Now there is a good place to stay away from.
Let’s go Eagles!
Super cool thanks for the video. I'll be going to Jackson in December so can't wait
Kevin Lee is the anthesis of Sean O’Malley. Dude stepped into crazy fights instead of slowly riding the train to the top. I think he could have been much better.
Are all the seats chairs? Or it’s some bleachers?
The permanent seats there are all plastic chairbacks. The lowest section is plastic folding chairs or standing room only depending on the concert
@@brooksfortenberry1124 thank you

No
The Metrocenter was the most beautifulest place😪😪😪😪😪❤❤❤😪"WHEW"HUMPH" at Christmas time back in the day oh my GOD and the people were so amazing back in the day the stores that atmosphere never again once-in-a-lifetime beautiful thing🥂❤
Guy was out and he kept tumping him, that's what he deserved for pushing him in that weigh in!
That was Derrick Lewis you fool

شدخل الحين ؟؟؟؟؟؟
Having grown up in Greenwood, thanks for pointing these locals out👊🏻
Crime crime crime
Was this early in the morning? There’s nobody walking around.
It was around 3 on a workday. Wasn’t too busy
No one is walking around cause this is dangerous part of town. The streets that run North and South crossing Capitol is where alot of crime occurs.
My parents and I wanna take a trip down to some Mississippi cities like Jackson, Greenwood, Greenville and Clarksdale.
Is this a new mall. It’s nice.
It’s not. But it’s had a huge renovation in the last year or so
Thank you.
Youre welcome
you related to Ken?
Not that I know of
Demographics and the crumbling infrastructure is what killed it. Jackson is becoming the next Detroit.
Jokers are still flying the confederate flag. Evil racist should be ashamed.
This video popped up for me because I've been looking videos of Metrocenter Mall in Phoenix Arizona, the mall I grew up going to. Watching this video I saw some architectural similarities like some of the skylights. Upon investigation I found Homart Development Company had a hand in both malls. Which doesn't surprise me as they were both built in the same decade and when malls were become a popular thing. It was a beautiful mall, wish I could have seen it in person. Both malls have suffered the same fate though.
Good stuff!
Thanks sir
I wanna go there!!
At least my hometown is famous for something.
Rufoussnake9766 Crystal grill is pretty good too!
Cool vid!!
interesting video, thanks! But, I'm still laughing...her name isn't Maybelline, it's Aibileen!
Melanie Davenport hahaha I didn’t even notice
This is one of my ALL TIME favorite movies! I'm so glad you wrote?/ produced? it!! 😆 It makes me laugh and cry every time I watch it. 😭😄 The best laughing scene, of course, is with the pie. 😃 And, the crying scene is when Aibilene gets fired and has to say goodbye to her last baby girl. 😭 So moving in so many ways. Thank you. 😊
YEAH MAGEE!! Show America how coming out of covid is done!!!🤸♀️🤸♀️🤸♂️😊😊👍
🎉🎂🎈
Metrocenter Mall (Jackson, MS) was sold Dec. 31 2019, with plans to reopen in stages. There is a pulse of hope again for Jackson MS as a social community
Mark Wiygul I hope so
And then COVID happened. Very, very unfortunate timing.
The woman who purchased it hasn’t done jack squat ever since now the state own her part of the mall cause she haven’t been paying taxes on it
So sad, I thought this was MetroCenter Mall in Phoenix, Az. 😥
Pe Ru I didn’t know there was one until I researched this video
Brooks Fortenberry I don’t think the MetroCenter here in Phoenix will last much longer.... It has a Walmart built right next door to it. If you ever come to Phoenix, come check it out. It’s like a Ghost town.
@@laninaru It actually closed at the end of June this year.
@@SilverGemini I know, it was such a fun mall back in the 90s. 😥
Do you remember what was thw teperature?...beautiful video by the way
sus2731 it was in the 30s-40s most days. We bundled up and we’re just fine. During the parade though it was in the teens with big winds. It was miserable. The rest of the time was fine
oh so brutal but also so fucking beautiful. this is skill on display, noobz. Take note or die.
I should've been UFC fighter , no one cares if you sleep at work.
WHAT YOU SAY??? GET TO WORK
@RyanJL337 lmaooo
Thanks for the post
i am actually glad the cage broke his fall, saved him from one more doink to the head on the matt
Nice can you post the other fights when they happen? I didn't buy the fights.
The way he ricocheted off the cage is so nasty... this was some high level violence. Great performance from Lee.
look up cracked streams....
@@87mjung I agree. Top notch skill.
Man! I used to love the GAP store in this mall. I came back home in 2005, and it was bad...
Many thanks for sharing!
I got my first job at Ormond clothing store in Metrocenter when I was in high school (Byram Attendance Center, another place that doesn’t exist anymore). It was great because it was one of the places your friends would hang out, when they weren’t cruising down McDowel Rd.
PinkyChiChi I think my mom taught at Byram back in the 80s!
PinkyChiChi we don’t have any family there. But she was Sherry Smith/ Fortenberry. She taught a gifted class at the middle school 86-88
Very informative & interesting👀
Monique Walker thank you!
Who edits these there amazing.
Its all me
This is awesome. Did you happen to get any video of that trombone float?
I’m not really sure. I think I already deleted all my files after I uploaded the video. Sorry
Nice, but a shame that's the only construction in dowtown Jackson going on over the last 45 years.
Love this, Thank you for sharing!
Angela Stroupe thank you!

