Black marlin est. 35-40kg Tackle used: Penn Fathom 25NLD reel, Penn Mariner 10-15kg rod, 50lb Penn slammer braid, 60lb leader, 8/0 Mustad demon circle hook, live slimy mackerel for bait.

Chasing snapper and other demersals off the Coffs coast on my Stealth Profisha 525. Launched around 6:30am and 6 degrees copping a wave to the chest on my way out haha. Sublime conditions out there!

I'm pretty safety conscious when I head out and this video details what I pack when going offshore for a kayak fishing session. The Ultra Trek pfd also has a bladder compartment on the back which I forgot to mention in the vid but I take out a plastic water bottle instead.
