This is my third year as a camp counselor and I am definitely going to add this to my tool belt this summer. Thank you!

These questions can give you good idea of how the camp is really doing especially if the camp has been around for a long time . I realize people can lie in interviews but if the person interviewing is being honest these questions can give someone a good overview of well the camp is doing and how well you would grow as a staff member over time . I am not in my 20s so my goal would be too land a leadership position in the future so I want to make sure I ask questions that are meaningful and ifI was hired I would want to show those qualities as well.

As someone who is looking into a summer camp career, this is tremendously useful in terms of preparing me for my potential future

Went through a 40ish phone screening interview a few days ago with HR. I now have to do a full 45 minute to an hour interview online... I was panicking during the phone call so I'm nervous about being on camera during the interview 🥲

Do I ask all 40 at once?

do i have to pay program fee if there are any fees ?

Only one comment here a year ago so I thought to add my own. My husband and I were staff at Detroit Recreation Camp in 1975. Moving forward; 48 years later we are married with 3 children and 5 granchildren. Summer camp romances can be forever.

Love this video! One thing that I learned and wanted to share with you is to look for a duffle bag that best fits your luggage and has all the wonderful features a bag can have especially in plane travel use. I'm using Nomad Lane's Bento Bag and it's a good choice.

I applied to the CA program with my friend. I will have an interview with a camp next week. Should I say at the end of the interview that I want to go with my friend or should I wait for a job offer?

I actually would recommend bringing extra socks in case you get caught in mud or rain. You don't want to be stuck in wet socks if you can avoid it
