I recommend you should put something to protect the battery since your removing glass which could penetrate the battery and lead to the cells exploding.

Hello my screen went black after a drop...days later...i can still answer it( use it so often i know where the answer or decline spots are....anyways i have All my ohotis saved to my phime numer/ phone ...if i buy the exact same phone can i just use thr new screen and mu old back- its still usabke and has weeks of airtime/data paid for already....just wondered if i could just buy a new screen and it work and retrive my old apps and pics etc. ? Great work. I wish everyone did such quality work as you. I doubt that most repair shops clamp the device for 6 to 8 hours as you did.
Thank you for your kind words. I always do my best. And yes I leave it clamped for longer to make sure it's sealed properly. Unfortunately some shops do it all in one hour or less. I often have customers coming to me with different devices that were not done properly by someone else😬.

With Samsung screens sometimes drop can cause damage to the LCD. Unfortunately it's common. Best way to get it done is to use genuine parts only. Best wishes Martin

@@mjcommunications are you sure? So normaly it should work ? I bought an pretty expensive and good screen from a company who are producing high quality original screens… maybe I didnt connect every connector right?
@@GG-hn3kj. Try to disconnect the screen and reconnect. Make sure the battery is disconnected before you start doing anything otherwise you'll damage the logic board.

2, 3, 4mm. Depends on frame inside.

Yes hair dryer is very good. Not too much though as you can damage the LCD. And I am using isopropyl alcohol. Thanks

I set my air gun on 150C. Not possible to use IPA for glass removal. . Glue is too strong for IPA. Although It's helpful to clean afterwards though.

Is it normal to have to replace the charging port on a phone? Never had it happen to me til I made a mistake of buying this phone. Randomly stops charging one night, lost access to all my pictures that were stored on it, never again.
Charging ports are often damaged by liquid. Or microphones are damaged which are located on same component.
What's the price for new screen
All these other tutorials with people talking and sounding like they know what they’re doing, but then their camera quality is shit. You said, “No sound. No problem.” Good looking out. Case cost a couple hundred, but you just saved me about $800 in a complete replacement.

I checked out the same thing and found out that the screen and LCD are both fused together so you just take the whole screen off

Great video! I did same steps, but screen dont turn on anymore. Reversed steps and placed old charge port, but still nothing. Any tips?
@@davidmacias2781 If you did the step by step, it should work normally. Check if it is charging when you are going to charge it on power suply USB. Use a Charger Test to check the current that is passing to your tablet. Normally it is 1.2A or even 2.2A. If everything is ok, then it could be the problem with the screen or the FPC. In this case you will have to take your device to Martin, or if you live in Liverpool I can help you. I hope you didn't make the switch screen with static on your body because the static could shorted out on your device. Good lock!
