Always learn from your messages, thanks. I have a question on the Ambassador of Christ lesson. I understand the Holy Spirit guided those who wrote the various teachings in the Bible. My understanding however was when the various books which make up the Bible were put together, we're done by regular men, like you and I. These folks weren't inspired as Paul, and Peter were. I didn't realize until your message some of letters weren't included. Also do we still have copies of those letters not included. Thanks
Yes, we still have some or all of them. Here is a website that lists them and you can Google the titles to read them. www.bible.ca/b-canon-rejected-books.htm
Question: when we pray, what if we are seeking forgiveness, but are concerned when God hears our request and from scripture we are concerned our request may not be in His will.
Is is all facts. I have never been a man of God for a long time and this hurt me and made me feel more connected with him. Very very good. I've been tempted a lot and I just didn't know how to deal with it.... now i do❤
I think this is an excellent thing and all congregations, as able should do what they can for their youth. Us older folks should rejoice, may it show much success for God in the lives of your youth and all the congregation.
Thank you for this lesson, the congregations of the Lord's church need to be reminded of what Christ expects, may everyone within the Lord's church start this 2024 year by examining their life, attitude, and seek God's will in all they do.
No. You just add the Nicean Creed, and more especially the Athanasian Creed, which was written by one man, who was a Pope or commissioned by a Pope, and of course didn't get revelation from God, for that ended with Jesus Christ, but through his own personal interpretation of the scriptures. You also borrow from the Gnostic Gospels for the Immaculate Conception, which is not in the Bible, which plainly states that Jesus Christ had brothers and sisters. But you go to the Gnostic Gospels, where you find the story of Mary's mother being of Virgin birth, and the story of Joseph's first wife, where all his brothers and sisters come from. And these stories are just as much cannon as all the stories of the Saints that are used for intercession with God instead of Jesus Christ, the way, the truth and the life, rhat no man comes to the Father by except by him. No we don't, you would say, We pray to the Saints to talk to Jesus Christ to plead our cause to the Father. Show me where it says to do that in the Bible. Yet something else you have added. If Sola Scriptura was sufficient, there couldn't be over 46,000 denominations using only the Bible, yet each teaching different things. Even the description given with the oldest known use of the word Trinity (by Theophilus about 150A.D.) doesn't match the final form, God the Father, and his Word (Logos), and his Wisdom (Sophia), a female form, when the Holy Spirit/Holy Ghost is always referred to as male in the New Testament. But this Trinity is very Gnostic in character,. It would fit perfectly in the Gnostic Gospels, which are also a hybrid of Gnosticism and Christianity.
Hi, how are you? I am from Mariana Minas Gerais Brazil there is NO Church of Christ please in name of God please help have a church of Christ here please.
It was the wind. I saw it. It's the same as Malichi Chapter 4 2. I saw a cloud shaped like wings under the sun. It was at noon. On a pole shift. The cloud held it's position under the sun at noon. It didn't move. So the wind didn't blow. When you see this it makes a seal like cloud shaped like wings n-between the eyebrows. When you shut your eyes it's a cross. It's literally a seal. It glows at night just like wings. So you're wrong. There's more to the seal but yeah just thought you would like to know. Bless you
@@theleastofthese5369 yes I believe you are dear. You havnt read the whole entirety of revelation because if you did you would understand that “not being defiled with woman” means not being defiled with false religion/Babylon the great. So please continue reading so you can get more clarity.
Do you consider it full immersion if his hand was holing on to the rail? We use 2 brethren to do baptisms to make sure they're fully in that 'grave' to rise to a new life.
Revelations 19:8,9 I see there a connection with the fine linen is the righteous acts of the Saints in Matthew 22:12 friend how did you come in here without a wedding garment I just see there could be a connection here
Not only were the Christians being spitefully used stolen from and abused but some were even being betrayed by other people they considered a brother and sister in Christ
Chapter 11 when he was told to measure the temple of God and the Altar and those who worship there could he be referring to the church the body of Christ because the Lord tells us that we're being built into a holy Temple for the Lord?
