    Just had my brachioplasty august 9th 2024 and one arm is super swollen all the way to my fingers, the other arm is fine. How can I reduce swelling.

    • @DrHagopian
      @DrHagopian 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Treating the swelling all depends on why the arm is swelling more than the other, I would contact your surgical team and see if the swelling can be evaluated.

    Does the excess skin removal change how much yo u will end up weighing?

    • @DrHagopian
      @DrHagopian 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Removing any tissue will change your final weight, but it is usually not a significant change unless there is a significant amount of tissue being removed.

    I did liposuction but my bat arms are still there and I’ve never been in overweight, it is just genetic. Do you still recommend the brachiplastic?

    • @DrHagopian
      @DrHagopian 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Skin looses elasticity as we age, and some skin is prone to being less elastic due to underlying conditions. I can not recommend you personally get the procedure until I see you for a consultation, but for most patients with extra skin in this area a Brachioplasty will give them good results.

      We do not. If you are coming from out of town you will need to stay in a hotel for a few days after surgery to make sure you are healing well and then I will clear you to go home to finish healing under the care of your GP. if you are in town you will be healing at home.

    I'm hoping to consult with you in early 2025 about lipedema official diagnosis and treatment plan. How long is the current waiting time for an appointment? I don't want to put myself in the position of waiting too long to call for an appointment and then waiting 6 months for an open time slot. (I have been in that situation and it messes up my plans😅) Thanks!

    I'm really bothered by many before and after photos of women's face procedures. The Before photos show a woman with unstyled hair and no makeup. The After photos show a woman with nicely styled hair and a full face of makeup. Given our cultural standard of beauty, everyone is going to look "better" with styled hair and makeup. I can't even imagine what a huge difference in appearance it would make to add lighting to the mix!

    Question for a friend- if you've lost 100lbs does the skin ever tighten naturally? Or is this the only option? Of course toning may help but will it ever look less "deflated" (the friend is ME)

    • @DrHagopian
      @DrHagopian ปีที่แล้ว

      Skin tightens 10-15% on its own. 20-25% with body tite. The rest is skin removal. if you are interested you can call my office to make an appointment for a consultation and we can go over your options. 404.885.8542

    Hello Dr. Thomas. Ive been thinking about having this surgery for about 4 years and am still worried about disappointing results. Ive lost 20kg and have only minor skin laxity. My arm fat has always been an issue even when i was thin before any weight gain. My question is why dont surgeons perform liposuction ALL THE WAY ROUND the arms? I have excess fat all around my arms. What is the purpose of only fixing the lower side of the arms and not the upper? As far as i know theres only one surgeon (i think hes coined it celebrity arms) who is offering this and explains that surgeons are only trained to remove fat from the lower part, but in his own research and trials he found that skin naturally retracts after liposuction and will attach itself back onto the remaining fat so will not sag. So he offers this 360 degree approach. Unfortunately he charges an ungodly amount because he is the only surgeon offering this method. Why dont other surgeons jump on the wagon and offer this surgery?

    • @DrHagopian
      @DrHagopian ปีที่แล้ว

      I perform 360 liposuction of the arms on almost all my arm lifts. I just haven't coined a term for it. If you have mild laxity though, liposuction + bodytite has been giving me some impressive results recently. Hopefully I can post some here soon.

      Training is a big part of it. A plastic surgeon who's board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Plastic Surgery is the ONLY surgeon who's appropriately trained to do these procedures. That's by far the best way to minimize your risk of complications. Also, good nutrition and exercise before surgery. The healthier someone is, the lower the risk of complications overall in general.
