back when I built this rig I don't remember there being many motor options especially the larger motors, but that was awhile ago and my memory maybe isn't the best. Haven't noticed any heat, warm.. maybe, after a 12 min flight. This rig is just nice and smooth, flys great with 2800mah lipo. Definitely down the road if I have motor issues I'll upgrade them@@LovesM855A1

Also I’m using some 1500 cnhl 6s black series 100c at the moment and I want to find something a little better maybe in the 2000mah range cause this bird has no lack of power issues

I’m not sure if I 100% fixed the issue but I boiled it down to I can’t run an internal 3s battery to power my taranis while running crsf. If I run 2s or have the external battery plugged into the crossfire then it seems to work fine.

Same thing happened to me, I welded it back together. Couple weeks later it broke again along with the front mount. So I welded them both back together and left the rear off because i plan to fit a kx dirt bike pipe mount with the rubber isolater on the rear mount. I found one that looked like it would fit but I haven’t got around to doing it. It was like a kx100 or kx250

@@foto9816 ahh I just have the front bracket installed for now. I figured it wasn’t worth welding cuz I imagine it’ll break again. I feel like it’s a design flaw. Hopefully the front bracket doesn’t break

@@foto9816 thank you for your support, I want to know that what is the maximum range you get out of it and what is the latency on 150hz , can I use this setup for both long range and freestyle flying.

I haven’t pushed this rig to maximum range, I have successfully flown to around 2 miles and LQ looked good for more. I don’t use mine locked in 150hz. It usually goes down to 50hz pretty quick but that’s at 200mw. I use it for freestyle and to get out to some distance. I also use tracer and I like that better for freestyle especially on smaller 5 inch rigs that don’t have a lot of room for the 900mhz antennas

I definitely don’t have much confidence in my crossfire modules right now. What radio are you using? And what are you using to power it? I recently switched to a 3s Lipo to power my x9d+ and it seems like this might be doing something weird

@@foto9816 I'm using 2 radios actually. Qx7 with XF mod of course and T16-pro. I'm running 3.74 I believe firmware. Ive had multiple overheating this summer and with the telemetry from bluetooth failure I've since moved back to my Cheap R9M with Bluetooth mod that's worked flawlessly for me. I fly planes so the so called low latency of Xf isn't much of a thing for me. Also love actually having 1-16 channels through Sbus and having FULL telemetry to radio ,then from bluetooth to android devices for live maps. Something I could never achieve when using TBS XF. Oh and I use only 2s battery on both Qx7 and T16. The T16 pro is a whole other error lol

I contacted tbs and haven’t heard back from them. Did they tell you to get your warranty through reseller? Ill have to lol into that cause I don’t dare fly with it now

@@foto9816 FWIW, I've been flying Crossfire for two years, and have never encountered this until today. Normally I shut off my radio after each pack, but today I was flying for 25 minutes straight with no chance for the Crossfire TX to rest (fixed wing). Considering it was burning hot, I assume this is a serious overheating issue. Not great.

@@DerivativeOfJohn What power output were you running? I recently swapped my taranis x9d+ SE battery for a 3s lipo. I'm wondering if thats doing something weird. Have you recently changed anything in your setup?

@@foto9816 TX was set to 500mW dynamic. I was about 3 miles out above a field, perfect LOS, so it was transitioning between 100-500mW at that distance. I'll try to replicate on my incoming TX16S this week.

And yes, this is a new setup. I also have a QX7 and Crossfire TX Full. I've been flying the X9D+ and Crossfire TX Lite for only a week. This is the first issue I've encountered, so I'll be experimenting with different radios can swap modules to troubleshoot.

I know, luckily it happened right when it did and not over water or something. I think it’s just a faulty crossfire module