Don't believe in the doctrines of this cult. Baptism is NOT required for salvation, NOR is repentance. That would be WORKS that led to salvation, and NOT of Grace. These people fail to exegete the doctrine of soteriology. Just imagine a court room of law today. Legally and judicially speaking if I were a criminal evicted of heinous crimes, and I needed to pay an impossible hefty bond to go free, and I said oh I just need to believe that Jesus died on the cross, and be immersed in water, and stop doing the wicked deeds, and ask for forgiveness in order to go free, easy right??? Nope... sorry.. that judge will rightly say you have the right to believe anything you want.. you don't have water to "save you" and that wont keep you from going to jail, and yes should stop those bad crimes anyway, and yes you should be sorry and ask for forgiveness. HOWEVER, these things will not keep you from JAIL.... UNDERSTAND THE LOGIC AND HOW UNBIBLICAL IT IS??? the church of Christ movement destroys the doctrine of faith and trust IN CHRIST to be born again. It destroys JOHN 3:16!!! It destroys Ephesians 2:8,9!! and sooo many others!! If you believe you have to be BAPTIZED to receive the Holy Spirit then you would HAVE TO SAY THIS: "I did get baptized (which is something you have to do to be born again), thus I am a christian." You might as well believe you have to eat and drink of communion to be saved.... Repent from this damnable heresy and false gospel!!
I’m sorry to hear you do not believe what the Bible says about baptism. In Acts 2 the people who crucified Christ asked what they needed to do to be saved. Peter’s response was repent and be baptized. If repentance and baptism are not essential to receiving salvation, why did Peter say it was? In 1 Peter 3:21 we are told that baptism saves us. We do not believe we must earn or work to receive salvation, we believe we must accept it. If someone wants to give you a present, you must reach out your hand and accept it. Did you earn the present someone gave you? Absolutely not. You simply received the free gift.
@@checotahchurchofchrist1948 Thank you for your response. I am shocked to see that you or TH-cam did not censor my comment as they usually do. I wonder why. I do actually believe what the bible says about baptism. Unfortunately, many people misinterpret that passage, especially the church of Christ movement. If you interpret that part of Peter's sermon the way you do, then you must nullify all the verses that have everything to do with salvation, because virtually every one of them does not have anything to do with baptism... Please go and find all verses that have everything to do with belief in Jesus, faith, repentance, grace, and etc., and you will find that the common denominator is FAITH IN JESUS. (You may have a very different definition of "faith" that is not biblical.) About Acts 2:38, when you take the word "FOR" in that passage "FOR the remission of sins" and read it as "repent and be baptized SO THAT YOU WILL BE FORGIVEN of your sins" which you are translating it, then again you must nullify the context in verse 21 of that same chapter. If you exegete scripture correctly, and study the Greek, you will find the "FOR" in that passage to be "repent and be baptized BECAUSE OF the remission of sins". Do you see?? Which this translation makes better sense with verse 41 who "gladly received Peter's word..." THEN were baptized. I urge you and challenge you to really think about that... And please prove me wrong. I do plead to you to question your belief on this, because this is a salvation issue, and this heresy is no different from the Mormon or Jehovah's witness religions. The Mormons believe you must be 1) be married in their main temple in Utah. 2) be baptized in their church 3) continue to give tithes and offerings and etc all to be with "heavenly father in the celestial kingdom". They all say that no they DO NOT have a works based salvation... But in reality they do... If a man were in a severe car accident and was about to die... and you came to him... based on your translation of scripture and belief... You wouldn't be able to do a thing... If I came over to the same man and he pleaded to me he did not want to die and go to hell... I would give him the straight gospel... John 3:16...John 14:6 ... Romans 6:23... Romans 3:23-24... Romans 10:13... And much more! And upon hearing the Word of Truth... BAM that very moment that man may be born again if he simply put his faith and trust in the Savior... It's what the thief on cross did. Or should I say what Christ did for him. I do sincerely pray that you seek the truth and really find the truth about how to be saved because you may not be yourself... May God show you His Truth and Grace. Amen!
@@checotahchurchofchrist1948 I do appreciate that. What did you think about the rest of the response I made? Do you see the errors in the false interpretation the church of Christ makes? I really do care about your eternal soul being judged on the wrong side of Christ and His righteousness.
I truly appreciate your concern for our souls. Before we dive deeper into your other comments, can we both agree that the Bible says baptism and repentance are needed for salvation? If they are not then Peter lied to the people when they asked him what they must do to be saved in Acts 2.