Poor Jackson
Hello, glad to see this video. We will be heading to Magee, Ms, to take my nephew to Millcreek. We are coming from Montana and wondered what the weather is right now. I see that this was taken after Christmas..so no snow? Looks like a pretty quaint town, similar to ours. Looking forward to being there and trying our Berry's Seafood and Catfish House. What is there to do? Thanks for a great video :)
We don't really have sustained cold weather. The high is in the 60s for this upcoming week, with the exception of a cold front coming through Tuesday that will have temps in the 30s. All in all, not cold at all. We have one or two snows a year that are about an inch and melt within the day. As for the town, we have a few good restaurants to try. Jose's Mexican Restaurant is everyone's favorite place to go. Jose is the nicest man in the world and treats every patron like family. Zip's has good burgers and soul food and is a very popular lunch spot. Other than the restaurants there is not much going on. The capitol city of MS, Jackson, is 45 minutes north and has museums, malls, and all that jazz. Hattiesburg is 50 minutes south and has some of the same things, plus a lovely small zoo that is a great place for kids! I hope you enjoy your stay, and the break from the extreme cold!
brooksthought.wordpress.com/2018/05/17/day-137-5-17-18-ranking-of-magee-restaurants/ I attached an old blog of mine of the Magee Restaurants.
Thanks for the info.. looking forward to some warmer weather.
Hey Brooks Fortenberry, Speaking of food, when I go to Zip's I always get a Zip Burger with Battered Fries and Zip Sauce!!!!!
Zipssss!!!!!!
It breaks my heart, truly. I remember it's heyday, heck, I was part of it's heyday! Lol! I remember when it was built, I met my first boyfriend there, on the upper level by the food court, in front of the Diamond Jim's arcade that was there. There was all kinds of cool stores, like Merry Go Round and Coming Attractions, you could dress like your favorite rock star, lol, or Spencer's, I had a bunch of friends work there, or Peanut Shack and Orange Julius. I worked at the Glemby salon on the lower level of McCrae's from 86-88, and worked at the California Concept salon from 95-98. I have a thousand memories of and in that mall, and it makes me sad to see it go. I learned how to drive in the parking lots! Lol! Sunday morning, before it opened was a great place and time to practice your driving, the roads were good, then. A generation of kids learned how to drive because of this mall. And you might not know this, but across the street, where Lynch Street runs behind it, is a lot that used to be the Metrocenter Movie Theater, theg used to play Rocky Horror for the midnight movie, and other stuff too, like Sid & Nancy, The Wall, and concert films, like Gimme Shelter and The Last Waltz. You could have fun just waiting outside for the theater personnel to open the doors, hanging out with your friends. I could probably write a book just about the stories I have from that time. I enjoyed this, so am subscribing.
Vanessa Whitehead A trip to the zoo and Metrocenter was the best combo. Diamond Jim’s was so good. My favorite was the 18 wheeler simulator. Made me want to drive big rigs. Thanks for the sub!
I missed diamond Jim so bad!...I love kaybee toy, and other toy stores, radio shack, etc...
@@brooksfortenberry1124 I was a Galaga addict, lol, got the high score several times through the years.
@@jamesbell2939 aw man, Radio Shack was the bomb, lol!
Great video of my home town!!!!!
No place like Magee!. Thanks for the sub
That mall is beautiful inside! Looks great! Hope it can be used for something!
Good ole GhettoCenter. I think the main things that killed the mall was the area it was in and the opening of Northpark Mall.
Outdoors With Shawn yeah definitely. I’m from Magee. Picking between West Jackson and County Line wasn’t a tough decision for anyone. I hate that though
@@brooksfortenberry1124 Hate to see that mall go down as I remember it in it's better days. I'm from the coast and went to college in Raymond. At first my friends and I would go to MetroCenter because it was close. But in the late 90s, early 2000s it started to decline and we didn't feel "welcome" there. So we would hop on the bypass and go to NorthPark. Used to go to the Jackson area every year for Christmas shopping. But now the coast is getting better shopping areas, so we've stayed down here the last 5yrs. Need to get back up there and see what's changed in the outer areas.
Outdoors With Shawn The Renaissance in Ridgeland and Dogwood are great and all, but I love the nostalgia attached with my experiences at Northpark
This was my first mall! The area was much more rural in the ‘80s, so it was special. It was renovated in 1993, and had another heyday. It had a Victoria’s Secret on both floors!
