      I think it should still be able to rotate since the screw goes on the glue part and just fastens the dowel to the leg

    Nice work Adam. I’d like to see you keep going on this to figure out a way so the clamping block doesn’t slip, because it clearly still does with the set screws. My idea would be to have the cam be in line with the bar, rather than off to one side. Have the cam bear down upon the bar to lock in place, maybe a stepped cam that has a smaller offset for the bar and then the cam can squeeze the workpiece with a larger offset. Incredible work with the 3D modeling, BTW🙌🏻🙌🏻

    • @jnicholson061905
      @jnicholson061905 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Easy for beginners to obtain a simple drill, some bits, and a circular saw. You can always find these things gs at garage sales, estate sales, thrift shops, Facebook marketplace, or Craigslist for cheap. Most of my tools were obtained one piece at a time secondhand, and I still consider myself a beginner. You don't need an expensive track saw. Just a circular saw and a straight board to clamp as a guide.

    • @Peanutbreese2001
      @Peanutbreese2001 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yeah I’d love for you to show me the 1000 plus in tools here you could very easily go to a garage sale or a pawn shop/ old hardware store or even Craigslist and marketplace and buy all the tools shown for sub 100 all day. If your a beginner you don’t need dewalt or Milwaukee. These are tools everyone should own anyway but if not it’s super easy and cheap to obtain if you have some patience and common sense

    Really enjoying this mate. Two quality of life things. The audio on your phone seems to be superior to the mic you were using in the intro. Also, when shooting towards your garage door, try having it closed and using a light inside. It's nearly impossible to see the bike as the outside light blows out the shot. sorry mate i only just saw your comment! thanks its been a huge journey :) i actually sold the cnc as i didnt really use it and would rather have the space. it was a great cnc and always worked well, the only thing i would have changed with it is the orientation i,e it could fit half a sheet but the opening ends where on the 1000mm side and i would have rather the open ends be the 1500mm side. 1. to make it easier to load material and 2 so that you could theoretically cut a full sheet if you made a cut moved the material through made another cut ect.
