bar, which is over 60% smaller than its popular cousin, the Bar series.
Datakey product manager, Paul Plitzuweit, demonstrates the space-saving design of the Mini-Bar receptacles that are designed to integrate into a front corner of small handheld, mobile embedded devices. Mini-Bar memory tokens can function as a credential or re-programmable memory device for transferring information or data in challenging harsh environments. The memory tokens use serial EEPROM non-volatile memory in either 16Kbit or 256Kbit capacities with either an I2C or SPI serial interface.
