I won't say it's my favorite game of all time but it is in the top tier for sure! It's one of the only games I have ever 100%'d, getting all the teensies/time trials/happy faces/skull teeth/whatevers and beating the land of the livid dead. And I did it because it was FUN. Also, I'm not sure I can say that many other games can be this much fun and also have such good graphics, art design, music, humor, presentation, etc. It's almost 2025 and there are a lot of 10/10 games out there but more people need to recognize this one as a 10/10 game. And also I am glad you liked my cover lol

Good ears, Breadbarn! It's the #3 one, the German DER ALTER or whatever it's called! I use that one quite a bit! And then I did some fx and stuff in Renoise of course. I use the grooove bpb drums with Yamaha RX-5 samples throughout the track, too, but the main "riff" of the song has the synthwave drums pretty loud and clear!

It was a really tricky one, especially for such a short song lol but I wanted to try it! to be honest I have only played Rayman Origins and Legends, but I will die on the hill that Origins is a 10/10 game and a true masterpiece of a game. and i don't go around saying that often. and nobody's listening, anyway! lol thanks again!

that's a funny coincidence! I used to rent this game as a kid and I LOVED it. my brother and I would rent it, start over from the beginning, get as far as we could, and then rent it again and try to get farther. I don't think we ever actually owned the game. The whole game has great music but this one always stuck with me. Thanks for sharing your experience with the game and leaving a cool comment!

NGL, I've barely played it! I just really liked this theme and am looking for cold/winter theme VGM songs to do for December! The Killer Instinct artwork and designs are super iconic and memorable, though, no matter if you've played the game or not! did you ever play the KI Reboot that came out in like 2016? It's really highly regarded even though it's "old" at this point!

It’s a really good game that’s still going and getting updates even though it came out in 2012! I used to play online a lot but my free time is usually making vgm for this channel now. The game actually is all hand drawn animation and in the Guinness book for most frames of hand drawn animation in a video game ever 😳

thanks! and honestly this is pretty faithful to the original arcade version. If you're thinking of the NES version, that song is mostly BLOOPBLOOPBLOOP lol for some reason I've always really liked this game and I like to do oddball covers even if they don't get a lot of views or comments. I always say, if people want something to sound like the original, they should just listen to the original. Keep doing your thing man

@@Consolous again, thanks so much for the encouragement! And I totally agree about trying to balance the original with doing "your own thing." Sometimes I really want to recreate a lead, or the drums, or a feeling that I really like, and that's cool, but when I've just tried to recreate the song as accurately as I can, I listen and then I realize what's the point since the original is already there and it's already such a great piece of work. It's hard to be confident with choices about covers, though!
